This exit light works very well. It is a good size and weight which makes it quite easy to install. Basically I just replaced an old one that was no longer working and used the wiring and connections that were already in place. It good quality and the LED lights are very bright and can see from quite a distance. I would recommend for any business that needs required exit sign

Eaton and The Home Depot came in with a great EXIT sign. The high impact plastic case is a little tough to open ! This comes with four (4) sheets or jells so you can decide if you want to display in green or red. And two (2) face plates that say exit or are solid for a blank side. You can also decide to hang flat on wall or stand out for two (2) side display ! It does need to be hard wired into an electrical outlet ! Also there are pop-outs to display arrows pointing to the exit !! A very nice exit sign !!!

Works as expected, no issues during installation.

This way out!!! This is a very good LED exit notification for commercial use. English only. ( I'm sure other languages are available) Has very good mounting instructions and comes with everything like; two sided or single sided view, red or green display, hang mount from ceiling or mount to wall, directional arrows and has a nice glow to it. Internal battery for power outages. Made of a high grade plastic. Good product!

This is a good option if you need an impact resistant sign. Mop handles, brooms, boxes, etc... all seam to do a number on exit signs. This should hold up to abuse. "Self Powered" does not mean this is battery powered for daily use. "Self Powered" in this case, means when the power goes out this unit has a battery to power itself until the power comes back on. This will need to be connected to a power source to operate daily and recharge the battery. You have the options of red or green and double sided or not. This can be mounted to the ceiling or the wall.

Exactly as stated in Ad. Size color shape all were as expected. This is a requirement for all commercial buildings to have exit signs at all doors in case of a fire or power goes out so you can find your way to the exit. By the weight and thickness if the plastic I am hopeful that this will last and not be brittle as some manufacturers build theirs.

This exit sign has some nice customization features. You can choose whether or not to display "Exit" on one or both sides. You can also choose whether or not to display in green or red. Removing the covers for customization is very easy and you can switch it all around in matter of minutes. When wired up, the battery will charge. My only complaint is that the battery will only last for about 30-40 minutes when not wired into electricity. It would be nice for it to last longer.

This sign does require to be installed to electricity which in fact keeps the built in battery constantly charged so that you can always see the EXIT letters on either side well lit. The self powered description means it does have built in batteries so when the electrical power does go out, then the sign continues to light up on its own. This is the way it works. You don't have to buy a battery for it; it is self power during power outages. I like the choice of green or red letters, but stayed with the red. I have it in the middle of an area with the arrows on both sides pointing towards the exit. It is a versatile sign to set up on either side of the unit and arrows pointing either way.

LPX 1.09 Watt White Integrated LED Exit Sign, Self-Powered, is all BUT self powered. When Home Depot offered this item I decided to get it because the description is "self-powered". I wanted to add this sign to my home because I have a teaching room that I want to make sure folks know the way out. I ordered the sign, and received it shortly thereafter, well packaged, and well presented. The sign is made of durable plastic casting. The sign includes arrows for directions which are clean cut, and can be removed easily due to the plastic tab application. The sign includes red background and green background plates, and the unit inside uses red or green LED's to light the lamp. You simply change the jump pin inside to determine red or green bulbs. The sign can be used mounted on its end, from the ceiling, or flush against the wall. Overall, a very nice sign. But this is where the description changes because this unit is NOT self-powered. The unit requires an electrical connection, that will charge the internal NiCd battery pack. When the lights go out, the battery kicks in and will keep the sign lit for an extended period of time. Without electrical connection, there is no way to charge the battery pack. With no electrical power, the sign will not work. I have checked the instructions over and over again. There is no self-powering in this unit. I was disappointed. Because of this, I cannot install it until I first higher an electrician to install an electrical box and connection, and at considerable cost. Definitely not why I ordered this. As for the appearance of the unit: 5*s out of 5 As for the quality of the unit: 4*s out of 5 As for ease of installation: 1 out of 5 Do not purchase this unit if you think it is self powered, battery operated. It is not. It is only battery backup. Thank you Home Depot for offering this item.
