Smooth operating ratchet straps with some nice features
These are very nice, smooth working ratcheting straps. There are a couple of features that I especially like. The shaft that the strap wraps around as you tighten it up has hex heads on both sides of the outside, so on those occasions that you wrap too much strap around the slotted shaft so that it becomes jammed, you can put pliers or a socket set on that and work it loose. I also really like the Velcro strap that is sewn to the end of the nylon strap so that you can roll up your excess and strap it together. Very handy that!

Very nice tie down straps
I had other strap that are only ten feet long and was glad to see these one that are fourteen feet long for larger item I need to tie down in the back of my truck or using in my garage they have doubled up the hooks on both ends. I like the way they package these straps others I have used are difficult just to get out of the packaging. There are twisty ties and a two Philip head screws. So, they are easy to return to the packaging for storage after use. With a safe working load is 1667 pounds and five thousand pounds breaking strength should be strong enough for my uses. I would recommend these tie-downs for all different uses.

Mid weight strap.
This strap setup is heavier than the average that you generally get to tie down stuff like motorcycles, and ATV’s. I like the weight of this strap for the little bigger jobs, but where I don’t need the heavy duty two inch strap ratchet straps. I have used it on several projects now and really like it. The hooks are the heavy duty design and they are side ways compared to the heavy duty straps that I use, but that doesn’t seem to affect how they work.

Heavy Duty Commercial Strap
This ratchet strap is probably the best quality strap I've yet to own. I use ratchet straps quiet frequently for hauling construction materials, heavy equipment or just bulk size items and to be frank, some brands simply do not hold up over time. These do. With a break strength of 5k lbs. and a 1.5" wide strap, these tie down straps will secure just about anything. I like that the handle contours to your grip for ease of tightening the ratchet. The mechanisms function great and is easy to release after each use. So far I am very pleased and will continue to use on my project. With the abrasion resistant coating, I anticipate getting a lot of use out of them.

Over 1,600 lbs of work load, excellent !!
Excellent tie down strap. Ratchetx has provided a great product. Quality strap and hardware to secure any load under the load limit with confidence it will stay in place. The hooks are doubled and "welded" together, so no worries about an open or bent hook. The extra durable stamped steel rails should provide maximum leverage when tightening a load. I appreciate the padded power grip. I really like the reusable storage case for storage. When not in use keep your strap out of the sun and in a dry storage location, they will last and last.

Super Strong
I cannot express how pleased I am with this product. The bright yellow color is clearly visible if transporting something. The metal hook secures to things and is super strong and sturdy. Once the hook is secure and the item is tied down you can wind it forward or back and tighten it using the black handle. Makes you feel very secure about the item its supporting or as one would say tied down. Absolutely love this!

Perfect size for the boat
We got the 14 ft long ratcheting strap and used them to secure things for the boat. We used them to tie down the canopy of the boat and when camping when we load up the boat with ice chest and tents we tied it all down and during the hour and e0 minute drive nothing fell out. We also used the strap to tie down an old refrigerator that we gave to our son.

Great strap strong and easy to use
I got this strap to try out, it's webing is 1 1/2" X 14' it's thicker than most strap I have. The ratch work flawlessly. I just used it on my trip and it held my load the whole way never had to tighten it again. The ratch releases easy when you want to release it. It's a double hook so its strong and you could us it as a eyelet it you need to rung another strap using it to secure it. It would be nice to replace all my old straps with this one its just so easy to use.

SmartStraps for a Secure Load.
I recently received shipment of my two bright yellow SmartStraps. One is a standard 1.5” x 14’ RatchetX Tie Down and the other is the 2” x 27’ 10,000 lb Commercial RatchetX Tie Down w/Double J Hooks. Other than the larger one being commercial rated they both are fully rated for strapping down large equipment, vehicles, household items and a variety of shipping products that require being secured for moving. I recently helped my brother load up and secure some household goods and equipment. I can’t stress enough the importance of utilizing properly rated and reliable moving straps. Losing equipment or a portion of your load from a truck or trailer and possibly causing an accident or even death is a legal as well insurance liability that you really don’t want to experience. SmartStraps meets the full criteria for securing loads the right way. I highly recommend them.

Sturdy, comfortable ratchet mechanism; Industrial strength strap; Very useful Velcro holding strap
I ordered the SmartStraps 14 ft. RachetX Tie Down to replace a similar length Ratchet strap that was very inexpensive and very cheap in quality, The working strength rating was much lower. I was looking for a strap that could handle fairly heavy loads, has a substantial ratchet mechanism that would hold up over time with many uses and wasn’t too heavy or bulky when stored. The SmartStraps strap did not disappoint. The strap material is of professional use quality. The ratchet mechanism is smooth and precise. The ratchet handle and release lever are both comfortable and work with minimum effort. When I unpackaged the SmartStrap I was a little skeptical of the Velcro holding strap that is sewn into the end of the strap that gets threaded into the ratchet mechanism. It just seemed to be an unnecessary bulk to have to thread through the slot. Indeed it takes a bit longer to thread the strap with the Velcro, however it is only seconds lost once I figured the best technique for threading it: I fold the thinner Velcro strap to parallel the “business” strap then thread them together. Before pulling the business strap to my desired length, I tidy up the Velcro strap by wrapping it around the end of the business strap. The added bulk around the business strap also helps prevent the business strap from inadvertently being unthreaded. When I’m finished using the SmartStrap the Velcro helps keep the bundle together during storage. I anticipate years of use from this strap; it is easy to use the sturdy ratchet mechanism with an industrial strength strap and a surprisingly useful Velcro holding strap.

Heavy Duty
I got this to secure loads to my flatbed trailer. Last spring when I was hauling tree limbs I broke a cheap one while ratcheting the load down. This one also has a small strap to help keep it rolled up. I actually am using it to keep it off the ground because I hang my straps on a wall. Length is perfect for my needs where standard tiedowns come up short.

Good Heavy Duty Ratcheting Cargo Strap
I must have around 20 ratcheting cargo straps, that I use all the time with my pichup, trailers, tractor and ATV. Most of mine are 1" width straps, so useful but not adequate for heavier loads. I chose this strap as one I'd feel confident for mor important/heavier cargo, like securing my ATV to a trailer. The construction and quality are good, and it's rated for over 3/4 ton safe working strength. My only real complaint is the packaging; you need to remove 4 wire ties and a screw to extricate the strap from its non-recyclable plastic holder, which is unsuitable for storing the strap between uses Made in Thailand

Good Strap
SmartStraps 14 ft. RachetX Tie Down, Yellow by Wilson Products Packaging Contents: One strap set First Impressions: Always Useful Description: This RatchetX Tie Down is commercial rated at a working load of 1,667 lbs. Break strength is 5,000 lbs. It claims to be packaged in an innovative, reusable EcoCase for easy storage. However, I could not see how to reuse it without saving the twist ties and carefully stowing it exactly as package, which would not be easy. Part of it is a screw that will easily get lost. It turned out that the EcoCase is different than the plastic frame I received. Just be sure to get the EcoCase when you buy this. The ratchet grips are formed from contoured black plastic for ease of use. There is also a velcro strap sewn on to the free end of the strap perpendicularly. The ratchet mechanism is very strong material. Color: Yellow. Usage: This is a strong ratchet strap. It is 1.5 inches wide, and comes with a very good ratcheting mechanism. The grips are conveniently shaped for comfort. I liked that it would ratchet easily, and also lock open for quick loosening. I found the length to be handy for intermediate size loads. I could not figure why the hook ends were at approximately 80 degree angle, but they still worked okay. The velcro strap at the end can help with storage, but is mainly designed to keep the excess strap tied down to the rest of the strap under load. This then keeps the loose end from whipping around in the wind. Overall Thoughts: A good and handy product.

Tie Down
A very nice tie down we got to help out with our move. The strap is very heavy duty. It held up well weather during the move, no issues with the wind or rain. Very heavy duty hooks, and a unique one piece 'S' hook the give it more strength. An added feature of the hook and loop strap came in handy when in storage. We like it and it served it purpose well.

Heavy Hooks and Ratchet
There are some nice features on this Commercial Ratchet Tie Down. The hooks are doubled up on the hook side that gives it a look of extra strength. The ratchet itself is heavy duty and it works smoothly when tightening down and the 14-foot length is just the right length. I’m using this for holding my Vespa on a trailer securely. The package states that the width of the strap is 1.5 inches wide, widest point when measured was 1 3/8 inch thick. As long as it meets its safe workload of 1,667 lbs. and break strength of 5,000 as advertised. The end of the strap the excess strap can be tied down with the built-in Velcro securing strap.

Nice features, great price, but lacking
I've had small, narrow, light-duty straps for many years. This is a nice upgrade without going full-trucker size, but a step well above the 800 and 1000-lb straps. There's a length of Velcro at the end of the strap for securing the excess strap after tightening it down (if it was a couple inches longer, it would fit around the strap when it's wrapped around the ratchet for storage; since it's not, I'll keep using old socks :-) ). Anti-rust coating is much appreciated here in the Pacific Northwest. The larger end handles are much more comfortable to use than small, narrow metal ones, and the release works easily. However, it has some downsides: I could grab only three teeth per crank because it opens barely 90 degrees, so it takes a more cycles to tighten than others. It's a bit stiff to operate, like it's clamped too tight around the axle pin; this also makes it hard to unspool. Mine were catching slightly as they closed, but it was easy to bend the housing out a tiny bit so it passed without scraping. The hooks are not coated, but that tends to tear off after a few years of use anyway. I wish it had some plastic bumpers on the bottom, but not a deal-breaker. Forget about reusing the "eco-case" package (with no recycle symbol on the plastic) for storage; you'd have to remove the strap from the ratchet and roll it very precisely for it all to fit back in.

Top Notch Straps
I was in need of heavy duty straps as I was moving some furniture and appliances on my flat bed trailer. The one inch straps didn't give the support or offer the strength that I was looking for. I picked up these Smart Straps and was extremely impressed. The double hooks, the thick bright yellow color, the heavy duty stitching and the easy to use but strong and well built ratcheting handle are all way beyond the quality and strength of the simple one inch straps that I have purchased. before. I can't recommend these straps enough.

excellent quality, strong enough for the tough jobs
These are excellent ratchet straps, designed for heavier loads such as securing appliances when moving, securing an ATV, motorcycle, etc for transportation.  The webbing is well sewn and the double hooks are perfect for those tough jobs.  At fourteen feet they're long enough for most jobs but can always be hooked to another strap for added length.  The ratchet mechanism is traditional and works smoothly.  They come with a piece of velcro sewn to the end of the strap which can be used to secure extra, loose strap.  I actually removed the velcro as I find it interferes when the strap is run through the pulley mechanism.  Also, the way I pack my straps for storage I need to run the free end of the strap through the pulley twice and the velcro made it almost impossible.  I use all kinds of ratchet straps of different weights and lengths.  These will be reserved for the truly tough jobs.

Not just for trucks..
While yes, you normally see these used on trucks at home improvement stores.. However. Even notice your car or crossover may have tie down hooks in the back? There is a reason, moving anything large and bulky in an enclosed vehicle is not good if you stop fast. Strap It Down! Even if it's just a pile of suitcases, they can and will shift. Drive safe if you haul anything big, bulky, or heavy. Keep it in place, don't rely on a passenger to hold the cargo down. And in an emergency use this to strap it to the roof, don't rely on duct tape and bungee cords as I have in the past. This is safer and easier. Do it the smart way! Great to have on hand just in case too.

A must for atv suv owners
These are absolutely awesome for trailering your atvs and suvs. At a rating of 5000 lbs and a length of 14 feet you're definitely covered all the way around. The j hooks are the perfect size to fit the racks on most off road vehicles. Both metal and composite. We also found that in a pinch they work as a winch for short pull mud winch outs. Not recommended doing that a lot for sure.
