This 4-pack of Sylvania B10, clear candelabra bulbs is rated to last twice as long as standard B10 bulbs. The claimed life is 3000 hours. Sylvania does state in tiny print on the back of the package that they are "almost as bright as standard B10 bulbs". This is what I expected since the most common way to increase bulb life is to increase the thickness of the filement thereby increasing the amount of time it takes to burn through it. I did see a very small, almost imperceptible drop in brightness when comparied side by side to a standard B10 bulb. However, if I will get 2x the life, it is a trade I will gladly make. Besides, most applications for this bulb puts it in fixtures with multiple bulbs, such as wall sconces and chandeliers. It should be noted that this bulb is rated for operation with base down to horizontal only. It is not to be burned base up. If you are not satisfied with this product, simply send them the UPC code and Sylvania will send one free of charge,. It is made in China.
