Customer Reviews for SharkBite 1/2 in. Push-to-Connect Brass Tee Fitting

I'm a homeowner and wanted to DIY this project. I bought this to splice into the existing laundry pex pipes the plumbers put in my wall. I was impressed that it actually worked. I also used the "Sharkbite Safe Seal Depth and Pipe Deburring Tool" because I wanted to make sure the connection will last as long as it can. I'm thankful for this product.

Easy peesee. Just cut the PEX and firmly insert it into the connection. I learned that these SharkBite connectors also work on 1/2 inch copper pipe. Much easier than sweating cooper pipes with solder. No leaks in my use.

It's helpful to use in places that you can't fit tools and hard to reach area's behind walls and cabinets and more.

This is the perfect plumping fitting. No tools needed for installation. Doesn't leak,as long as assembled correctly.

I have found the various SharkBite fittings to be really easy to use. I have now done two projects with them that involved connecting copper to copper, copper to PEX, and PEX to PEX. The SharkBite fittings can handle all of these combinations. They are expensive but they are worth it.

Used with new pipes and hung properly.

Easy to install with PEX tubing to replace the old copper and brass that were developing pinhole leaks.

Very convenient to use Special in a small place under the sink

I like this product it was easy to use and fast to fix my plumbing.

These work well. Make sure you cut square and deburr inside and out. I find if you put a little soap on the pipe it slides on easier. I mark the pipe at the measured depth they state the pipe is inserted into the fitting so I know it is bottomed out.Now you better be strong if you go to take the back off. Maybe I'm just a weakling but there was a lot of pressure needed to remove them. They are reusable and did not leak after reassembly. Good for those that have problems soldering, and faster, and as per instructions if you are going to attach to soldered piping make sure all soldering is done before you install these as there is plastic/rubber inside. Nice if they mad a union SharkBite. I knocked off one star because of my difficulty removing them, like I said might just be me as I'm getting or am old.

E Z to used, can be use on CPVC, Copper or Pex no need to solder copper any more just slip the pipe into the fitting.

Love these! So easy and quick to install. Perfect with PEX and copper. Just don't polish the copper pipe before inserting into the SharkBite connector, i made that mistake once and it created a slight leak due to altering the copper surface with sandpaper. Thinking that bright copper is better but it's not. Just deburr it, mark it and insert. Good luck.

This product was super easy to use. It's also very easy to disconnect and reconnect if need be. I highly recommend this for pipe replacement or new additions.

I have used Sharkbite products for a couple of years now with no problems. Easy to use, no soldering, and so far no leaks. I recommend them for copper and PEX water lines. The only unknown is longevity. I will gladly report back after 10 years or so of use and see how the PEX lines and fittings have held up.

I used this fitting recently as part of a new plumbing assembly in my laundry room. I used PEX piping and had no leaks. Instructions say the tubing should go in an inch, I found they go in about .8" or so. Although a bit pricey, these fittings and PEX made easy work. It took me an hour and a half to complete the job. From the photo, all I had left was securing the drop ear elbows for the clothes washer valves.

I was doing a plumbing project , installing a new UV light and a house water filter housing and saw the benefits of using Sharkbite products.With all Sharkbite products the pipe inside will spin and I will be able to swivel my UV canister away from the wall and remove it if would need replacement .After installing everything I didn't have enough teflon tape on the threads causing a leak and had to remove the UV unit and yes it did swivel away from its hold down brackets so I could reseal the threads .

Worked well easy slip in connection.

IT LEAKED LIKE CRAZY. REMOVED IT AND WENT BACK TO SOLDER JOINTS. WILL NEVER BUY THIS TYPE AGAIN.
