Worked great. Until it didn’t. Motor burned up after 20 minutes on first use. Exchanged for the toro mulcher/blower. Much happier

Sun Joe Leaf Shredder mulcher work great easy to use mulch leaves and put them in garden bed just what I was looking for

Plastic bin stretched, cracked and fell apart after only about ten minutes of use. if the collection bin were made of metal instead of cheap plastic it might hold up better and actually do it's job. Nice idea but poorly made and unable to achieve the task. Not durable at all and legs are thin and wobbly.

I like this brand better than a competitor as it doesn't throw so much dust out of the funnel and it has a slider to control the fineness of leaves shredded. My first one lasted about 2 years before the motor died. The second one was improved with a filter on the air intake, but the motor also burned up on that one after maybe 5 hours of use and was replaced under warranty. Hopefully, this one will last longer.

Arrived fast in the original box. There are many pros to this machine; large hopper to deposit leaves, variable speed/leaf setting depending on type of leaves (even a mode for wet leaves), adjustable legs so shorties like me don’t loose a finger trying to put leaves in without being able to see and with a long enough extension cord it’s manageable enough to move anywhere in the yard I need it. I have a huge southern magnolia in my back yard that drops leaves every single day of the year. Every. Single. Day. This makes quick work of turning a huge pile of leaves into a small pile of leaf mulch to add to the compost pile or throw into a garden bed. Highly recommend this product. Also highly recommend wearing pants, long pants that is, when using it, otherwise jagged shards of leaf debris pummel your legs at high rates of speed- that can be uncomfortable.

My lawnmower mulch is better than this thing does

It is very easy to use and maintenance free. It turns a large pile of leaves to dust.

My husband loves it! definitely would recommend it.

We have about 8 hours of shredding on this small but mighty machine. No gas and oil smell. No full ups. Just lots of chips. And what is to big we burn in our fire pit.

Was exactly what I was looking for to help with the snall amount of leaves i have in my yard. As well for the garden at the end of the year.

I have 18 pampas grass plants on my side yard. Each year it is an unbelievably hard chore to cut them down. I purchased this shredder with hopes it might make it a little easier. My gosh has it!!! It has cut the time to do that one chore in half. It is so powerful i can’t believe it. I am so happy I’ve purchased this item. Finally something that does the job as promised. Thank you

I bought this for grinding my horses hay so he can eat is easier. I'm amazed how great this product performs. it does eat trimmer line!

I recently purchased a home with several large trees in the back yard. The sun joe shredder has helped me churn through tons of leaves as either mulch, additions to the compost and leafmould piles and helped to ease disposal. The provided trimming line doesnt have any issues most reasonable uses. Things to watch out for: Make sure to avoid putting sticks/twigs into the shredded if it is longer than 6 inches or has a diameter greater than .25 inches. Doing so will cause the trim-line to wear out faster. Also, while shredding make sure to keep the air intake for the motor clear of leaf debris, by stopping occasionally to clear any debris build up.

The on/off switch broke on the third use.

This is the best item we have purchased in a while. Does a great job of shredding leaves and greatly reducing the volume. The shredded leaves are perfect for mulching.

Worked fine for an hour, then motor quit. Ok, i will call SunJoe and get it fixed. No phone to call, only email. Emailed Jan 8th, no reply. Its 11 days later with no contact from SunJoke. HD took it back on return. Keep away from these guys

For a glorified weed wacker this leaf shredder has been a great investment. The design is well thought out. The thing is very light and easy to move around my yard. This does go through the shredder lines rapidly. I get four bags of leaves, 36 lbs a bag, from a set of four lines. Most of my leaves are fed in dry but it will work on wet but recently fallen leaves. I try to keep the stick's and twigs out as they really eat up the shredder lines instantly. Compared to my old gas powered beast, this is way easier on me and I save time wasted unclogging this one as I never try to over tax this unit. I am happy hauling the branches to my brush pile.

Too small for any large amount of leaves.

I was excited when it came, and it was easy to put together, but after using it a few times I had trouble with the on/off toggle and I had to manually unplug it to get it to stop. I was hoping to use it for several seasons, but I decided to return it instead. I liked it when it worked correctly, though.

Great product and it gets the job done quickly.

Even though I repeatedly cleaned the filters, the unit over heated constantly after only about 15 minutes of use. It took nearly an hour for it to cool off before it would work again.

Works great even on small twigs. love that the bag attaches and comes off easily. A little disappointed that the mulching string has to be changed about every 3 to 4 bags; however, I purchased some heavy duty weed eater string that works fine and a lot cheaper.
