Fit perfectly for my microwave outside vent. I needed to cut the depth of the vent down to fit, but I don't mind needing to cut because it enabled a custom fit for my wall thickness. It has a perfect spring tension that closes during zero airflow.

This was the perfect fit for the new microwave we installed. It works as expected. We had to cut the unit to length, but a chop saw did the trick with ease. Good construction

The spring damper is a little noisy at times but...
The spring damper is a little noisy at times but not too bothersome. It came in very handy for an unusual dryer vent application.

As Advertised
This duct cap was as advertised. It was made out of very ridged ducting and the flap closed and opened well. Seemed to be made very well. The ducting is ridged enough that one will have a hard time trimming it with snips if necessary, but I'd rather it be that way than thin cheap ducting.

Did the job!
This vent is sturdy and well made. I needed to shorten it for 2 X 4 walls and because it is a heavy guage metal I was able to cut it with a jig saw loaded with a fine metal cutting blade. The vent is very well made and should last for years and years. The spring on the damper is strong enough to hold the damper closed when not in use, but opens completly when the fan is started.

I wish it was stocked in my store
This is a simple product that works as designed. I hoped to buy it in one of my local HD stores but they don't stock it, so I bought it online and had it shipped to my local store. It seems to me that it could have happened faster, though.
