Eady to install, the app will walk you through it. Works great with Alexa. I only used one per 3 way switch changing out the master and not the slave. The manual switch still works. Bonus 2 for 1. Only drawback is they are not dimmer switches.

This TP-Link Smart Wifi 3-Way Light Switch Kit was the easiest smart phone wifi appliance app I've ever set up. (I've set up wifi lamps, thermostats and cameras made by Samsung, Netgear, Ring, Health-Zenith, Chamberlain, and others.) You simply download the TP-Link "Kasa for Mobile" app from the Apple or Google app store and run it. It takes you step by step through the installation of the wifi 3-way switches and initialization of the wifi link so you can turn the controlled light on or off with the physical switches or the TP-Link app. You need to know your wifi router password to complete the setup and the switches have to be within range of your wifi signal. The only problem I encountered was my own fault because when it got to the part where it was going to tell me how to install the new 3-way switches, I thought I knew enough to do it myself without looking at the instructions. Bad move! I installed the new switches without connecting the neutral or ground wires of the new switch because that's the way the old switches were wired. It turns out the wifi switches require the neutral wire (probably so they can draw power to run the wifi tranceiver via a complete circuit) so I had to take everything apart again to find the neutral and ground wires stuffed in the back of the junction boxes and connect them to the new wifi 3-way switches. The other issue I had to cope with is that these are the wide rocker style switches and the old switches I was replacing are the narrow old standard on/off switches and one junction box had three switches in it and the other had two switches in it. I thought I was going to have to replace all the old switches with new rocker style switches, but I was able to find new switch cover plates at Home Depot that had just one rocker style opening and one or two regular narrow switch openings, so that was not a problem. If you are installing these as a replacement for a single old switch configuration, the kit includes a pair of nice new rocker style switch plates that don't require any exposed screws on the front.

Great product. This isn't my first Kasa product, so I already had the app and was familiar with how it worked. They have installation down to science. Once you have the Kasa app, simply tell it you want to add a device , and literally takes you step-by-step. Thanks to that, it's a breeze to do. The hardest part was getting the right fuse off. Once installed, the app has you name the light, and then you can set up a timer, schedule for on/off (great for if you leave for work early), an "away" schedule, or just see the stats of how long the light has been on for. This pack has two three way switches, and I was able to use them in separate locations, which has been great, because I was able to replace the non-dimmer switch, and still be able to dim the light as needed, though manually. If you use the Xfinity xFi app, you can also control the light there, though only the basic on or off. The switch fit great in my three-gang, and the only reason it's even noticeable, is because of the backlight, which shows connectivity, and because it doesn't move "up" or "down" Absolutely love it, and so great to be able to turn a light on not being home, or in the dark.

Great 3-way switches! I installed these in our hallway. The wifi tech is great and fairly easy to setup. Note that the instructions in the box simply direct you to download the app which then has very detailed installation and setup instructions. From opening the box to completed installation, it took about 30 minutes. Included in the box are wire labels, which are handy so you can label your existing wires once you take the old switch out. If you're not familiar with basic home wiring, you may want to hire an electrician. These are installed by basically connecting three wires on each switch. I love the ability to turn them on/off with the app. Also, you can control the lights even when you're not at home. I have Alexa setup to turn them on/off as well. Love the tech. Going to purchase more for other rooms in the house.

The installation of this switch was very easy and took about 15 minutes for a switch. Keep in mind that you can used each switch individually for two different three way setups ( since this is WiFi controlled). Also, make sure you have a neutral wire behind your old switch as this will not work without one. There is no manual and installation is guided thorough the app. Integration into the app and then to Alexa was straightforward as well. One thing I did not like was that the outer frame is kind of thick and it caused my wall plate to bulge a bit (see pictures). It may not be the same for new plates but mine are kind of older ones. Overall, I am satisfied with the performance and these works great with Alexa.

TP-Link did a good job with this products, making it pretty simple to install, including labels, wire nuts, etc, Imagine yourself having gone from upstairs to downstairs, sit on the couch only to forget that you left the stair light on! This way you just talk to alexa and have her turn it off, or use the app!

Highly recommend this smart 3-way light switch. It was fairly easy to install even for the novice DIYer by just following the instructions contained in the downloaded free App (NOTE – the App name to download is shown as “Kasa for Mobile” but searching for that name returns a Social Networking App. The correct App name is “Kasa for Mobile tp-link”). Included are wire labels to be applied prior to disconnecting the old switch and then it’s just a matter of matching the labels to the new switch diagram – a neutral wire is required. This product works as a standalone Wi-Fi smart switch or through Google Assistant, amazon alexa, nest or other devices using IFTTT. I have mine setup to just use Wi-Fi for control through the App which gives me on/off control from anywhere. The package contains two smart switches for use in a 3-way configuration – as far as I can tell the switches are identical which makes me wonder if each switch could be used individually in a single switch circuit. A nice feature of the switch is a lighted circle on the switch when it is off – helps to see the switch when it’s dark. There are two no-screw switch plate covers also included. Overall, this unit is a very nice and functional addition.

This Smart Wi-Fi Light Switch with 3-Way Kit was one of the easiest to install and configure 3 way switches I have yet to install. It will work with Google and Alexa if you have them. Unfortunately, I don’t have one, so I was unable to test that part out. I do have a smartphone and it works very well. The kit comes with labels to label the wiring as you remove your old 3-way switch and the app for the smartphone has versions for Android or Apple phones. The lightswitches have clearly labeled Mac address right on it so if you ever need to know the information, it is right there. Along with that, it has a reset and restart button that are under the faceplate should it ever need it. When you install the app and run it, you add the device your installing, and it will guide you through with installation of the light switches. It covers everything from the wiring, labeling the wires, joining the network, and then it even checks for firmware updates for the dimmer switches and installs the firmware update for you. I really like the switch plates, they are the kind that snap on, so no screws, just a nice smooth faceplate is seen.

These are well made lights. I have installed several sets of 3 way switches smart lights from other companies in my home. The installation is the same for all the companies. You have your line/load , you have your neutral also known as common or ground, and you have your 2 traveler wires. The 2 traveler wires will always be coming from the same co-axel in the box this will help you to identify them. The TP-Link 3 way smart light switch uses screws to attach the wires instead of the little holes that you poke your wires in. This makes the installation a little more difficult, however probably a little safer as well. With the other 3 way installations in my home I only had to use one switch and they operated fine. Only one place in my house could I not get the single 3 way smart light switch to operate properly. So I decided to try TP-Link 3 way switch which comes with 2 switches that pair together. This took care of my problem. This particular set of switches is pretty much a fail safe installation. You have to pair them with the TP-Link KASA app and then you can link the app to your smart home system such as google. These are really nice and easy to install and setup.

The schedule to turn on the light works but it cannot turn off the light according to schedule. Other than that, it is fine.

I have 16 of these throughout my house and they are easy to set up and all of them have been working well for about a month now, I haven't used other products so it is difficult to give this one a 5 star having nothing to compare it to. I do recommend them!

I saw online videos about the ease of this installation. I felt confident as a DIY and took on this easy task. Installation was a a breeze. I’ve converted many outlets and switches with TP- LINK around my home. I love the convenience of controlling my lights with my smart phone or tablet.

Smart Wi-Fi Light Switch with 3-Way Kit - I got this kit and have it controlling the lights over our kitchen island. Installation was really easy with, of course, the most important thing: pay attention during wiring the switches. Make sure you have turned off the correct breaker, test that the power is off, then focus on the wiring. If you are uncomfortable or inexperienced, get an electrician or at least someone with wiring experience. After setting up the app and testing, I found that these have a good response time both in the app and with Alexa. This is an easy recommendation for making one small thing even easier.

The TP-Link smart Wi-Fi light switch for 3-way lighting is easy to install and the app synched up with no issues. There is a great video online that gives you step by step instructions on installing and tagging the wires if needed. No hub or extra parts are required for this to work. The switches have an indicator that illuminates so it's easy to see them in the dark. The Kasa app is great and very easy to use. It allows you to schedule your lights to go on or off at certain times, and set timer countdowns. It also has an away mode that will randomly turn your lights on and off while you are away making it look like someone is home. It’s compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing you to control your lights with voice commands for hands-free use. You can also control them manually using the power, restart, and reset buttons on the switch.
