WARNING APRIL 2019: The factory is having quality control problems at the moment. I purchased 14 panels, labelled as the same color, they look to be the same color when viewed from above, but the translucency is wildly different. Some are basically opaque, some translucent. I had already installed some, then stood underneath and realized they don't match. It is not subtle, as you can see. Now I am stuck uninstalling one panel, and spending a couple hours trying to deal with the return and replacement. Shame on suntuff, buyer BEWARE.

Pleased so far. I left a 4 inch & 8 inch overhang and dont think it will be an issue. Built a very large firewood shed and when I applied this it really tightened up the frame - doesn't even budge a millimeter. Think it will easily last 20 years or longer. Next will build a patio cover with hanging fan.

Good for outside projects where you dont want to spend alot of money. The panels are easy to install , they have a little flexibility to accomodate a not so perfect structure. The material is light and easy to work with and cuts with a utility knife or scissors. You should count on purchasing the closure strips and special screws made for these, because regular screws will possibley crack the panel and the closure strips add extra support for only a few bucks. I have used these on run in shelters for chickens and they hold up good to weather in new england.

This is the first roof I've ever installed and is about as difficult as I anticipated. I originally purchased Palruf PVC but learned that it was not suitable for enclosed structures. Home Depot took the return with no questions asked. Following the directions I predrilled a 1/4 inch hole on every other ridge for the wood screws with rubber washers. This was done on the row that has the closure strips. The roof leaked immediately after installation because some of the screws were standing proud so you need to have a good technique at securing the right pressure. After re-tightening I still had leaks so I got back on the roof and unscrewed each bolt and put a dab of DAP230 silicone (approved by Suntuf) to seal each hole. I wish they would have said to do this initially. A huge rainstorm blew through the next day and there were no leaks. I'm not complaining about the product because we are happy with the final look. The polycarbonate is extremely resistant to damage. if it gets pushed in it pops back out no problem. Final word - you need to pre-drill and I would use silicone on every hole.

Very flexible, easy to install panels for building a small green house. I'm using these panels to build a small greenhouse cover for a raised bed I built. I think it will hold up better than a plastic sheeting cover that at common. It's not much harder to work with, you can practically fold it in half, probably blocks less good sun, but blocks some UV to keep plants from scorching.

These panels are reasonably strong and somewhat straightforward to work with. You can cut them with a fine tooth jigsaw by going slowly and clamping between some wood or use a pair of snips - as long as the temperature isn't too cold the material should not crack. This particular panel is transparent with a slight "sea green" tint to it (see picture). PROS: * A little easier to work with than metal. * MUCH less brittle and MUCH more durable than the PVC panels by the same company. CONS: * Seem a little expensive for what they are. * Can get a bit brittle at low temperatures, making it harder to install.

This is a very light weight roofing material that can be used for many different jobs. We used this panel to keep a small dog from finding ways to get through our fence and end up cutting their paws and nose. So far, so good, we haven't had any problems and we can still see through the gate. We used to use chicken wire for years and the dogs would try and tear it down which cut their paws and noses. This surface is real smooth.

I needed a cover for my converted porch swing (into a bench seat). I tried fabric, but that didn't work well for a variety of reasons. So what to do? Then saw this product with UV protection. I love the blue color, although it is available in other colors and clear. It was easy to drill holes (didn't split) for the way I needed to attach it to my makeshift frame. The colored panels are still very clear, so lets the sunlight through (see picture). Very strong even though it appears fragile. Stray cats have jumped on it with no apparent damage. Worked great for my need.

The 36 inch by 6 foot Polycarbonate Roof Panel in Sky Blue allows 55% of the light to transmit through. Making a great roof covering over a deck or pergola... Using it to add a roof under a existing deck to provide a water free covering to the patio below... Since the deck is 12 feet by 12 feet I will need 12 panels to complete the job at a cost of about $280 plus screws.

Blocking 99.9% of UV rays, this genuinely pretty polycarbonate roof panel from Suntuf provides some much-needed protection for our kids when they’re in their fort on our playset. It cuts easily with a circular saw (reverse-mount a fine tooth blade, per the instructions), drills easily, and looks great. Used as a shade on the play structure, this will last forever instead of replacing the shade fabric every few years. My kids love that the lights underneath now look like stars, and since it’s in view all the time from the house, we like that it looks clean and fresh and does not block our view.

A nice panel for many around the house uses. The panel is semi-transparent which will let light through in overhead applications. I cut this with a skill saw and a new carbide blade, per the instructions, without fracturing the panel. I recommend pre-drilling before fastening the material to avoid splintering. The material was thinner than I expected but extremely tough. The color is darker than the picture shown. Overall a good value and easy solution for many projects. In over head applications, be sure to allow for closer rafter spacing for snow loads in colder climates.

Excellent product. Very strong and good quality. While using it for my greenhouse, on more than one occasion I accidentally bent the corrugated sheets, but they did not surprisingly crease at all. Very impressed by the quality and strength.

This product was a pretty hunter green. Each piece was very lightweight, making it very easy to work with. We made a gate cover over a cyclone fence gate. It was so simple to work with. I just got to sit and watch.

This item I am told is guaranteed to last a lifetime; however it cannot stand up to hail! Catio Roof
I was looking for roofing options for the "catio" I built for my cats, when I noticed the Suntuf polycarbonate panels at my local Home Depot. Installation directions seemed straight forward enough, plus the video on the manufacturer's website covered any additional questions I might have had. After ordering the 6 ft. panels (they only seem to stock the 12 ft. in store) I picked up the rest of the materials I would need, (screws with gaskets and closure strips) from my local Home Depot. Panels arrived in store in less than a week. Installation was easy, and in under 3 hours the cat's had a roof on their shelter.

      Used it for fencing.
Had an unpleasant view of parked cars from my patio slider. I used these panels to make two portable fence/bench units to hide the parking lot. Came out fantastic. Everyone loves them. Made the patio an attractive, usable area.

      Hail resistant roofing
After reading the reviews it is better than the PVC material they also sell. It was easy to work with and to cut with a large pair of shop scissors, and it left a good edge not all scalloped from the tool. It was also easy to screw to the recommended plastic strips that are screwed to the batten boards. The screws came in two sizes one inch and two inch. You need the two inch ones to reach the wood battens and a different screw for the plastic strips, so be aware of that. Overall a great product for certain applications. I chose the mist green as it only lets in 25% of the light and heat. This was important in a outdoor chicken coop in Oklahoma.

Some thoughts after Solar Control Silver panels up for a few years on a shed.
I installed Solar Control Silver panels a few years ago as the roof of a shed in St George, Utah. We rarely ever get more than an inch of snow here, but the summer sun is brutally hard on plastics. After several summers, the panels still seem to be flexible, so I'm happy with their UV resistance. The panels are translucent, not transparent. They will let light through, but you won't be able to make out details. During the day, from the outside, they look like metal. From the inside, they let in plenty of light and prevent spiders from making a home in the rafters. Since the panels are letting in some light, if the shed is closed up it seems to get warmer than outside temperatures. The panels have significant thermal expansion and contraction. This ended up causing panels installed during the heat of the afternoon to be a bit longer on the roof than panels installed after the sun went down. The panels also make creaking noises during expansion/contraction. If I had to do it over, I'd have tried to install all of the panels during the hottest part of the day to keep them tight and minimize buckling and noise. The panels are too flexible to support a person's weight directly, but I found that I can still move around up on the roof if I put a couple sheets of scrap wood under me to distribute the load. During install, I thought I'd save myself the cost of the bumpy inserts by just nailing the panels directly to the beams through their valleys. Big mistake! The roof has leaked in a number of spots as a consequence, and caulking/tarring around the nails where the water is getting in does not fix the problem. The panels aren't strong enough to take the abuse of a pry-bar to get the nails back out for some better sealing, so I'll need to replace all of the panels to rectify my mistake.
