I bought this for my husband last year. It was wonderful and bright at first but now it turns on to dim and when you press the button, the dim is dimmer. I really was hoping it would last longer than this. I charged it until the light was green but no change. There is no way to change the light so now what? Im out all that money. How do you fix this?

The Stanley 2200 lumens LED Lithium-Ion spotlight is a very powerful spotlight. It includes a red lense to use as an emergency beacon, an attached adjustable stand to position the light for hands free operation, a trigger switch with high and low light settings and a built in charger port to charge usb devices. The spotlight itself is charged by the included usb power supply, cable and car adapter. And, a single charge has so far lasted for approximately 6 hours of use without any signs of weakening (mfg states 10 hours of operation on a single charge). The spotlight appears to be rugged with rubber protectors around the lense and corners and additional strengthening along the sides. For a lightweight and powerful light, this is a great choice.

This spotlight easily lit up the side of a mountain hill at over 50 yards, very impressive, the photos do not do justice to how well this light lit up the hillside. The included red filter produced light that illuminated things well and should not interfere with night vision. A nice additional feature is that the battery can also be used to charge other devices, which to me means my cell phone can have extra life without needing to be charged into the USB outlet at home or in the SUV. I recently used this light during a heavy wind to look down onto a lower roof section to make sure that the wind was not causing problems. This light did a great job of lighting up that roof to confirm that it was in good shape. The bright focused beam gave a better view than the built-in flood lights because the focused light was brighter.

The Stanley Model SL10LEDS flashlight (Made in China) is a high-powered beast, exactly what I was hoping for. It's blindingly bright, with an intense central spot surrounded by an evenly illuminated dimmer ring of light. The central spot is roughly 6 deg wide and the dimmer area is roughly 65 deg wide. I couldn't measure exactly but the central spot illuminated trees and buildings at least 200 yards away. The unit comes with an auxiliary red cover lens. There is a lanyard hole in the base of the handle, and the front of the unit is rubberized to protect the lens and any surface you set the flashlight on. The light cycles through BRIGHT-DIM-OFF with each press on the trigger switch – but always starts with BRIGHT. A hinged “foot” on the top allows the unit to be placed upside down at various angles for hands-free illumination. The kit includes a short (18”) USB-A to USB-A charging cable and a Cigarette lighter type plug adapter for charging. The cable has a label indicating it's a charging ONLY cable, not to be confused with a typical USB cable that also transfers data. That's a small but helpful detail considering how many different type cables are in our drawers these days. The USB-A port on the rear of the light both charges the flashlight or provides charging power to another device, controlled by the pushbutton beneath the port. A multi-colored LED inside the port lights various colors depending on the state of charge or state of charging, covered in detail in the thorough instruction sheet. The 12V charging adapter (cigarette lighter plug) includes an LED operating light as well, plus an easily accessible but tiny 2.0 amp fuse to prevent too much current coming from the automobiles lighter port. Overall I haven't found anything to dislike about the flashlight, and the price is pretty good for a rechargeable, high intensity light like this.

This is a bright light and so easy to use. It comes with a red lens and a charger cable. The light has a kick out that allows you to set it up so you can see when you are working in the dark. The light is just the right size to handle with one hand so you can do something with the other hand. It charges rather quickly and stays charged a long time. The red lens is great for predator hunting. I like that it has distance because its powerful. This is a great light to keep in your car and you can keep it charged all the time with the adapter.

I have about every type of flashlight imaginable but didn't have a good powerful spot light. This is useful for late-night boat rides and hikes as well as for emergencies in the car. I like that this light has a 10 hour runtime and is rechargeable so I picked it up. The light is definitely very bright and works as a good spotlight from our pontoon rides and while camping. The prop for the light is ok, but typically I will be holding this so it is not that useful. I do really like the red cover it comes with as it is good to signal people if you are in distress and it is actually good to use at night to help you not lose your night vision. Red light is also better for wildlife so is great for crab hunting on the beach. The charge time for my first use was not very long and I haven't had to recharge it yet so I am happy with the battery for a such a powerful light.

Nice spotlight, not overly heavy with a decently bright beam but not so sure of the 2200 lumens. The Stanley Fatmax 2200 Lumens handheld spotlight is an LED light powered by a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery and consumes 10 watts of power to operate. OEM states avg. run time to be 10 hrs. on the packaging but then states only 1 hr. on high and 7 hrs. on low in the website product description, someone is confused. I do know that the original recharge time fresh out of the box was just under 3 hrs. and the charging is through a USB port at the rear of the light with a supplied 1-foot cord. The light does come with both a car adapter and a wall plug-in. The operation is simple, pull the trigger and the light is on high, pull it again and it’s on low and the third time it's off. If you let the unit operate for longer than 5 seconds the next trigger pull will always be off. The light can also charge other devices through the USP port and directional/charging indicator button located next to the port. The light itself is bright yellow plastic with black rubberized bumpers on the front lens and rear corners. There is a nice flip-up stand that really comes in handy for hands-free use, I really liked that feature. The light itself is a spot, not a flood so a little tighter of a beam and the light comes with a red lens for emergency use but a better one is to not blind everyone else and still see where you’re going. I compared the brightness and distance of this 2200 lumen spotlight with the Stanley 700 lumen light and in my opinion, they were about the same brightness. No significant difference could be noticed. The flip-out stand has two plastic snaps in buttons to cover the screws holding eh leg and allowing it to pivot. Unfortunately, one simply will not stay in and is now lost. Web description states AC & DC charging cord what they really meant to say is AC & DC charging adaptors and one, 1-foot charging cord. I like this spotlight, it’s a light/medium duty spotlight that is not too heavy and provides a good amount of light no matter how many lumens it really puts out. The red lens is great for not blinding people or seeing what animals are running around your back yard and the flip-out stand is just perfect. What I don’t care for is the short 1 hr. run time on high but the low beam is really not that much less bright than I can tell. OEM states that the light will hold a charge for up to 1 year, made in China, recommended. OEM just needs to get the product web description and packaging descriptions to match, one of them is incorrect.

This Stanley 2200 Lumen hand held spot light is just fun to use! I love the pistol grip, it makes holding and shining the light very easy. This light also comes with a top mounted flip stand so you could set the light on the ground without holding it (see photo). I was really surprised the first time I tried it out in my backyard at night. It lit up my fence and the trees 80 feet away like it was daylight. The light beam made a nice circle in the yard, with it being especially lit and focused in a stream down the middle. Since the beam is so focused on a narrow stream I was able to light up treetops 4 to 5 houses down from me which was impressive. The first time I charged the unit it took approximately 4 hours to reach full charge. The charging light goes from blinking red, to blinking green, and then full green when it’s fully charged. Once fully charged I decided to use the spotlight to recharge my iPhone X, as there is a USB out on the spotlight. The Stanley spotlight was able to take my iPhone from 20% power up to 80% power in a period of 2 hours. However it completely drained the spotlights battery. When I charged up the spotlight for a second time, it took 6.5 hours to reach full charge. So this is already 2.5 hours longer than the first time I charged it. I read some other reviews that the battery seems to be a weak point on this spotlight, you can only charge it so many times and then it fails. My spotlight is still working fine after two full charges, so I guess time will tell how long it lasts. Overall I recommend the spotlight on my initial first impressions because it’s just fun to use, and it’s very well-built with its hard plastic housing and rubber guards around it.

This is another great product from STANLEY. My wife and I now find ourselves reaching for the STANLEY FATMAX portable spotlight whenever we quickly need a flashlight. The pistol grip makes the unit easy to hold. The unit's bright yellow color allows it to stand out among other objects when you are reaching for it. The unit's 10-watt LED produces a significant amount of light in both the low and high operating modes. The actual light output in LUMENS is listed as 2,200 per a sticker on the packaging. However, this value is not shown in the Instruction Manual under "Specifications". The unit comes with a home and car charger, a red emergency lens, a pivoting/ collapsible stand, plus a USB cable. The Instruction Manual is well-written and illustrated and it is recommended you retain this manual for future reference. Regardless of usage it is recommended the unit be recharged every three to six months. With proper care I believe this spotlight will provide many years of service. See attached photographs.

This Stanley Fat Max Hand Held Rechargeable Spotlight Is great for anywhere you need a bright light. I keep it in my home for emergency use but also carry it in my car's trunk when traveling. It produces a bright, tightly focused beam of light with a dim circle of light around the beam. The casing is heavy duty plastic with a collapsible stand to hold the light in place when you can not hold it. I like the easy to hold pistol grip and on/off trigger. It is rechargeable via a USB port, and a home charger, car charger and cord are included. You can also use this USB port to power other electronic devices.

I have a number of hand held flashlights and a couple headlights but I still needed a spotlight for checking critters getting into our and near our dog pen. The Stanley rechargeable Fat Max spotlight is the perfect spotlight for our needs. It is compact enough at 8 inches long not to be bulky but better light than a hand flashlight or headlight. The Stanley is versatile that it has two lighting levels; the 2200 lumen and 920 lumen levels. The switch is easy to operate - works with a momentary trigger squeeze to turn on. Continue a brief squeeze to change light level or turn off. I like the kickstand so that the spotlight can be propped up for hands free use. I also like that Stanley built-in the feature to be able to use the battery in the spotlight for USB power. The Stanley comes with two recharge options; A/C wall adapter and a D/C vehicles accessory adapter. They also included an red emergency lens. The battery life is very decent. We have about 4 hours of total use on high beam and have not needed to recharge the battery yet,

The Stanley Rechargeable 2200 Lumens LED Lithium-Ion Hand-Held Portable Spotlight looks cool, but is an average performer for its size. Honestly, I was expecting more from a hand-held spotlight than what this flashlight provides. And it’s not just me; I had left this spotlight on the kitchen counter and my roommate grabbed it to take the dog out. When she returned I asked her what she thought and she replied, “I don’t like it, it doesn’t light up the area very well.” Granted, it is a spotlight and not a floodlight, but the lighting area is very average at best for a 2,200 lumen spotlight. In one of the pictures I did a comparison with a high end 3,000 lumen flashlight and the Stanley hand-held spot light so you can see what I mean. The Stanley beam of light is on the right in the photo. As for ergonomics, I wear a size medium glove and the handle seemed just a bit small for my hand. The press trigger between off, high, low, and off is very functional. An added feature of this hand-held spot light is that the USB charging port can also function as a charging battery. On the top of the spotlight is what I thought at first was a light sight for aiming, but it is actually a stand, it’s cool that it’s there but I’m uncertain as to its true usefulness. The spotlight also comes with a red lens cover for “emergency” applications, but a more useful use of this lens cover would be to provide campground lighting without blinding other people.

The STANLEY FATMAX SL10LEDS is a 10W Lithium-Ion LED handheld spotlight. The spotlight uses a USB cable with adapters for both the cars cigarette lighter or wall plug for both AC and DC charging. The light lasts long and can be used indoor/outdoor. I keep mine in my truck for easy access when camping or for a roadside emergency. This has also come in handy as once charged you can use the battery to recharge your phone or tablet utilizing the USB charging connection on the back of the light. The ultra-bright LED provides up to 920 lumens and features CLO (continuous light output). The 10W LED provides a runtime of up to one hour on high and seven hours on low. Another great feature is that the Lithium-ion technology which allows for up to 12 months without recharging. The Spotlight is made of a hard plastic and has a stand so that you don’t need to hold it while working on things. This model also comes with a removable Red lens which can be used for emergencies. The only small thing which I found was the side cap which covers the screw kept falling out. Besides that this is a great tool to have handy.

I chose the Stanley Rechargeable 2200 Lumens LED Lithium-Ion Hand-Held Portable Spotlight for an long due upgrade from the old 6 volt lantern. I like the fact that the light is rechargeable and has a run time of 10 hours. I also like that the beam of light is very strong in high and can shine over 500 ft., but can shine at about 50% strength with just a click of the trigger. I also has a easy to change red safety lens for use in the car. Another great feature you charge your phone if you in a pinch. It is light in weight, but anything but and should last for years.

This Stanley Rechargeable LED Lithium-Ion Hand-Held Portable Spotlight is bright. The light has a 10 Watt LED, a collapsible stand for hands-free use, and an impact resistant housing with rubber bezel for protection from rough handling. It comes with a removable red plastic lense cover, a 12-V DC USB charge adapter, a 120-V AC USB charge adapter, and a USB charging cord. There is a small LED charge indicator next to the in-out charging port on the rear. There is also a push-button switch there to allow for charging other personal electronics items like phones, etc. The light has both low and high outputs with the trigger. Battery life is approx. 1 hr. on high, and up to 7 hrs. on low. A nice feature is what Stanley calls CLO (continuous light output), so it stays brighter longer. This is not a complaint, but I’m not sure whether it’s 2200 Lumens or 920 Lumens. The description uses both numbers. No matter, this thing is very bright. I also like the ability to charge other items if needed. The only problem I see for me is that I cannot store it in the garage or vehicle due to the higher desert temps during most of the year, creating a possible hazard with the Lithium-Ion battery. Even our house in the summer is above the recommended 68 degree storage temp for this light. Like many rechargeable lights, etc. it’s hard to keep all the items (light, lense, adapters, cord, etc.) together.

We live in a rural area and a bright handheld spotlight is both a luxury and a necessity. The Stanley Rechargeable 2200 Lumens LED Lithium-Ion Hand-Held Portable Spotlight is the perfect answer to this need. It has both a high-beam and a low-bean with an easy to reach switch. Its focused beamed reaches out to more than enough distance to illuminate the trees 100 yards from our front door. It comes complete with a red lense, two charging adaptors for home or auto and charging cable. It is robust yet lite-weight for ease of use. We would recommend this light for your consideration.

The Stanley Rechargeable 2200 Lumens LED Lithium-Ion hand-held spotlight is a versatile, useful tool. After being charged, it can use the same USB charging port to charge other USB devices such as phones or tablets. The grip is comfortable to hold, and the trigger, which controls three light levels and the lock, is easy to use. The distance that the light shines when on high beam is at least 200 ft. It has an easily-removed red lens cover which allows the spotlight to emit red light for emergencies or night vision. It has a locking pivoting stand to allow the light to be used hands-free to illuminate an area. It has a hole in the handle which allows it to be hung up for easy storage and access. One down side is that it only has sufficient power to use it on high beam for one hour. On low light, which is not likely to be used much, the charge will last up to seven hours. Another negative is that the battery cannot be replaced. It is made in China.

This is one handy tool to have. I used to have one of those large lantern spot light with the huge square battery I my car. I felt like evrytime I needed it, the battery was dead. To get a new battery it almost the cost of the flashlight itself and wasn't near bright enough. This Stanley is awesome. It's incredibly bright and convenient. There are two brightness settings and a stand to hold it place. The best feature, which I wasn't aware of when I purchased is that it has reverse charging technology. #1 the light charges via USB so you can charge it in your car, PLUS you can hook up the necessary cord to the back of the light and charge any electronic device like your phone or tablet . Definitely a good item to have in your emergency kit!

I have owned this Stanley Fatmax for 4 years plus now and not one problem with it yet. Use it at home and camping also. I bought it for my truck which it never stays in there I need to buy a few more.

Works exactly the way it was intended, no fancy settings are different light settings. Turn it on you have light, turn it off and it’s dark, no strobe no nothing fancy. Oh and yes the light does project a beam a good distance, perfect for looking for animals at night.

Big and bright! Love that it is rechargeable. Great to keep near the front door for late-night dog walks.

Second time owning this light. It is incredibly bright, close to the spotlight on a police car . It is reliable and I had the first one close to 10 years before it finally wouldn't charge anymore. Haven't really used it to charge any devices so can't speak to that function.
