I’m not very experienced at soldering so I love these things. No worry about getting all the water out of the pipe like soldering, and never a leak when you’re done. Cut the pipe, snap it together, done.

I've been using SharkBite for years when it comes to Copper the only way to go quickest easiest as long as you hear it click and you're good to go make sure you have a good smooth clean cut I've never had one leak after installation

Very easy for a newbies..nice product.

this stop did not fit on a 1" PEX tubing nor a "1 copper pipe don't know what it is suppose to fit the opening was 1.25"

I had a strong leak in my 3/4" copper hot water pipe in the crawl space of my house. I was resigned to cutting the pipe to drain the water (it was the lowest point) before I could unsolder the failed copper fittings. The main concern was that I had to cap the undamaged end of the hot water supply line and I always had problems doing a successful soldering job on site. The store attendant recommended that a shark bite end cap requires no soldering, can be removed several times and can be applied even when there is water still coming out. I purchased the shark bite end cap, a removal tool (needed to extract it without damage) and a sizing tool (really, really over-priced) to debur it & mark the pipe insertion depth. The end cap is really well engineered with a nylon (?) sleeve, a ring with prongs to resist being pushed out and a O-ring to prevent water leaks. It is well manufactored and probably justifies its high cost. The removal tools is just a piece of tough plastic that wraps around the pipe which is then pulled against the fitting to force it off. When the end cap was pulled off later to make the final permanent fix, there were small scratches made by the prongs. Other people have complained that it leaked when used. Keep in mind that the pipe needs to be clean, smooth & have no dents, deep scratches or be out-of-round, and be inserted into the recommend depth which turns out to be quite a bit. If your pipe has any of the above mentioned problems, it won't work properly.

I will always stick to any SharkBite product. This end stop worked perfectly on my hose bib.

easy to use

I had a pinhole leak in an unused dead-end pipe. I was thinking I would need to get a plumber to come out and fix it (it was leaking 5 gal an hour) but instead bought this and fixed it in a few minutes. Saved me over $100.
