I used these closure strips for a special project- supporting and sealing the uphill end of the panels against a wooden panel (there wasn't enough space for the regular flashing pieces). They served fairly well but I noticed that the profile only approximated the shape of the corrugations which made sealing rather tedious and required a LOT of silicone. The plastic closure strips were similarly approximate. Wondering why.

I ordered these to install the (Tuftex PolyCarb panel) from other home improvement store, thinking that they are interchangeable. But I had to returned them because they are not. These ONLY compatible with (SUNTUF) from HD.About the quality of these items, they are cheap compared to the plastic one, but very fragile, you have to be very careful to handle them.

These are ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! Please do not buy these, there are far better options. The plastic ones are not available any longer at my local Home Depot and they now only sell the wooden ones. These split just by looking at them. It really bothers me when I follow the instructions to a T, buy the right material, hardware and tools for the job and in the end it looks like garbage. You can not screw into these without them spitting down the middle. What is the point of a self-taping screw when you have to pre-drill a pilot hole for every singe screw?
Thanks SunTuff for making my job 300% tougher than it needs to be.

No consistency!
The cuts did not match the pattern to the roofing material I had.
No consistency. 1 would fit the the next was almost a 1/4 off the next 3/8 off some too wide a gap others to small a gap!

Cheap and pay what you got
Bought 9 packs. Some strips broken. It is very easy to install and much better than plastic. The quality is so so.

bad manufacturing
pieces were broken due to the poor quality wood used in manufacturing. Luckily, i was forced to buy extra because of the packaging quantity and was able to piece together what i needed

quality
I purchased 15 packs (75 pieces) and 1/3 of them were weakened by the fact they were milled from cheap, knotty wood that snapped when I either drilled or maipulated into position. They are superb for a nice fit, but they all are not identical in length so after a long run of end to end connection, you will need to check measurement as they will be off in total length. In other words, they will not line up from row to row.

work better than plastic strips
These wooden closure strips are pre-stained and easy to install. I found them online, because the local stores only carry closure strips made out of plastic. The plastic strips expand in the sun and warp much more than the wooden ones, and they are harder to paint. The wooden ones are made in Oregon and cheaper.
