Good quality wire with a thick jacket and the quality of the copper strand also appears good. Jacket is just flexible enough and pliable to maneuver and pierce for the fixtures. 14 guage is plenty thick enough for a fully LED system with runs up to 150'. If you're using halogen though u might need thicker wire otherwise you'll get voltage drop. I have made runs of 150' with this wire with no drop and with about 60 watts from 5 led fixtures loaded on it a measures drop from 12 volt to 10. Which is totally acceptable.

I purchased a 100 foot roll of wire and after running it ran short ! With a tape measure there was only 60 feet total in the roll ! I can see maybe 10 foot discrepancies but 40 feet ????

I have been using this low voltage landscape wire for over 5 years now and Home Depot has the best price. The best value for money is to buy the 500 ft roll. Wire is very strong and has no issues being buried outdoors or run above ground and exposed to the elements which is what its made for. 5 stars!

Easy to use for installation of my path lights. Consistant dimensions which meant all wire piercing connectors worked first time every time.

The insulation on the Southwire jacket is fairly soft and easy to strip. I like working with this wire over the competitors. The job goes much quicker.

The wire worked easily with the lawn lights. Would have rated it a five if it were a little less expensive.
