I have not had a chance to use it. We haven’t had enough snow for me to need it yet, which is actually fine with me. If I get a chance to use them (I bought two) then I can come back and make a new review. They look like they will be much better than what I had.

Product was inferior. Release pins not machined properly to enable assembly. Spent 30 minutes filing to make work. Product not indicative of typical quality found at Home Depot. Excellent response by Home Depot customer service! I rate customer service at five stars!!!!

I was skeptical about how well this shovel would work, but a few days ago we had about 14 inches of snow in a 24-hour period and the shovel worked as it should have. I was kind of surprised. I don't have a snow blower; I'm good at shoveling snow as I worked construction (pouring concrete, which is very heavy, of course) and this shovel was useful. I'm curious to see if it holds up for a few years. I should also say that it was easy to put the parts together.

Have only used once, but it worked great!!

Way easier to use. My wife especially loves it; the spring handle makes it so much easier to throw a load of snow.

I just finish clearing out my driveway using this amazing shovel. It took me about half an hour where my typical snow shovel would have taken me over an hour. My back and arms felt great after using the Snow Joe shovel due to it’s unique design. Highly recommended!

It was okay. Easy to lift loose snow but even the slightest snow stuck won’t move iy

Shovel is good, it wont let you to bend too much to shovel snow and thus helps with back.

Had a moderately pleasant 13 degree, 40+ MPH, 12 inch "snow shower" last night. I used this shovel for the first time this morning and it GREAT!!!

Works great for wet snow

This shovel made it significantly easier to clean my driveway.

Too narrow. A wider shovel would remove more snow more quickly. Dollars spent not worth the value received.

Don’t bother. The plastic gets brittle in the cold and doesn’t hold up even a little.

If the shovel full of snow has a lot of weight to it, I easily can swing it back before swinging it forward to fling the snow. That makes it easier on my arms and shoulders.

Shovel too light, hard to dig in

Absolutely love the Snow Joe shovel. I have the 18" shovel and it works very well for my needs. I am 5'8" tall and the two handles are positioned very well for me to use. No strain at all and I was able to shovel 4" of new snow from my three car driveway and the sidewalk in front of my house in the same time that my neighbor was able to shovel just their front sidewalk. So, it easy to use and faster than using other snow shovels. I think I was able to maintain a faster rate due to the reduced stress on my body. Not bad, since I am 71 years old and my neighbor is still in their 40's. I do have a suggestion for improvement of the aluminum blade on the shovel. The blade is just pressed onto the plastic shovel without any adhesive holding the aluminum blade in place. I noticed that this was likely a weak spot in the shovel design. So, I carefully removed the aluminum blade, squeezed a bead of silicone sealant into the entire slot in the aluminum blade, and then reinstalled the blade onto the plastic part of the shovel. If you do this step, remember to let the shovel set for about 24 hours before you use it to let the silicone cure.

Delivery and utilization is as expected thus far

I like having the 2 handles. Good ergonomics overall, but as a guy a bit taller (6'1") than average I found myself bending over a bit too far, so I would like the handles to be a bit longer. Ideally the handles would be both be adjustable to accommodate a range of different heights. If so, I'd be willing to pay more and would likely adjust my rating from 4 to 5 stars. The price is right especially after the discount at the time I bought it. I do strongly recommend this snow shovel, and look forward to an adjustable length handles version.

Purchased for someone who has a back that "goes out" occasionally. Tried it once on a light snow and seemed happy with it. Hope the same is true when the snow is heavy.
