NO NOTIFICATION?????
No notification in my Iphone 11, Swann security app. Consulted a tch followed step by step still did not work. I resetted, re uploaded app x 5, still no notification, tried to update phone and device also, still no help. Too bad I like how it looks and all the features except the Notification does not work, will return soon. I will send pictures of some motions recorded but nothing in notification. I don't know if this can be fixed.

    Awesome product!
    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just installed this flood light camera this past weekend. The brightness of the flood light reaches over 75 feet. Very pleased. The setup instructions for the camera were easy to follow, the app is very friendly, and the picture quality from the camera is fantastic. Comes with night vision as well, can view it live, or change settings to record on movement. Great investment.

      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With so much crime now the Swann Floodlight Security Camera is a great addition to our home..With motion lighting..siren..video..app alerts and 2 way talk you know Swann Floodlight Security is on the job 24/7..With easy installation we just took down a floodlight and replaced it with Swann..The wiring was standard and was easy to connect..Once connected we installed the app to my Android with no problems..Being wireless makes it so much easier to use and works with Google or Alexa..The Swann Floodlight Security Camera gives my family and myself peace of mind.

        I should have read the reviews before I wasted my time and money on this product. I was unable to pair, because the system was defective. It has been over six weeks since I contacted tech support, Rich, who was just as useless as the product. Over the past month and a half, I contacted or tried to contact the company numerous time with absolutely no response. Bad, just bad.

          HORRIBLE!!!!!!
          Bought 2 of these during Home Depot's Special Buy of the Day, to have once my home renovation reached thw stage for needing security cameras. When that day arrived, I installed one of the cameras, and guess what? No matter what I tried, I could NOT get it to pair. And bear in mind that my wi-fi router is right next to the door where the camera is mounted on the exterior. The camera still won't pair, or "set-up." What's worst is that before realizing the cameras are junk, I bought another pair for my girlfriend's house. Only one of the two could be paired, and it works okay. Still, only one out of 4 working cameras is horrible given the cost. as it stands, the only thing the cameras are good for is bright light........another thing: Customer service is all but non-existent. when you try a virtual chat, the virtual assistant never understands what you're saying. Moreover, when you clicked on any link it provides to "help," you receive the "oops" notification odd the site no longer being located there. So now, I wasted a lot of money when I could've just bought Ring Floodlight cameras to begin with. Installed to of those for my brother, and BOTH work flawlessly. I'm usually the guy who says brand names do not matter, but the Swann brand makes me reconsider that view. Again, they are HORRIBLE!!!! Last thing. The review system makes you give at least one star, but these cameras do not even deserve that!

If your mobile device is not meeting the bandwidth requirements the resolution may be lower than desired or will not connect at all.               I should have paid more attention to all the other poor reviews. The phone app for configuring camera never has paired with with the camera "hot spot" so camera is still not visible on my wi-fi network. Swann web site seems poorly organized for finding information. Manual configuration with an actual cable and an internal web interface would probably have worked better. As a motion detecting floodlight, it works fine.

                Great unit, poor software
                I purchased this unit after researching multiple units. I wanted a device that I didn't have to pay a monthly fee, that was sturdy, and the could access wirelessly. This unit fit the bill. The unit was in fact very sturdy and exceeded my expectations. I had no issue hooking up to the wireless, installing the app (that the instructions told me to) and running the camera. However in 30 mins I received a notification that I had to swap to another app because the one that the instructions told me to use, was being shutdown. (I do completely understand that situations do call for this at times). The new app however, does not give me the quick response time the old did. I could open the old up and my camera was available quickly, I had no problem speaking to someone outside, and the controls were easy and I could even set profiles for when I was away, at home, or at night, plus notifications were spot on and rapid. The new app, takes a very long time to open my camera, notifications come in hours after a motion trigger, the controls are still simple but no profile settings, and I can not make out what someone is saying to me from my driveway, sound is ridiculously choppy. The unit is very sound the software is currently horrible and unfortunately I can not recommend a unit that is not comfortable to use because of the software issues. I am waiting to see if updates are coming to improve my experience. I have only owned the device for a month and am willing to be patient. But I am in the market for additional cameras and if Swann does not fix the issues with the new software I am afraid I am taking my business elsewhere.

                      Everything is wrong with their cameras after so called app update. Poor video quality, unable to access video clip, unable to choose the length of the recording, playback if available lasts only a few sec. and is in a fast forwarding mode. Constant notifications that camera is disconnected. Very limited set up options. It doesn’t accept certain setup changes. It used to be OK. Now however, it’s a useless peace of junk in my opinion.

                        Bought last year and worked find until the company sent out an update that shut the cameras down. This happened in May and new camera where sent out but most of the features from my old camera does not work.

                          Works Great!
                          The camera / floodlight was easy to install and setup to the wifi did not take lond at all. Wireless router is located through a brick wall claose to the camera so we have a good signal strenght at the camera. After 6 months of use we have had to reset the camera one time because of a severe thunder storm with lightling and over 4 inches of rain. We still like this camera alot with the emails that it sends to our phone is great. We do get a few false alarms because in the morning with the wind blowing and small dog wood trees near the camera. Still, it is a good value for the money!

                            This is an annoying piece of junk that keeps sending out false alarms and turning on the light for no reason, even with the motion detection sensitivity set to the lowest setting. I have two of them installed and they both do the same thing. The app is also trash, always hanging up and unresponsive to command inputs.

PIR sensors work optimally when the camera is mounted around looking down somewhat and the subject of detection passes across their front. The more the object must "cross" the front of the camera the better the detection reliability. When placing your camera try to avoid situations where the subject would move straight toward the camera if possible. You may need to experiment with the sensitivity settings in the app and camera placement to get the ideal mix of detection. We’re sorry that this app has been disappointing for you. Night vision isn't all it is cracked up to be so having a light makes a world of difference when videoing. Set up was ok. A bit tricky at times but it was successful and the free cloud recording is a nice feature.

Your camera can detect movement of a person up to 32ft / 10m from the camera when on the highest True Detect Motion Sensitivity settings. More intense heat sources (e.g. vehicles) may detect a little further away and less intense heat sources (e.g. pets/small animals) may need to be a little closer before they are detected. The range/sensitivity of the motion sensor can be adjusted via the True Detect Motion Sensitivity settings bar in the app.
