This 6-foot length of pipe arrived with a protective cap placed only on one end of the pipe. Both ends are threaded and it's usually important to protect the integrity of those pipe threads. They pipe was wrapped in a plastic film and despite not having one end protected, there were no problems with the threads. It's a heavy-duty 1.25" by 72" pipe that in use can be pressurized to 150 psi safely. Aside from its plumbing use, these pipes are also suitable for various other projects around the home, both interior and exterior..

This 1-1/4 inch x 72 inch long pipe was actually 71-7/8" long within the tolerances of my tape measure. The threading job looked very nice and the thread pitch was that specified for 1-1/4 inch pipe. Both ends of this pipe were reamed. The pipe and threads had a nice coating of something to prevent rust. The threaded ends have protective plastic caps.

Used this for an unorthodox project. I made a heavy duty stand to hold up a car fender for painting. It needed to be long and strong as these are large body parts from a classic car. Using a metal pipe worked well for its strength and paint tolerance. The quality of the pipe was quite good and the quality of the threads were well cut on the one I got.

This was used to replace an old gas line that had been damaged. The quality of the product seems excellent. Fit was as described and the threads we're well cut leading to a tight fit and excellent seal*. I wish all pipe we're of this quality it would make my job much easier. But, if it was easy anyone could do it and I would be out of work. Home Depot is always there when I need them. *Always use quality sealant when making threaded connections.
