I ordered this product online, believing they would send me a new product. When it came in the mail, I took it out of the box and noticed the yellow "mark down" sticker on the product, that had been partially ripped off, indicating something was wrong with the product. Sure enough, there was a huge crack down the side toward the bottom. Home Depot is known for shipping the worst out of their pile, so they can get rid of it, hoping no one will notice. The same thing applies to any online orders for store pickup. Pretty ridiculous...now I have to go to the store and return the cracked one.

Good quality. Purchased in store for bottom of stairs, and this met expectations. Took stain well and looks high quality. A touch pricey if not on sale, but not easy to find good quality posts like this for cheaper.

Ordered 4. 3 came in looking excellent. The last contained voids in the laminates, very large sections of pores torn out due to the turning (likely lack of sharp tools) and a chunk missing at the top. Clearly quality control could be better so order extra and return the ones that are crap. I did not do this so I had to just deal with it. Luckily we have a lathe and could sand out many issues and we are straining and waxing black so I could ignore most of the issues
