Towards the end of last year I moved into my new apartment. I decided, for my birthday/the new year, to get myself a brand new bed. When I first order this, I had to email them several times because parts were missing. When the parts were coming in, they were all beaten up. At that point, I let it go because I just wanted it all put together. It took about a month ‘til I actually had a bed. I specifically bought this bed so I could have extra draw space in my room, but several months later the bottom of the draws started coming out, even when there’s little to no clothes in them. I had to slide a little card in between so the draw doesn’t hang down, but now I don’t even use them anymore. It’s been less than a year since I’ve had this bed and the boards under the mattress shift, the end piece is coming undone and the only thing holding up is the headboard, which is technically a whole separate purchase.

The entire order arrived broken. I was very unsatisfied with the product. My order was canceled and returned. I don’t think I will purchase anymore furniture from Home Depot.

Shipping did not turn out well ... damaged and heavy but once we got past that it was pretty easy to put together, sturdy and looks nice

The bed is great... I was able to put it together alone... However no matter how well South Shore packaged it pieces still came with bumps... One piece very bad but with the warranty they are sending me a new piece on them...

I bought this a month ago and like the final product. I have purchased other South Shore products before and have been pleased with them. Good value for the cost. However the instructions on this particular model were very, very poor. Not all the pieces were labeled so a bit of guessing is required. You have to have some knowledge on how this goes together and refer to the picture a lot to figure it out. Be sure to allow a good 4 to 5 hours to assemble.

Don't expect it to come in perfect condition. Some pieces were chipped and they needed to resend parts.

The bed is completely unstable and already broke. It has been barely used and the whole thing has fallen apart. I would not recommend this bed to anyone. The drawers don't close all the way- it is just a waste of money to purchase this piece of so called furniture.

Very happy with the quality of this product. Fairly easy to assemble, pieces fit together with no issues, and drawers and all were aligned. I purchased a second bed from HD, but at a higher price point. The quality of this far surpasses that bed. Considering buying this again for a spare room.

This bed came with four drawers. None of them could close properly. The bottom of the drawers were constantly falling on each other hence dropping the clothes on the floor : the entire product is far from solid. The bed shakes constantly giving the permanent feeling of about to collapse. Furthermore, there are 8 clips that hold pieces of wood on which repose the mattress. These clips broke one after the other whereby nothing now holds the mattress! I may have just fallen on a bad number but this bed did not meet the minimum standard!

The quality is very good considering the price. It's not high quality sturdy wood, but it isn't advertised to be that either.

My daughter and I,total novices when it comes to construction of any kind, assembled this bed and drawers in two evenings. We read the instructions fully first, counted and put each type of parts in separate labelled containers and then got to work. Instructions were excellent for the most part. Given that we had just replaced the flooring in her room, we felt that the 6 small felt pieces for the corners on the 3 weight bearing pieces were not enough, so we simply went to Home Depot and purchased additional (packages of) 1/2" strips of felt and affixed these to the entire bottom of those 3 items. This turned out to be an excellent idea as the rather heavy bed moves easily without marring the floor. Also, we covered the wood floor with a large drop cloth while assembling so that we didn't scratch the floor and then carefully removed it before putting the drawers in the bed. Originally one drawer didn't lie even when installed, so we removed it, moved it to a different slot, and voila, perfection! Bed looks great and we were proud of having assembled it ourselves with no issues. My daughter is delighted with the bed.

Absolutely love this book. I bought it for my 2 year old son. It took my husband 2 hours to assemble it. We chose this bed over others due to the storage components. Unlike other beds, this isn't high...my son can easily get on and off it. I would definately recommend this bed to a friend.
