These Simpson Post bases come in sizes for 4x4 to 6x6 dimensional and rough cut lumber. They make installation clean and easy. A 5/8" concrete anchor holds them in place (adjustable refers to the mounting hole, which is oval and allows a 1" position adjustment). 6 fasteners attach the post. They provide the required post standoff from concrete.
This is a very good system: they provide various models for different load requirements and one made from stainless in highly corrosive environments, they also offer post tops to attach to your structure.
A highly recommended resource is Simpson's web site full of resources and specifications, as well as their printed catalog with information of load limits, fasteners etc

Beware. Home depot's website will recommend the dimensional ties if you order rough cut lumber. Don't trust this recommendation, and make sure you have the right ones. Great other than having to return and get different ones.
