Replaced the same model of arc-fault breaker used for past 5 years on the 20-amp circuit for our new (at the time) refrigerator. Hoping the problem was the breaker and not the fridge, I bought this replacement breaker. The problem seems to be the fridge. Opening the french-style doors will trip the breaker 90% of the time. Service technician is coming in two days to trouble-shoot our $4K Bertazzoni fridge. The breaker was easy to replace and seems to do its job (yes, I tested the circuit with the fridge unplugged).

It wasn't the fuse itself I has another problem new house my sister just got its the wiring not the fuse they wired it wrong it wasn't grounded so I had to return it it's nothing wrong with the fuse the man I mean the breaker

We upgraded most of our 1987 house's breakers to Square D AFCI or GFCI/AFCI breakers. This allowed us to locate any circuit with any debatable connections, e.g., loose wire nuts, bad wall switches, etc., anything that caused arcing. And, of course, this was an excellent safety feature going forward. In general, I find these breakers are more sensitive than a standard wall GFCI, which is good. We do not have any issues with nuisance tripping...any issues were directly traced back to actual wiring issues...once resolved, the circuits are stable. The plug-on neutral breakers, which require a modern Square D electrical panel, are easier to install than the pigtail version, but both produce the same excellent results.

Its a little too sensitive. These breakers don't seem to last very long. This is the second breaker I have replaced in my 5 year old home.

Fits like a glove. Its pigtail is too short for large and crowded panels but still manageable.
