I bought this for the fact it says I can use it to make new grass, I even got the Scott’s soil bags as well and did everything the bag said. 4 weeks after watering and making sure it stays moist like it requests, there’s nothing coming out. Only thing that grew was my water bill & some weeds. I’ll be better off buying some Bermuda sod instead of using this product again.

First let me say that I don’t know what the heck other people are talking about. This is a great product. I had a dead patch in my yard. I raked it a little and sprinkled it on. Watered once a day to keep it damp. After Two weeks I can see new grass growing. I used the entire container on a 60 sq/ft area. I’m going to get more for a larger area.

This product saved my marriage! Just kidding ;) but it has been amazing! I recommend this to anyone struggling with droughts/ high heat!

After watering daily for 2 weeks, only the previous grass is visible! I don't know if the bag had seeds because it was just a little blue 🤦🏻‍♀️ very disappointed to waste my money

I put more than whAt was recommended and this is what i got ……its been 10 days and weed is growing faster than the seed …. Dont know if it had seed or weed in the bag… bad product choice…. Seed wasted and fertilizer wasted…. Very disappointed … half the spot is bald

Planted in red clay soil after tilling in a starter fertilizer. Buford, GA Posted day 2w photo after first mow. Reached about 6 inches in height in some areas. It was just a little seedling a week before this pic and we went out of town to Florida on vaca and came back to it this way. I’ve got pics at various days if anyone is interested in seeing. The 8lb product didn’t cover 3000 sq feet of new yard, more like 1000. The patching I think is my fault since I reduced seed spreader.

Took a month for the seed to grow, but at the end it wasn’t what you would expect. Instead of grass, I got clovers…a lot!!! Now I need to rework to remove all that. Anyone knows if I can get a refund?

This worked well for me in my Savannah GA backyard. I had trees removed (Before pic) on May 4th and by today June 4th (After pic) I have a nice solid foundation of Bermuda grass going. I followed the directions, watered 2 times a day, cleared off any new debris, and let it go. I only ran the sprinklers in the early morning or evening, never in the hot full sun. Waited a full 3 weeks before I mowed (after pic 2" mow setting) I used one small bag and one large bag total for these results

I was fixing the low spots in my backyard and tilled/ amended the soil prior to laying this down. I raked it in and watered twice a day for a week then once a day for 2 more. It is growing in very well about 4 weeks later. I did apply more than was recommended on the bag.

I bought 2 bags of this to cover an area in my yard that was just dirt. Followed instructions to the T. Spent hours tilling the soil to make it amenable to the seed, overseeded, then covered entirely with topsoil, and watered like crazy (my waterfall this month is double the normal). After a month, this is the result. This is a very expensive complete waste of money.

This stuff really does work. I had some sort of overgrown vine brush in the back corner of my yard and I killed it all, tilled it up (2 weeks after killing), and planting this grass seed. One picture is from about a week in and the other picture is from about 2 weeks in. The rest of my yard is zoysia, but I did not want to spend the money to sod it and this grass matches pretty close in color. There are still some bare spots, but I am still trying to figure out when I can overseed.

This grass grows as quickly as advertised! I started by killing everything with herbicide. Tilled the yard 2” deep, dropped the Rapid Grass Bermuda with a Scotts drop spreader and raked it under with a garden rake. Watered twice a day for ten minutes for two weeks, then went to once day. Four weeks later I have the best lawn on the block and I’m mowing twice a week!

Maybe even worked a bit better than I anticipated. My grass was basically not grass anymore just weeds. So I cleaned it out and used this product. Now my grass area is starting to finally go back to normal and have grass. The grass itself is a good looking grass. I'd recommend this to all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Scotts Rapid Grass Bermuda grass seed is excellent. We live in DFW area of Texas and yard is mostly clay. Most of yard is healthy St. Augustine but we have a few areas where the St. Augustine just does not want to grow. Areas are almost like where you might think a grass/weed killer had been sprayed. I rough up these areas with a rake, add seed and lightly rake dirt back over but then lightly also cover with grass clippings from cutting the yard. I water the areas in the morning and again around 6 pm. In about 2 weeks i have very thin grass blades coming up and about 2 weeks later the areas are filling in. We have 2 large fur babies that we got from the shelter and they do everything they can to tear up my back yard. However by feeding it regularly with Scotts and mulching instead of bagging, we have one of the lushest and most beautiful yards on the street. Very pleased with the Rapid Grass and all of the Scotts products!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied RAPID GRASS to an area where I had replaced a water line. As you can see from the attached photos, the area is almost completed covered with new grass - in less than 3 weeks. But for the unseasonably cool weather, I'm sure the entire area would be covered. I really like the texture of the grass that is covering the area.

It was just dirt, dirt under the gate, dirt everywhere and where there were the small trashy patches of grass, when i mowed, it was a dust cloud. I bought this to see if it would work. I live in AL so i bought Bermuda. It rained, so i went out, raked the dirt up good and then put this down by just using my hand, then put some bags of topsoil on top. It rained for a few days in a row, then I watered it every other day. The pics are after about a week and a half.

I did not see any single seed germinating. I don’t know if it was expired

We chose a day when grass was moist and no rain in forcast for two days. We spread the treatment and waited. Two weeks later we could definitely see yellowing of weeds. We have now had our third mowing and grass is rich green. It works, have patience.

My husband and I wanted to use this to help add more grass to our lawn. Needless to say, we have yet to see any grass yet. We have water sprinklers in the yard and water the lawn regularly.

I’d say it grew ours even faster. It was definitely greener and looked much healthier as well. It was simple to use and I loved that it came all it one bag. Now, I live in the Phoenix, AZ area so when they say you can grow it in tough conditions, they aren’t joking! I’m in the middle of the desert! You’ve got this! (You’ll just need a spreader.)

This time during the early summer time I switched to this bermuda brand for overseeding my existing bermuda grass lawn. The result exceeded my expectation so far, it grows fast from seeds to seedlings!

We followed the directions on the bag and had sprouts in no time. Our Bayard is filling in quite nicely.

We were worried because the weather has been all over the place from hot to cold and we thought it maybe didn’t take, but now that spring has sprung and pollen season is in high gear you can really see the difference.

My Bermuda grass is about 3 years old now but not as lush as I would prefer. I followed the simple instructions and applied using my Scott’s push spreader. Will water as directed and hope to have a lush vibrant yard this year!

I would honestly put the turf builder right after the first frost. Remember to water frequently for about a week straight. Best times to put the turf builder are morning times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grass came up so fast! And it looks great - thick, healthy, and a really nice green, especially for this early in the season. I put the grass seed down earlier than usual. As crazy as the weather has been, I wasn't expecting much. But this grass is tough! Within just a few days it was already coming in and it matured really fast. It looks like I started the grass in the fall instead of early spring! I only had a small bag and used it to fill in a few bare patches. I'm definitely going to be getting more to spread over the whole yard.
