We love the workmanship! They were sanded and ready to stain. Our contractor commented on the excellent quality of wood. We love them!

very happy with this product. I was able to reuse the existing materials on the stairs once removing carpet. I had to replace the aged treads that were split and warped. replaced 1.75" wood with these treads and 3/4" plywood underneath for support. Took stain well and look fantastic.

The treads had only one good face on some of the boards

These are beautiful pieces of wood and made my stair renovation SO much easier. We work from home and our staircase is in constant use. These stair caps allowed me to stain them and poly them before cutting them to size and glue them down.

Beautiful wood grain takes well to staining.

Pure quality - I had to return more than 50% due to defects - components disconnected, dents, etc... I assume that the quality inspection is lacking. Also, all boards have slightly different colors, not uniform. Had to order twice to get the correct size. Overall,

They stained up well and looked very good once installed. So far, they have remained flat (no cupping or warping).

They are ok but there is a lot of variance and inconsistency. You can sand and stain to make it work though.

Have used this product before. Takes a great stain, wears well and looks great.

These were just perfect. Great solution to make over the carpeted stairs that were getting dated.

This stair tread cap, Awesome. If I had a need for this product again, I would certainly purchase it. Like the way it looks like the way it finishes like everything about it.

The stairs are absolutely beautiful - my contractor stained them to match my wood floor- they are the first thing you see when you come in my front door- just gorgeous!

Very happy with results.

After a few minor adjustments for fit and my custom stain and finish these treads were amazingly easy to install.

Great retrofit product,

This is a good option for stairs, but be prepared to put in a little work. I was expecting a little sanding before staining, but out of the 14 that I bought, 10 had to be reworked. 2 had some large deep gouges I was able to fill, the other 8 had large splits in the front trim. They were clean enough to glue and clamp, which seemed like a better option than returning and waiting for more to ship (with potentially the same issue).

Beautiful product! Easy to install. The finished edge looks wonderful!
