FauxStonePanels
I wanted to dress up my garage a bit and hunted everywhere on line for Faux Stone Panels. Prices were more some prices better, but I usually give my $$ to HD for over 20 years. These were easy to work with although after cutting you must be aware that the edges may have the 'foam look' so you may have to put a border up to hide that..It looks good. Hope it lasts..we'll see :) And, Yes, I am a woman who bought the Faux Stone panels, Garage Faux Windows, and the Black Handles Kit for my garage , and Yes, I did all of the work Myself! All materials came from Home Depot and my next step is to buy some nice shingles to put up on the T-11...Debbie

Nice Finish to Ourdoor Kitchen
We consulted U TUBE for installation tips. Material appears to be molded / painted polyurethane-based insulating foam. The panels themselves are light weight. Easy to cut and install. Installation on a solid backing is suggested for strength. Seems durable. I sprayed clear finish on it just as an extra precaution for UV fading in the hot Texas sun.

What a Difference the Faux Grand Heritage Stack Stone Panel Made to Our Entryway
We have a two and a half story entry way / foyer. The "tall wall" going up the stairway has taken a real beating between the kids hand prints and the dogs. We wanted to do something to make the wall look great and be low maintenance. So after a discussion around re-painting, wall papering or stone, we found this product on Home Depot.com. We placed the order which came with free shipping via truck delivery. The panels arrived and the driver couldn't be nicer. We ordered 36 panels, and the packaging was great. Each panel was wrapped in stretch with some foam wrap separating each one, and then the were wrapped again in sets of 4 and then all wrapped together in a heavy cardboard box, strapped to a pallet. The panels are made of polyurethane. They are fairly light weight and seem pretty durable, especially once they are glued to the wall. I used a table saw, miter saw, hand saw and Dremmel tool to perform all the cutting. If you don't own power tools, don't worry. The hand saw cut right through them with ease and unless I needed a perfect straight cut (table saw) the handsaw became my tool of choice. Just a word of caution all cuts generate a lot of dust, and since the dusts is basically plastic, it can be very slippery on concrete and wood surfaces. Also because they are plastic they also cling Once I got a panel cut, I put adhesive on the back in straight vertical lines about 3 inches apart. Starting from the left and the bottom of the wall I stuck the panel to the wall applying even pressure. I don't think they would move, but to be sure, I used drywall screws to hold it in place screwing into the studs. Two or three across the top and down the side if I could find a stud. I also used white head deck screws to screw into the face of the panels if they needed to be secured to look even with the other panels. These are easily hidden in the "grout lines" and since they have white heads really disappear. If you want to, you can use wood filler and paint, but they looked hidden to me. The only other word of advice I can give is if you are working on a stairway, purchase extra. I bought the panels I needed plus 20% more and I still was about 3 panels short. White caulk works great around door frames, I used GE White Paintable Silicone Caulk and it matched great. The only other thing to make it look better is you can caulk all the seams. I have just started doing this and it makes the walk look even better. But you don't have to do it. Overall everyone compliments us on our new wall.

Great product for an easy DIY project.
This is a great, easy product that is straightforward. We wanted something to dress up the cement foundation on our home and this was an affordable option. This product is easy to cut with a skill saw and jigsaw, whick is all we used. We made outside mitered corners that were actually easy to touch up with a little sanding and paint kit. I would recommend this product and would definitely use it again.

Great Real Look w/o the mess.. Super Easy to Install!!
We updated the face of our kitchen island with this product. No concrete backing board, no mortar, no mess. Measure it, cut it, glue it and screw it and your done. Project completed in less than a few hours. Screws are not visible at all when strategically placed. Each piece fits together with no visibility of a joint. Great product and would recommend for any interior project!

Love it!
This is a very useful DIY product. It is a very lightweight, foam-type material, but the craftmanship is beautiful, and it is extremely easy to work with. I was originally going to put it up near our gas fireplace, but was unable to determine whether it is heat resistant, so I decided to use it elsewhere. I built a wooden frame to dress up the face of a bathtub, affixed cement board to it, affixed the stone panel with construction adhesive, and topped it off with a slate ledge. So far so good. It looks like real stone, but was easy to cut to size with a 4" grinder blade. I even just used a razor to shave off corners when I was fitting it up close to the walls. You could probably use a hand saw, too, if careful. I had no problems with it chipping or cracking when cutting it, which I was initially concerned about. I'm very happy with it and will consider using it again for other stone projects.

Quality, Easy to Work with, Looks Great
While this stuff is a bit expensive, it's much easier to work with than the alternative and will cause a lot less of a headache. The really great thing about it using it to spruce up internal spaces like bars or create accents like columns. Easily creates a focal point.

Looks great for fireplaces
We ordered 15 of the Rustic Lodge panels for the fireplace we were building in our downstairs. All of the panels arrived in perfect condition. None were damaged during shipping, and they were consistent in terms of coloring (meaning they all matched in color; none of them had an "off" color compared to the rest). The colors in the rustic lodge are a very light beige, a medium beige, a dark brown, and a dark gray/black. The panels were pretty easy to install with adhesive and screws, and we cut them with a table saw. When cut the inside looks and feels styrofoam-ish with a fine, gritty sand-like finish that rubs off when you touch it. We didn't want to deal with corners so we used solid walnut planks to trim it all out. Around the face of the fireplace we used a Dremel to carve out each stone so it looked like it went all the way through. That was the only area there was exposed "insides" of the panel. We purchased the touch up kit and I hand painted each stone where the cut was so you can't tell. The panels were pricey; however, for the ease of installation and durability it is worth it. It looks real and you can't tell where the panels lock together. I wouldn't say they feel like real stone exactly. If you were to tap your finger in them I think it feels like a high density styrofoam.

Know Your Space
Know Your Space... I have used a similar faux stone product in the past that was individual "stack stones" that required creating a pattern, gluing, stacking, etc... It was a bit of work but allowed the user a custom pattern. I was excited to give this panel design a shot for a small, upcoming project. Despite the dimensions shown, there are a few things the buyer should understand about the design. It is designed so that the panels overlap on the top/bottom & sides. By doing this, you can achieve the large dimensions shown. If you were to install using ONLY this panel, you actual cut dimensions (usable panel) is about 24" tall x 37-1/2" wide; due to the staggered placement of the stones. This will leave exposed (pink colored) end edges. If you cut the panel to the horizontal relief on the backside, the usable panel height becomes more like 22-3/4". This is just a word of caution for any buyer looking to buy just one panel & try to cover a 48" wide area based on the stated 24" x 48" dimensions in the product title. As for the look & quality of the panels themselves, this is a wonderful, strong product. Use of adhesive caulking will hold this panel against most wall substrates. The ability to install a large area with a reasonable looking stone look at a fraction the cost of real stone enables budged-minded individuals creativity in room design.

Expensive but the best alternative to real stone paneling work
Very easy to cut. Made of fiberglass-board material so make sure to wear a mask. I measured the area to cut, and then flipped around and cut from the back using a circular saw. The interlocking teeth are great and if you need a square piece you can cut one end of the board off and affix it to the other end to make one large, square piece. Product feels solid from the front if you knock on it.

Multiple use product
I did a quick installation of this product on one of my block pillasters and found that it was very easy to install. You can use this product for a variety of projects. You can let your imagine go on this one. I originally intended to install this item as a kitchen back spash but when I inspected the product, I found that the highly textured surface would make it difficult to clean. I opted to try to install in my garden area around the block pilasters. It has a great look to it and it was incredibly easy to install. The instructions were brief but very effective.

Rustic Lodge color is brown/beige
I got the Rustic Lodge color expecting it to be more gray from the colors on the HD website, however, it is much more of a brown/beige color. Hopefully my photo will help show how much more brown it looks than their photo. I was hoping to use it under the peninsula in my gray kitchen, but it won't match. Even though I won't be using it, I'll do my best to help review anyways. It is extremely light, so I'm assuming it would be a great product to use on an entire wall where you don't want to worry about it falling down. It didn't come with any instructions, or any adhesive, so you'd have to figure out on your own how you want to apply it. I've used another similar product (AirStone) that I liked a lot more, but I imagine this would be a quicker application since you don't have to figure out a stone pattern yourself.

Beautiful. Realistic Panel
This beautiful, light-weight faux stone panel was the perfect solution to finishing off a newly installed entry door from the garage. The brick mold on the door extended beyond the wall of the garage and left an unfinished look. My husband removed the panel splicing edge and cut the remaining panel to fit beneath the door. He then filled the gap by using liquid nails on some boards that were of the right thickness and securing them to the concrete. He then affixed the faux stone panel onto the boards with liquid nails as well. We are very happy with the results! These panels would look great almost anywhere not exposed to the weather, but they are a little pricey for big projects.

Realistic Looking but Doesn't Feel Like Actual Stone, Lightweight, Easy to cut with Hacksaw and Realign Cut-off Sections, Alternative Headboard
The panel looks like grayish-blue colored stones sans the heavy weight of an actual stone panel; the panel weighs 15lbs. However, it doesn't feel like stone - maybe a heavy duty Styrofoam texture. It is also very gritty in some areas; I just power sprayed the panel to remove the grit and let it air-dry. It is easy to move and to cut with a hacksaw; I used left-over paint to color the sides of the panel that were cut - I believe touch-up paint is available for purchase. I used the cut-off pieces to line up with the opposite end to have a complete panel; I used gorilla glue to ensure the pieces stayed in place. The instructions recommend fastening the panel with screws and adhesive; I choose to use 3 gorilla-grade Monkey Hooks to hold the panel in place just if I decide to move the headboard to another location.

Just Glue and Screw
This was purchased as a time saving option as I had a deadline that I had to make. I was intrigued and just purchased with my gut instinct. I actually had my wife pick the color. Good thing, as I would have picked another color. It looks absolutely real and if I do not tell people that it is Faux stone, they would never know. Am considering this for my indoor fireplace when I build it in the future

Awesome!
This transformed my porch into a very elegant/rustic style porch. Easy to install. I only wish I framed in the windows with trim because now I need to paint the exposed cuts. But well worth it. More than double the time and money if I installed stone. Took me an hour to remove the old siding and around 6-7 hours to install, but wow. What a result.

    great deal
Very easy to install, dense foam makes it cut like plywood. Can be used for different applications than what they recommend, I bought two panels. I cut my panels in half, 12" tall by 48" long , then connected the two pieces from each set together, then making a customized fit for the other end and was able to make an entire piece 12" high by 14' long for my plant shelf. This method was not shown in the different ways to connect them, but works just fine since it is easy to make your own interlock system. Applied some pl premium loctite, installedd pieces one by one, then went back and added screws to hold in place after interlocking them I added a row of led lights to the base of the plant shelf to light up the rocks, looks just like real rock without the hassle. Would buy again!

    Absolutely worth it!
They would have gotten a 5 star rating save for one minor flaw--the place where the panels fit together does not fit tightly. Regardless, you'd have to look to find the seam. The best is simple: they look authentic. Because I did not have a flat back to glue them on, I pre-drilled, then drilled them on to the back of a cupboard that is the front of an island. I used a table saw to get the right length, but a skill saw set deep might do just as well. Where I sawed the edges, the white core shows, so I wish there were some options for touch-up paint (maybe there is & I just missed it). Bottom line is that they are easy to install and look great. This price is the best I've seen in comparison shopping as well.

    my fireplace wall
I used this to make a three section wall in our house. 2 sections are floor laminate in Brazilian Cherry (from home depot) and the center section is faux stone in antique white. the wave shelves and titanium (colored) mounting brackets also came from home depot. I glued it all up with liquid nails and the actual electric LED fireplace (not for warmth, we live in Las Vegas) was a gift from a family member

    Great Product!
I was pleasantly surprised with this product. I was able to put a stone veneer directly on top of tile using liquid nails, and it's solid. It has very little give and looks great! It cuts easily with a circular saw, and I was able to cut, install and touch up in about 8 hrs. It's a short weekend project. Here are some recommendations: Figure out how you will install the 2 x 4 panels before cutting. I was able to complete a full project using only 2 panels. They aren't inexpensive, so it's important to measure twice and cut once. The cut edges look sharp and uniform. You will probably want to break up the flat edge using a dremel. Find the faux seams between rocks and just create some lines that give the impression of separation / depth between stones. Then, using the touch up paint, put down a layer of dark gray (mix black and base) in the cracks you create. This will break up the cut edge and give the look of individual stones. Also, put down a small coat of base color on the exposed foam where your cuts are. This creates a uniform start to any other colors you paint to match the stones. You will need to purchase the touch up kit for all of this. Paint mixing could be easier, but the colors are a good match. Overall, the wife and I are extremely pleased with the result.

Love the product and look but... No help or instructions with installation
Love the product and look but... No help or instructions on installation. Product is abnormally thick and can not be used with regular J channel or corners.. I am still waiting for the manufacturer Superior building products to have someone call me back to answer a few questions (called 3 days ago)... Thankfully my husband is handy and can think outside the box so he custom designed his own corners and moldings to fit with the panels... Once we got past those snags the rest of the installation went super quick. Overall we are happy with the look.

    Good Panel for Safe Areas
We have a large area we want to veneer on the exterior of our home. To veneer in a cultured stone or real stone would take a long time and cost quite a bit of money. This faux panel appeared to be the answer. We wanted to make sure this could handle the extremest item that our foundation has to address: the Weedeater. As you can see, the panel does sustain damage when the Weedeater string comes into contact with the panel. However, this can be remedied by running a course of real brick on the base of these panels for protection. These panels make an excellent choice to save time, money, and have a professional appearance.
