[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape measure is compact and lightweight. It does not have all the features of a heavier duty tape measure but this is great if you need to carry it around with you. For smaller projects, this is great.

I gave this to my wife to keep in the house because she can never find one of my tape measures when she needs ones. This 12ft powerlock tape measure is small enough to fit in a drawer and handy for her to use to measure for curtains or furniture. It was also accurate for when she went to go buy what she wanted. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This measure is a solid piece with a pocket fit size. Not as bulky as others. The print on the tape is clear and sharp. I'm very happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great small tape measure. Has 100ths of an inch and 32nds of an inch in first six inches, then goes to 10ths and 16ths. Well sized to fit in a tool belt or to fit in your pocket. Because it's the engineering model, it has the 10ths of an inch, so can be used to measure on a drawing or set of prints with that scale. Great little tape measure. One other nice feature is the size of the tape measure body is stamped on it so you can easily do an inside measurement. My only compliant is I wish the 100ths and 32nds scale went for more than just the first six inches.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had one of these banging around in my pickup forever. It is my backup tape. I use it those few times I need a tape but didn't bring one. Great to throw in the pocket and take into the store when you need to measure something, or when you are doing something and need a tape it is quick to go get from truck and doesn't tack up space. The metal case means it will be around forever. My father in law (plumbing contractor), used to carry one of these 12 footers on his belt wherever he went, even to church on Sunday, with it's small size you don't even know it is there and have a tape at hand at all times.

I found it easy to read and great little tape for around the house jobs and woodworking, and when buying materials for woodworking projects.Has engineer scale on bottom of tape if you need 10ths of an inch, and the hook is dead on for inside and outside measurements.

I’ve found most projects don’t require the bigger 20’-30’ tapes you see at most stores. This 12’ tape is great for quick measurements when working on panels and boxes. The engineer scale is a plus because a you don’t get distracted with the construction markings you see on a lot of the bigger job-site tapes. Has a good weight and feel to it, perfect to throw in your shop apron or pocket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the 12 foot rule for better part of 20 years. This handy ruler is indispensable. Easily fits in your hand, easy to grip. The size is just right for all woodworking and rough measuring of both indoor and outdoor projects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this when I worked at a factory in Mt. Sterling Ky. The model number 33-272 is still the same but the new model is a glossy silver finish where mine is yellow. It has a few scars but still works great! I keep for small jobs around the house now.

difficult to read. Would be better in a 3/4 inch wide tape.

I purchased this because of the diecast metal case, in that this symbolic measuring tool has a more considered task than is in the past; that being deeper consideration of the application of numerical values with greater care taken. It really feels good in the hand.

Familiar with this style from previous employer

This tape is lightweight and easy to handle. I have a 25' tape that I used for years. Now that I'm retired my woodworking projects are on a much smaller (tabletop) size. while working smallerscale, the decimals are a lot easier to use than fractions. I'd buy one again, but I don't think I'll ever have to.

Bought this tape measure for a project with the specs in hundreds of an inch. Was surprised/disappointed to get the tape measure and find out that only the first six inches are marked in hundredths. The rest is in tenths of an inch. Definitely wouldn’t have purchased if I knew.

I appreciate the accuracy of Stanley tape measures. My wife and I we’re hanging a mirror, and she was using the tape measure while I held the mirror for way longer than necessary. She said, “it’s three little black lines past where it says 24 inch number.” And you know what? It was actually three little black lines past the the 24 inch number. We successfully hung the mirror on a nail that didn’t hit a stud. I suggested that we use a proper mirror hanging device, but she said that she’s used a nail before and it worked just fine, so I did not protest. I just wanted to get back to watching football in peace. So far, the mirror remains suspended on the random nail we found in a drawer. In other news, I have successfully commanded my forces from my Stanley walkie talkie for many years. The antenna can always be counted on to deploy and retract quickly, and works from any radio frequency designated by a little black line.

OK for a small tape measure. Graduations are large (.10" beyond a foot or so) and not too helpful for longer measurements. Not worth it for me.

Metal casing, easy to read

This version is great...for those of us that have difficulty adding/subtracting conventional units. It is divided into 10ths of an inch.

I used this tape measure in so many projects, my lasted was redoing my dining room. It's just so dependable, never slips, love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little tape measure to have around the house when working on quick projects. Functions just like a larger power lock tape measure. This tape measure really comes in handy when you are getting in tight spaces or working on smaller projects

Easer to use for some projects.

Within a few days of use the tip came loose. doesnt feel the same as the older ones did. will swap to the slightly bigger version.
