I expected better suction. However, it is marketed as an ash vacuum and will suck up ash just fine, just not much of anything heavier. I give it middle of the road, as it's not a bad vacuum, but not great either.

Great ash vac for my pellet stove. It would be nice with some smaller accessories to get into the nooks and crannies but I made one that works well. No ash gets into the air when the vac is running. Highly recommend!

Nice ash vac.
The vacuum works great for ash. The vacuum pull is lighter than say a shop vac. to keep it from pulling fly ash through both cleanable filters. Could use a tapered tube to get into tighter areas and increase the velocity at the tip. All in all it works great.

Good little product...so far
I really have only used the SnowJoe twice since purchase.
My only concern will be the exhaust port to see if it emits "dust" particles. I will have to admit that the suction is really good!

Perfect for removing ash from pellet grill
It's exactly what I need for sucking up ash cleanly in my Grilla Silverbac pellet smoker. It has great power and works well for the few times I've used it so far. Snowjoe had a great reputation or I wouldn't have bought it. I'll definitely recommend it to others.
