This looked like a handy little tool, but this is the most aggravation you can find for such a low price. The pad will not stay on. If you apply any slight pressure to get good paint coverage, the pad slips off and then you have a mess. There is a little raised lip that should hold the pad, but it falls short of the job. Its not worth the money to stand in the return line, but i think I must return it just on principle.

  • Good concept, but poor design
  • February 13, 2013

I've used paint pads for many years, and I thought this was just a straightforward trim pad. One fatal flaw, though- they didn't put a little tab to hold the pad in place, so when I was painting trim, the pad repeatedly slid out and hit the dirty floor. After the third time it slid out, I gave up and went back to a brush. A very simple notch or detent to hold the pad in place on the handle would make this a great product. As it is, it's very frustrating.

The pad will not stay in place -- keeps sliding out. Too bad, because it really applies paint smoothly and evenly if only it would stay together.

  • not so great

My experience is like many of the other reviewers, the pad falls off the wand. Home Depot carried a similar product in the past, Padco paint wand, that was better because the pad stayed on the wand.

Thius is a tiny paint pad. While described as 6.75" x 1.75 inches, this is the length of the handle, not the paint pad area. Very misleading when purchasing online.

  • Handy Little Paint Pad

I have bought this small pad for years and used it for trim and touch up work. I use it ON stucco, bricks, paneling, doors, drywall, and metal. And, I use it FOR baseboards, door and window trim, and painting the wall up close to a door frame and fireplace bricks . This small pad was not designed to do the big projects a roller or brush does. If used properly, it will work hard and paint smooth. Don't load up the paint or push hard. Wash the pad between jobs and be creative. I noticed that Sure-line has larger pads, a scuff roller, and a Teflon tray...to mention just a few innovative products. I did not rate it a 5-star because the pad can slide off if you push hard...which is no more annoying than a bristle that comes off a brush. I do recommend this paint pad for touch up and trim projects.

This looks like what I need to apply lotion to my back, IF I cut 1/2 off the end, which its design allows. Add a piece of PVC pile for an extension, and: VOILA ! Only 4 stars because a smaller one is needed for this both for painting and for lotion.

I would give it zero or lower if possible. Was using around trim on exterior door. I think it was OK for the first coat. After applying the second coat I had fibers all over my door. The must have come loose and then I spread them around with my roller. I have used in the past and never had a problem. At this point my project is ruined. Only was to fix is to sand off and start over. receipt 0723 00006 37322
