I purchased with a specific project in mind. I was looking fora shed that could be altered to cover utility meters, which required some alterations. A little expensive for my project, but there were no other alternatives other than building something. As durable as they are, I didn't want a plastic Not my area of expertise. Item shipped quickly. All the parts were included, and was fairly easy to put together with one person. Helpful to have two people when trying to stand it up. Item feels flimsy until you get it put together; sturdy after the floor and roof are placed on. Takes a stain nicely (I put transparent waterproofing). So, expensive for my purposes, but the finished product looks really nice.

This product was fairly easy to install. I did it alone but would recommend someone to help at certain stages in the installation. The exterior will need to be treated with a protective finish. I used Thompson's water seal in a semitransparent color.

Nice looking, roomy, sturdy
We got this shed for the local dog park. We liked the combination of wooden sides for nice appearance with resin base and top for resistance to weathering, This meant a large, very heavy box and a significant assembly and staining time (5+ hours) even with two experienced handymen, but it was worth it - the shed looks really good and we think it will last a long time. If you can, use a drill rather than a screwdriver to put in the screws to save a lot of time. Don't try to assemble this without at least two people.

This product was exactly what we were looking for for our Florida pool deck.
Both products were fairly easy to put together by myself and my partner. Shed took about 3 hrs and deck box took about 1 hr. We used a clear urethane finish to show off the cedar wood and are very happy with the results

Cedar and Resin Vertical Shed, So Nice Moved It Inside!
This shed was more then I expected from the very start. Once I open the box and looked at the door hardware I realized that this makes those other plastic shed look cheap. with room for two shelves inside this is more than enough space for any garden projects that need to be done. With the hybrid plastic bottom and top there should be no leaks or fear of the wood panels ever wroughting.

easy to assembly fast and Free shipping !!!
Went together very easy about an hour with screw gun (lots of screws) looks much better than the plastic ones they sell in store. Just hope it holds up like the resin ones do. Should include shelves thats the only down side so far. TC Hiram,Ga.

    Aesthetics / Strength Trade-off...
So far, so good, with this shed. It took my wife and I about 3 hours to put it together with a power drill. It is entirely cedar planks except for the roof, floor, and hardware. It smells nice, and I believe it will age well. It will take a stain and/or weather seal too - something we're debating. The wood is quite soft, so you certainly want to use a low setting on your drill or you will split the planks. You need to be very careful during assembly for the individual pieces are fragile relative to the usual 3/4" pine usually used in unassembled furniture. One slip of your foot and you'll break something. I've fit my (larger than most) Honda lawn mower into it, so far. I plan to put in some hooks for other lawn equipment and tools. Also, a shelf to get unsightly jugs of weed killers and bug sprays out of my garage. One more benefit of wood is that I plan to reinforce the walls with additional lumber to install custom shelves, racks, etc. You cannot easily do this with resin. All in all, this item is a good trade-off between the strength of resin alternatives for the benefit of a much more pleasing, natural wood style. This will age well, while a resin container will only look worse with time. A five star review would command a bit more strength; with thicker planks and metal reinforcements. However, at this price point, I think it's an excellent value for the do-it-yourself backyard.

    missing critical hardware
Don’t see the point in buying a kit is it’s missing 100 of the main type of screws used to assemble it.

Easy to assemble with two people. The wood is nice but not very thick and prone to cracking. I reinforced some places. But I’m very pleased with how the project turned out.

This is a super high-quality shed! It took me much longer to assemble than it should have as I took my time to make sure I did it right the first time, and I did it alone (and, not that it should matter, but I'm a short woman, but also not a ton of carpentry skills). My doors don't meet PERFECTLY, but other than that, I really could not be happier about this shed. It does not feel like something put together from a box. Its very sturdy and REALLY attractive - looks just like it does in the picture.

Couple hours to put together. Not all the joints met perfectly and some of the wood slats split when screwed. Feels too expensive for the quality. But sturdy and looks nice. Plastic top/base are nice for avoiding moisture and minimal-looking so as to not look cheap.

      Outside storage
The materials are somewhat flimsy and the overall solidity of the unit is not as sturdy as I was hoping for. The wood also requires some sanding because not all surfaces were smooth.

Overall good, but the instructions had problems. The instructions were well laid out and easy to read, but they would put important information AFTER the step you needed it in, instead of the beginning of the step. They also referred to the wrong page numbers.

          Looks good, sturdy, but heavy
Easy to assemble, solid, looks good. Has the benefit of a natural look with a durable resin roof and base. I combined this unit with several Suncast low-rise sheds that were also cedar-sided. It was heavy to move and requires two people to unload and a van or utility vehicle to transport.

          LOOKS NICE
We put this together in a less than a day. You do need two people. The directions were great. One corner doesn't fit exactly flush, probably our error, but all in all it went together easily. Looks great.

          Cheap quality wood
We bought the shed and had it delivered. Immediately upon opening I could tell the wood was of poor quality. It feels very similar to balsa wood, not something you would want to use on an outdoor shed. While assembling I found many pieces not cut evenly and some already broken. Applying light pressure can break the wood. At some point through the assembly one of the corners pieces snapped and all the screws holding it together ripped through the wood. These screws were not the ones we put in but the ones pre installed. That was the last straw, we packed it up and returned it. For the price it is not worth all of the work of assembly, fixing poorly done cuts, and unmatched pieces. Then having to stain the entire thing. You are basically just paying for a pile of cheap precut wood.

            Product met my expectations
I needed a tall wood storage cabinet for my backyard to store yard tools and other items, and this item was exactly what I needed. It met my expectations for quality, and it was fairly easy to put it together. With the plastic formed bottom and top components, I anticipate that it will help to preserve the unit for a lengthier period of time.

Unit is what I Expected up to the door handles and locks when will not fit
The product ship to the Store and it arrived in a timely manner. The shed when together oaky up to the door handles and the lock. They do not fit this shed as designed. I will have to changes things on the shed and possibly even buy something to fit this shed where it will lock. It should be clear from the manfacture that these parts will not fit this unit in how they were made.

            Happy! with this product
I bought two of these and am very happy with them. Assembly was longer than it should have been but all the errors were mine. The instructions were written well, the parts packaged appropriately and I had all the tools on hand except clamps to attach the headers. Also note that I assembled these with 1 person only--would be much easier with 2! After I finished them I water-sealed them with stain and they are much prettier than I thought they'd be. Do have to be careful of working with the soft cedar but if you pay careful attention they're sturdy and the tongue-in-groove design works beautifully.

            Worst thing I've ever bought
This shed is terrible. Me and two other people followed the instructions precisely, but still when we did the wood cracked, the measurements were way off and inaccurate, the roof doesn't fit on, AND THE DOORS DO NOT FIT ON. If there were negative stars, I would use it for this thing. My advice is to invest your money on a plastic shed that is bigger, more sturdy, cheaper, easier to put together, more accurate, and overall better. Overall grade: Z-

Be prepared for multiple challenges. If you're not "handy", don't purchase this.
Let me preface this by saying that although I am not a contractor, I have built multiple decks, fences and done my share of homeowner and cabin remodelling. Given that, here's my experience building this shed. Since the shed is made of untreated cedar, we pre-stained the entire unit before assembly. The instructions are detailed and fairly easy to follow, but there are several errors if you follow them to the T. Example- the door opening minimum width of 39 1/8" is too narrow and the doors will not close if you install them to the stated dimensions, and the hinge pattern instructions are backwards. Be prepared to modify as you go! The material quality is pretty good, but as others have stated the cedar is very thin and will split if you don't pre-drill screw holes, especially on the ends of the boards. OK, here's the problems- Our unit came with mismatched panels for the back of the shed. We got 2 left panels (instead of a right and a left) so the tongue and groove would not match up (2 grooves/no tongue). I called Suncast and had their representative look at the assembly manual as I described the problem. At first she said that both panels should be the same. I pointed out that the illustration clearly showed 2 different panels and she agreed to send a replacement. A week later the order was still sitting in their system and hadn't shipped so I called them again. The second representative gave me the same story and I walked her through it again and she finally agreed to ship both back panels. 10 days later we finally received the correct pieces. So now we were close to 3 weeks past the original day we started assembling the unit and still had to stain the new panels. (Ok, it's just lost time, but could get pretty expensive if you hired someone to build this for you!). The rest of the unit went together pretty well until we got to the door opening and door hanging. Don't believe the "minimum" opening width of 39 1/8"! We built it to that measurement, but our unit needed at least 39 5/8" for the doors to close. Next problem was the pre-mortised hinge patterns for the doors. I hung them but one of the doors would not even fit in the opening and was not properly aligned vertically, approx 1/4" off from top to bottom. I had to chisel out the hinge mortise on that side to get the door to fit. So what happens then? The door on that side is 1/4" taller than the other and I can't move the hinge down since the screw holes are already drilled! Oh well, I could fix this by cutting 1/4" off the top of one of the doors but it's just a shed, right?? If all the pieces had been there the time to assemble (with my wife helping when needed) would be pretty close to a full day. If Suncast's quality control was better you might be able to do it in 5-6 hours, but since we had to make several adjustments to pieces that just didn't fit it was closer to 8 hours. Again- IF YOU AREN'T HANDY WITH TOOLS DON'T BUY THIS SHED!
