I used these markers to color indentions on a piece of stained plywood. They worked well and did a better, cleaner job than the permanent sharpie markers did for this particular task. The ink in the sharpie colored marker tends to bleed int the wood, the paint markers didn't because the paint in them is thicker.

Follow the directions and they are awesome
I used these pens to decorate a paint can for a Co worker who was leaving. I was surprised about how quick they dry. You do need to shake quite a bit and tap them BEFORE using. I think the previous reviewers didn't do that because I had no issues with them. Depending what surface you are using them on you should wipe away mistakes quickly as it will dry.
