Scotts saved my back!
I had a horrible dandelion problem and I was pulling weeds every 2 days and it was like they grew back overnight. Living in a community of lawn perfectionists, I'm sure my neighbors were less than thrilled with me. I bought a bag of weed and feed and the results were amazing. 1 week later and NO DANDELIONS!!! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I haven't noticed a difference in the lushness of my lawn but like I said, it's only been 1 week. Definitely sticking with Scotts products.

    Nothing happend
I applied this product 10 days ago to kill weeds and especially clover in newly seeded lawn. Oddly, the hardware attendant insisted I purchase this one instead of the store brand. Big mistake-waste of money.

Weeds were fed & grass died
We used this product in the back yard to help with small weed patches. Now all the grass has died and the weeds have thrived! This is so upsetting and now we will have to start all over with the grass. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

We are sorry that you have experienced problems with your lawn following an application of Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed. This product has proven to be a good product and has been thoroughly tested on the grass varieties listed on the label when applied according to label directions. Unfortunatey, damage can occur if products are accidentally over applied or applied to drought and heat stressed turf. Also please be aware that issues such as lawn disease or insects feeding are often mistaken for product damage. You may want to take a sample of the damaged area to a reputable nursery to rule these out. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience please contact us to see what can be done. surprised with weeds this year
We use the Scott system on a regular basis - maybe miss a feeding once every other year, etc. This year we put down the Spring Weed and Feed expecting to kill dandelions (neighbors DON'T take care of their yard) The dandelions did NOT die this year - although the grass is green and beautiful as usual every spring after the first feeding. I wonder if there was a problem in production this year - as it appears that many people are not satisfied with the weed killing results. Can that be looked into? Will continue to use product and monitor results.

We are sorry that the Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed did not control the dandelions as expected. When using any weed control, be sure to apply the product when your daytime high temperatures are consistently between 60 to 90° F. For best results the temperatures should be between 65 and 85. Turf Builder Weed & Feed should be applied to a wet lawn and allowed to stay on the foliage undisturbed for at least 24 hours without rain or water. Since this product is initially absorbed through the weed's foliage, we recommend that the weeds not be mowed for two days both before and after the product application. This product will only kill weeds that are actively growing at the time of application, and cannot prevent new weeds from germinating. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience please contact us to see what can be done. Amazing product.
Rescued my lawn ! Applied it late April and due to the amount of rain wehad since then until may 17th, it totally transformed my lawn to dark green hardly any weeds. My niegbhors were amazed and asked my if I had a secret! In june i will apply the summerguard for the first time as it gets very hot and dry and we do have lots of bugs.

            Kills the weeds
My lawn looks great! I thought it would take a couple years to get it looking good but this product killed the weeds and made the grass greener. Once the weeds died the grass filled in where the weeds used to be. It is expensive but I would buy it again.

Go one number higher than recommended
At first it did not kill every single dandilion, so I set the spreader up one number more than recommended and that did the job. After a month or two, there may be a dandilion along the sidewalk or driveway where the dirt is exposed due to edging but, nothing in life is perfect. People going for walks stop and tell us that our front lawn should be on the cover of a landscaping company magazine! Don't forget to overseed every five years and water for one hour ONCE a week in temps below 80 degrees and above 80 degrees add one more day for a half an hour. We had our sprinlers set 3 days a week 20 minutes and it didn't penetrate down deep enough to the roots and the roots surfaced, grass was dying

Scott's products DO work when you follow a complete lawn care program.
Through much trial and error over the past 25 years, I have learned that there is no such thing as a "once and done" product. No product will cure ALL lawn problems. If you follow the program by applying the proper products, at proper intervals, and paying close attention to weather conditions, you can achieve advertised results. Patience is a virtue.

                  Love this stuff!
This product gives me a green yard, however, I still have to spray my weeds with a hose-end sprayer about 2 weeks after applying it. Would be much better if coupons were available for these products, but still a great product, although VERY PRICEY!

grass is thicker but did not prevent/controll weeds.
Overall lawn looks thicker but not in all areas, I have also put down Scotts Weed and Feed and have been pulling weeds for weeks now. The grass looks better than last year but concerning both products the weed control is weak, and yes I followed the directions completely.

We're sorry to hear that you didn't get the results that you expected. We appreciate you taking the time to comment and are happy that we were able to assist you with our product guarantee. When applying weed control in the spring, keep in mind that temperatures are important. Make sure to apply when temperatures are between 65-85 degrees several days before and several days after the application. If applied too early, results will be poor and weeds may continue to develop after the application. If we can be of any additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again. http://tinyurl.com/7ag7a3n
Kills nasty Weeds and Feeds Gras
I tried this on a empty lot that was full of Weeds of all kinds, had just a small amount of grass left. In a weeks times it has killed the weeds and now actual grass is going. Neighbors are wondering what happened.

                            1st time user.
We bought a house and I wanted the best yard in our neighborhood. This is my first time using weed and feed. Let me 1st say that it has done wonders for our yard. The property line is clearly defined and has the fewest weeds in it. I do however urge you to overlap each pass a good bit. I did it at the setting recommended with my scotts spreader and the distance between each pass, however I have stripes down my entire lawn where it did not kill all the white flower associated with clover . I plan on getting another bag and going back over the stripes. Do bare in mind this was my first time using. The product itself is amazing. Got all the dandelions. Highly recommend and will use again.

Used this product and it did not kill any Dandelion. I sincerely doubt then that the "feed" part worked either. Will not try their product again since I cannot afford to.

This product DID NOT meet my expectations at all.
I applied the product as directed 10days ago.. I have a greener lawn but 5 times more dandelions that have bloomed and gone to seed since Applying the product. My anxiety when I see these yellow flowers covering My lawn after applying this product makes me want to scream. A 1/2 acre is a lot to weed by hand! Customer service at Scott's has been very helpful.

                                  Did not kill weeds
I applied the new Scotts Bonus S Weed & Feed fertilizer on March 8 but there was no apparent effect on weeds, possibly due to heavy rains over the following week. I applied a second round on April 13. There is still no apparent reduction in the weed vigor as of May 10. The grass is very green and so are the weeds. I am planning to give it one more shot next week. So far good fertilizer, bad weed control.

worst product ever, over priced and non productive
I used a professional lawn care service for many years, a few years ago I tried to save some money and care for my lawn myself, for a Couple years I tried and used another brand with great success but we do not have a local store so I switched to Scott's the last couple of years and have had no success, their products are over priced, I could have continued my service I was using just as cheap and they would have applied it for me, since I have been using Scott's my dandelions have not been fazed but seem to be mutiplying, hard on the pocket, Scott's products are so bad I can't even give them a one star rating, I have just talked to a couple lawn care specialist to see what I can do and they said the same thing quit using Scott's worst product out there and over priced.

My friends and I bought a bag at the same time. I can say with confidence, my lawn is thriving with weeds. My backyard is not as loved as my front but I used Bayer in the back and the difference is night and day. My friends yards is not doing well either so I know it's not because either of us take better care of the grass.

It worked some what... reduced the amount of Dandelion , but not enough.
I live in Rockland county, NY. I think I have tried 4 different brands to get rid of the Dandelions in my yard and none of them do that good of a job. I put it down in early March. I used plenty by setting the spreader on high, hoping that there would be no Dandelions this year. But Its just impossible, I think to get rid of all of them would make this a great product, but it doesn't. On both sides of me, they do nothing to reduce or get rid of there Dandelion problem. So I guess Im stuck weed wacking them! Who makes a product to just kill Dandelions? I would even inject each and every one of those suckers if needed, just to get rid of them..

Now that you don't make scott's turf builder plus2. I have a lot of yellow flowers growing. Which i know well turn white and fluffy and blow away. Not only that, my grass isn't as green as it should be. Once again. Thanks again for not making it so I can enjoy the Yellow flowers. I will be looking for another product that will work.

I have used Scott's products off and on for many years. I have tried organic products and they have worked pretty well and a year that several weeds appeared I decided to try Scott's again. For two years in a row now I've put Scott's down in the middle of April and here we are in the beginning of May and this morning I see that my entire backyard is covered in yellow dandelions and....the grass isn't growing all that well. I would not recommend this product unless you have money to waste.

I do hope you'll try using one of our weed controls again, and I would like to offer some tips that may help you in your future weed control efforts. There are a few different factors that could influence the effectiveness of the product, but under ideal conditions when applied according to the directions on the label the weeds will typically die within 2-4 weeks. Grass looks Great if you can ignore the Dandelions
I used this product and the grass is nice and green and full, unfortunately so are the dandelions, did not kill a single one. Its like I bought weed and feed, and only got feed. Nothing is dying at all. I find this to be very poor especially for the amount of money I spent on the product.

                                                        Sea of Yellow
I've used Scotts Weed and Feed to eradicate dandelions for 10 years now. Every April, I make the trek to the local garden center to purchase a 5000 sq ft bag for my lawn. This year was no different. I applied it 3 weeks ago, having witnessed one (1) dandelion in the yard. 3 weeks later, my yard is covered in Yellow. What gives? I've been clean and green the past 9 years.

                                                          Beautiful, dark green, plush grass
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 9 years and I finally have beautiful grass. I switched to Scotts and I have the lawn that everybody dreams about. I had a lady stop and ask if she could lay in my yard. She said it was the most beautiful lawn she had seen. It reminded her of when she was a young girl and lay in the grass and watch the stars at night. She said my grass looked so soft and lush just blowing in the breeze. She said it was something you would see in the movies. Excellent quality, easy to use and very effective.

                                                            weeds in my yard
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Last year I bought some other brand of weed and feed and I had all kinds of weeds this year I'm not making that mistake I already bought my bag of scotts weed and feed to put down.Theirs people that tell me that scotts is so expensive but I believe its worth it because I'm only putting it down once a year. Other people are spending more on their brand to put down more than once a year, so thats more than what scotts cost.
