glad I tried out this vac ,love that it becomes a canister ... like the vac so far so convenient to go from floor to carpet!!!

My housekeeper loves it. She hinted I should get one and it's great. It picks up so much more animal hair. My motto is "keep your housekeeper happy".

I bought my vacuum after looking for a long time. This vacuum has so many good features. Its not heavy and easy to maneuver. The lift off is the best part. I can reach under chairs easily. The 3 levels of floor choices are great. I like the soft roller for my hardwood floors. My old vacuum was heavy and did not pick up against the moulding. I love having a light to see where the dust is. I always had to use the stick and suck all around the room. The debris cup is smaller than my old vacuum but that has not been an issue for me. I Love my new vacuum!

I have had the shark Apex for approximately a month and so far I love it. I had a shark rotator before this that I really liked, and this has all the features and more. It’s heavy duty quality, doesn’t feel cheap at all, great section, and for a home with three long-haired daughters a dog and two cats the Self cleaning brush alone makes it worth it. The light is very bright on the vacuum head and on the handle. The soft roller also makes it clean hard floors much better, picking up dust and dirt better than any vacuum I’ve had.

A vacuum cleaner that works well It’s a little pricey and I’m not sure if a less expensive model would have done just as well. That being said , no complaints

I initially purchased the Vertex since it was advertised for pets and quickly found out the design didn’t allow for me to clear pet hair out of the heads. Apex had a roller garage door which allows for cleaning. When you have a lot of long hair dogs, no amount of double rollers will completely reduce fur/debris entering the vacuum head. Now I can routinely do maintenance- a big plus. The suction on the Apex is great and I look forward to using it on both carpet and hard surfaces. I have a 3200 square foot home and nine dogs so a good, reliable vacuum is a must.

I use it on hard floors and area rugs. Pet hair does not wrap around the rollers. Cleans hard floors extremely well. Suction is very powerful.

I bought this almost a month ago and so far I am very happy with it. Before this vacuum, I had always used Dyson's, but I was looking for something a bit more affordable, and particularly something with the anti-hair wrap (which has yet to fail me). Works well on our LVP flooring and is easy to switch to a carpet mode. The attachments are easy and versatile!

Dog hair no problem. Dirt and mess from kids, no problem. Love love love this product.

I have 3 Shark Vacuums. All 3 pick up great. Have 2 dogs & picks up Great.

The orange velcro bush no longer rolls the dog hair into the self cleaning brush. It just gathers the hair into a pile on the roller.

I've had this vacuum for atleast a year now, it's great! We've owning a few sharks and this one is well worth the money!

I bought this vacuum for Christmas and it is probably the worst shark vacuum I have ever purchased I’ve owned shark vacuums for the last 10 years and it does not seem to have the sucking power that any of the other ones have had and I thought by upgrading to a more expensive and better grade of the shark that it would suck as good as the others did but I was wrong I am very disappointed in this product and it makes me feel like maybe I shouldn’t be purchasing shark vacuums anymore

Bought this to replace our Dyson. Pros: Swival, operation buttons on handle, light Cons: Can't use on throw rugs, Constantly falls over when using handle with hose (top heavy) and if you disconnect the case from the base it is no longer in wheels and gets heavy lugging around and that falls over if you sit it on the floor to use the handle. Extension hose is too stiff. doesn't extend well Toes and feet have been hit numerous times due to vacuum falling over. With our Dyson, the handle is able to be used and vacuum doesn't fall over, it also can go from throw rug to other floor surfaces.

So bough this thing a little over a year ago and I really wanted to like it. It came with some great features but it is awful. It's heavy and so awkward to maneuver that your arms start to hurt vacuuming. I tried, thought I'd adjust to holding and using it, but no. Terrible, uncomfortable, poorly balanced machine.

I have had the Apex AZ1000W for almost a year. Good: powerful, I feel like it cleans great. I love the light. I have yet to need to clean the roller. Two dogs, lab and husky. It picks up their hair with no wraps and no clogging. Bad: it's very heavy. When you detach the handle or the wand, the whole vac falls over with the least amount of stretch. Dyson does the same. Cleaned the foam filter. It fits over a metal cone filter, only it won't go back tight. I pushed on it to no avail. It wobbles, that can't be right. The manual is skimpy and poor. Needs a lot more pages. On the filter page, it shows the flat foam filter going under the tower filter in the top of the dust bun. No, the flat filter goes under the dust bin, not in it.

Overall I love my Shark. Specifically because it's got excellent suction, getting so much more dirt and power hair, leaving you knowing all the dust and all is gone. This was really important for us due to allergies. However, this still needs you to cut and remove the hair and strings from your roller. It's clearly a inaccurate feature of the machine. I've also had to get 2 new parts sent to me as my vacuum wouldn't work otherwise, it just quit! But the replacement was fast. I'd buy this again.

Had it for a couple of years now and this is my least favorite shark EVER. EVERYTHING gets caught in it, I swear I spend half my time cleaning it out. Also, the floor level switch has been working improperly since it got here.

This vacuum worked great at first. Now the lights flicker off & now the rollers are not rolling. I paid what I consider a lot of money for this vacuum. In fact, I've never spent that much on a vacuum. Now I am considering throwing it away. At this point, I will not ever buy another Shark product and I will strongly recommend that no one else does either. Don't waste your hard earned money!

I’ve always owned Shark vacuums and this is the first model that has disappointed. I bought this due to hybrid flooring in our new house and within 2 months the first units’ motor went out. Shark sent a replacement motor and within a month, this motor also went bad. Shark then sent a new unit completely and now this one has stopped working. The filters are washed according to instructions after each use and there has been nothing other than two large area rugs and bedroom carpets cleaned. Also, as mentioned, we’ve never had issues with any other Shark vacuum. This vacuum is a great concept but has moved our family into the Dyson direction so as to not have to wash filters constantly and since we have received no resolution from the Shark company.

This vac has awesome suction , the connections snap together good . I like being able to transition easily from hard floors , rugs , and carpeting . The light on the wand is great . I would love this vacuum , BUT ... the hose is awful ! Can't even clean the couch . Has almost no stretch . Super short ! Ruins everything ! I don't feel like I can throw out my 20 year old canister like I wanted because I still need it for upholstery . I am looking for a add on hose to buy that would make it more useable , but no luck yet . Shark , please let me know what I can use !

It’s so interesting to see the poor reviews when I absolutely love my apex. I’m sure it’s like anything, some are probably a few lemons. Luckily mine is not. I’ve sucked up so much stuff with this thing and it continues to be a champ. I would say it is a bit on the heavy side so I use it for my full house cleanings. I LOVE how it does carpet. I have super long hair and I shed like an animal, no more having to cut my hair out of the vacuum! I also use it on all my hard floors. I’ve even cleaned out our heater compartment with it. Overall I am a very happy customer and love the double brush roll. I have had to “clean it” maybe 4 times per year just for little things that actually get attached. Sometimes hair does get stuck in the corners but has not affected my suction.

This vacuum is great...when it works. I've gone through 2 vacuums in just over a year now. They randomly just stop working. Seems the motors just straight up die and cannot be revived. Literally on my third one in less than 2 years. I will never buy another shark product and just want my money back. Also, the roller that "never clogs"...Definitely clogs, just not as much as others on the market.

I bought this vacuum and thought the self cleaning roller brush would be great for pet hair. It works great in a a house without a lot of pet hair, but as others have reported, the roller clogs with pet hair. It is very annoying. I also find that there is no way to effectively clean stairs and I have two models of Shark vacuums. I use the powered attachment on my steps but it does not pick up well. I actually came to the shark site to see it there was another attachment that may work better. Additionally, it does not remove pet hair well from my sofa cushions. I wish I could find a vacuum that worked well for pets. I had a dyson and hated it especially for the money paid. I was hopeful shark would be my answer. As far as design, I HATE how it is always tipping/falling over...so frustrating.

Picks up everything. Easy to empty - no fussing with caked up hair because of the cyclone action. Only complaint would be tool storage feels like an afterthought.

Overall, so disappointed. Always clogging. I miss rotator

Brought this sweeper about 3 months ago. Very upsetting. My back hurts after every use. When detaching the wand to get along baseboard and where the vacum doesn't get is horrible. The hose is soooo short and the attachment does not pivot to allow you to stand straight when using. My Dyson of over 10 yrs was much more user friendly.

Machine works ok. The bagless canister bottom breaks making it useless. When using the attachments, machine falls over. Top heavy and if it hits you will cause damage. Besides that machine will not travel easy when using attachments. Gets caught on cord
