I ordered this product lat summer. I amm an elderly woman who is full time caregiver for even more elderly invalid mother. Today I finally had someone to help me install this jack to support the floor that is sagging under our bathtub. We have no idea how easy or difficult installation is or how sturdy it is because when we opened the box...MOST OF THE PARTS WERE MISSING! Only the two outer poles were in the box. No inner screw jack part. No end plates. No hardware. Only giving one star because no or negative stars are not options. Unfortunately padt refund deadline so 2 old women on Social Security are out $145.

Worked well for my situation. Stone wall was removed to the side of an older fireplace and new support needed to be put in place to support brick chimney.

Versatile floor jack post for the price.
I've included a schematic of the jack plate, in case it's helpful to anyone. For my application, I wanted to cast bolts into concrete using a simple jig. Knowing the bolt hole pattern was necessary for that.
The top and bottom plates are 5" x 4" outer diameter with holes on a 3.5" x 2.125" pattern. Openings are oblong for the 2.125" dimension, so there's adjustment available. At 0.44", it should fit 3/8" fasteners just fine, or go for 5/16" fasteners and wide washers for adjustability.

I used two jack posts to hold up the roof of my balcony while I replaced rotted lumber including one vertical support post. There was never a moment I felt unsafe, as the Tiger Brand Super S Series 8' 4" jack posts worked flawlessly. The investment was definitely worth it, in terms of personal safely and in facilitating the lumber replacement.

I needed to take out a wall to open up my work shop and have more usable floor space. Using 2 of these Jack Posts made the job so easy and quick, After taking the pegboard down on both sides, I added four 2X12 12 feet long by nailing one on each side to the studs and another to each of these. Then I bolted all 4 together with 3 3.4 inch bolts.I then placed the jacks under each end of the new beam and snugged it up and then a little more. Using a reciprocal saw, I cut out the studs flush with the beam and pulled them out of the bottom wall plate. the main shop area was a one car garage and had a 2 inch drop to make it easy to wash out and there was a concrete ledge poured for the wall plate to sit. After the studs and plate were pulled out, an angle grinder with a concrete blade made it easy to cut the ledge out of the way. In less than a day, I was able to double my open work space and without the Jack Post, It would have been much more difficult and dangerous. And,the Jack Post's are there forever as the support for the wall.

I bought 12 of these to hold one side of my house up while I replaced the supporting beams- which had termite damage. They worked very well. One thing I did notice is that the end plates bent a little on the ones that held a lot of weight. The plates could be thicker- but it still worked and a great product for a really good price.

Very useful
The jack post was used in conjunction with other jacks to raise a ceiling from within a house before placing a new support beam in place. I was able to raise the interior ceiling 1.5 inches where it had sagged over the years. I accomplished this with no damage to the sheet rock textured ceiling.

Make a very useful Forewood stacking system
Using two treated landscape timbers, two treated 8' 2x4 studs, and two cinder blocks you can make a very stable firewood stacking system that will keep your firewood off of the ground. If built out in the open, a tarp can be draped over the 2x4s to keep the rain off of your logs and still allow for air circulation to dry out your wood.

Posted up, taking a load off...
As a state licensed builder, I find this product simple to install with easy directions (pay attention to whether it is used to support metal or wood), and it simply handles it's business. Secure and solid, it holds up no matter how many times I bash into it (funny how the places you need these for are always in the most inconvenient places, i.e. The middle of my basement wood shop). Even comes painted up with scratch resistant durable paint (which is code in my state when used in a basement) which saves me the hassle when I need to install them.

Holds a heavy load, easy to use
We used the jackpost to hold the porch roof up while ,replacing the floor and the old post . It was easy to put the Jackpost in place next to an old post and lift the weight of the roof up so the old post could be easily removed. We raised the jackpost with a wrench

Did Exactly What I Wanted
This product was less expensive than renting from the local rental shop. They (2) held up my patio overhang while I replaced the 4x6 posts. Simple, quick and safe.
