Excellent pump, better than I expected, more than a month working and has the same strength, but it was necessary to clean the mesh (included) because my pond is growing algae. Does not include the hose adapter so you have to buy a 3/4 inch pvc female adapter.

I replaced 2 aqua genius p4800 pumps with these slightly smaller pumps from TotalPond. My two previous pumps were 1400 gph and the two new pumps are 1200 gph. These go up a ten foot indoor wall fountain and work amazing. I will definitely purchase these again when replacing in the future. Don’t forget to register your pump for a 2 year warranty. Two thumbs up.

Two versions of TotalPond LL1200 are very different

I have purchased two TotalPond LL1200 pumps, a year and a half apart, but they are very different in size and fittings. First was purchased from Home Depot, lasted about a year and died. Working on getting repair/replace under warranty. The first one came with fittings to allow different sizes of tubing on outlet, and specified that 1" ID tubing was suitable. The second pump (SAME MODEL #) is a good deal smaller, fits garden-hose size on outlet and no instructions for size of pipe to use. Unfortunately, the second one purchased from a different store does not work at all; dead as a door nail. Home Depot has a like to the product manual which pictures the first, larger pump. This is bewildering, and very disappointing because I replumbed my waterfall line to accommodate the LL1200 and the flow was ideal with the first one. I was entirely happy with the first one, but for the difficulty of taking it apart to clean and maintain according to mfg. instructions. The videos on this page show the different pumps: the "care and maintain" video shows the larger, first model. The "installation" video shows the smaller, later model!

(What's this)
Great little pump for a water feature or waterfall. Has plenty of power to give about four and half feet of lift, says it will lift to five feet but it only trickles the water at that height. Comes with a screw on hose adapter for output. Whole unit sits in a leaf bag to keep the propeller free of debris in open water features. Standard 110 volt wiring that includes plug. Screw on adapter ideally fits various sizes of lift hoses. Make a beautiful water feature in any yard with this convenient little, easy to install pump.

I replaced my old 1900 GPH pump that used 230 watts with this one to save on energy. The LL1200 is rated to use 70 watts and I measured 73 watts with my wattmeter. You'd think that the new 1200GPH pump would pump less than the old 1900GPH pump, but you'd be wrong. Total Pond generously rates their GPH with a 5' lift. My old pump was rated at 1'. At 5' lift, the LL1200 does 1242GPH, the old pump does 1250. So I get the same amount of flow for less than 1/3 the energy usage. The information about fittings was confusing to me. The pump itself has a 1 1/4" Male Iron Pipe (MIP) fitting. A barbed adapter is provided that allows 1" or 1.5" inside diameter tubing to be pushed on. I have an algae problem in my pond, so I really like the idea of the provided barrier bag. One thing to note is if you use the barrier bag you need to run the cord out next to the outlet. In my case the pump goes in with the fitting down, so I lost about a foot of the 16' cord length due to using the barrier bag. I run the pump 10 hours a day, so it will save me about $70/year in electricity costs.

(What's this)
I have a yard full of water features and this pump is the for the largest waterfall I'll be building to date. Rated at 1200gph at 5 feet of head, this pump delivers every single bit of it's rated flow. Lots of times pumps are rated at the pressure they can flow right at the pump itself only and it quickly drops off as height increases. Not so with this Total Pond pump. I tested this with an 8 inch spillway and 1 inch hose. It can accept up to 1 1/2 inch hose with it's adapter. With one inch hose you get a massive powerful flow at four feet of head pressure. A lot of assembly isn't required, this is ready to go as soon as you screw on the hose adapter. A 16 foot power cord lets you safely run the plug to your outlet far away from the water feature. This includes a mesh cover bag that will keep fine detritus and particles AND fish from getting caught in the pump. The pump also has a thick plastic final guard just in case a fish or frog get a bit too close. Once plugged and plumbed into your water feature, you'll be impressed with the power of this pump. I was actually surprised at the flow. Aside from the amazing power, this pump only draws 70W/1amp at 120v. That's pretty energy efficient and you'll appreciate it on your water bill. It has a built in handle that makes cleaning and locating the pump easy. If you have large water features and need a high flow pump, you can't go wrong with this selection.

I have a cascading pond design - there is a top portion and a bottom portion and a sloping rocky link between them. I am using Model Ll1200 GPH pump to bring the water from the bottom portion to Model A16575, the 8" spillway, at the top section. I am using Model DD11330 at the bottom section to create a vortex in the lower section. The top section contains an aquatic planting area using Model A16549 for lights and aeration.

This is a solid heavy duty pump, comes with an adapter so you can fit several different size outlets.. Very easy to use, just plug and play, as you can see from the pictures I used pvc pipe to plumb the waterfall splitting it into a tee at the top so I would have a wider flow. I laid out the piping first then built up the rocks around it. The recks are secured with construction adhesive and mortar, This pump puts out a solid steady flow to create a beautiful waterfall. Any beginner could easily tackle this job. It also comes with a net bag that fits around the pump to catch debris and filter the pond water.Its a sturdy solid well made pump that seems like it will last a lot of years;;
