After 4 months of use the wifi feature stopped working. Tried resetting router/modem and tried removing the profile from the app and setting up a new one. Nothing worked.

Never cooled well the after 13 months one month out of warranty started icing up and would not cool at all. My neighbors only lasted 3 months. On other websites the reviews are very poor I questioned these reviews.

1st time buying this ac brand and when you turn it on, its blizzard cold, even on 70' degrees, you might want to grab a thick blanket and yes, i recommend this product. I decided to unscrew 1 bolt from the back of ac in order for the water to drain.

I bought this Toshiba A/C because it was claimed in the product's spec that this unit has a noise rating of 32 dBA which is super quiet. However, the actual noise level is doubled that, I measured 65 dBA which is far from amazing. In fact I would even say advice average noise. Returning this unit due to fraudulent advertisement.

you will need to mount to a inner wall to maximize potential; i don’t consider it noisy at all perhaps due to placement. I’m happy thus far and it’s enough for a living room. With the energy savings rating as claimed we will note when energy bill arrives.

Works great & cools 2 rooms nicely. Comes with side panels & they told me they didn't. Easy to put together and install.

We purchased this window unit because this summer has been brutally hot! Our central air conditioner has been running non stop and still struggles to cool the house completely. We installed this in our living room area where we have a fireplace and vaulted ceiling. Really helps keep this large room cool. Remember to open the front and keep the filter clean. Also, keep the "fresh air" option button closed in the summer or bugs will get in through that opening outside.

This was my last big purchase before moving in with my son to file disability and my ac unit has stopped working properly I can't go with out ac my brain condition will make me have a heat stroke

I like Toshiba and I Like this AC unit, works Beyond great so far had it for a Month now and I love it yes it's Noisy but as Long as it's Icy cold in my Room definitely have no complaints, but yes it's Noisy and I'd recommend a different U Shaped Unit if noise is a Concern! I put This unit through a Wall and it fit perfect I really like this AC unit looks so cool and works Great, definitely would like less noise!

AC works as expected. But I’m going to need to wrap the whole unit with screening to keep the bees and bugs from nesting in the unit. Horrible design for something that goes outdoors. That’s a problem with ordering online.

I've had this unit for a little over 2 months. I really like it. It cools the room quickly. I''m in a 500 sq.ft. efficiency and it is perfect for this room. I do wish the lowest fan setting was a little quieter, but it's not overwhelming. At night I put it on ECO mode and it comes on and off and keeps the room cool. Perfect for sleeping or watching tv. I really appreciate how easy it is to clean the filter and unit cover. The cover comes completely off, unlike many other units I've had. This makes it easy to clean. The fact that I can monitor the unit with my iPhone is pretty cool too. My only problem with that is that my Wi-Fi signal fluctuates and sometimes I can only look at the readings and not make any changes, but, when the signal is strong I can lower the temperature from anywhere I'm at and have the room cool before I get home. Pretty neat and it saves money too. Oh, and it was easy to install it into a wall. It doesn't have to be a window unit.

Very quiet, looks very clean and modern, cools great. Will freeze you out of our 30x15 master bedroom. Love Toshiba!

Pretty straightforward installation! Its got us cooler than the large unit. Love that it cycles on and off when it reaches the predetermined temps.

Unit cools very well, maybe even too well. Bought 10k BTU size for a 350 sq ft bedroom in an older house that is poorly insulated and because Texas summer heat can be brutal. Probably could’ve gotten away with an 8k BTU size unit for this bedroom but the worst of August summer heat isn’t here yet. This unit is super loud though, even on the lowest fan speed sounds like a jet engine in the window and yes we mounted it correctly such that there’s virtually no vibration being transmitted to the window frame, the loudness is purely the fan noise only. A quick informal test using a sound meter app on an iPad shows 69.2 db average over one minute at approximately six feet away with fan running at lowest speed and the compressor running too, which you can barely hear the compressor at all, that part is very smooth and quiet. All in all I’m happy with the unit, it cools exceedingly well and moves a lot of air. The wifi+smartphone app doesn’t seem ready for prime time either but every brand of “smart WiFi “ window air conditioner on the market seems to be struggling with that also, maybe someday the app software bugs will be fixed with an update but you can read all about that on your smartphone App Store . This A/C is a solid well made unit, Just consider the possibility of loud fan noise if you’re gonna put it in a bedroom.

I bought this product in the week of Jult 15th and I have to say I love it. I had a smaller one same brand Toshiba bt it wasn't doing it for me. This one is bigger so it cools down my kitchen plus living room. I have not received the bill yet for electricity im hoping its not to high.

The Fresh Air Vent Control has sunlight coming in all around it while in the closed vent position. The little metal square that's supposed to keep the outside air out doesn't even fill the opening it is made for. Also there are some microscopically thin strips of styrofoam, that I guess are supposed to be the total amount of insulation between the louvers and the outside world. They are all crumpled, so are not doing any insulating now and they definitely won't be doing any this winter, as I stare now at the outside light and 91° air coming in, while it is set on vent 'closed'.

I am very please with this unit. I installed this unit in a room around 1 oclock in the after noon in the peak heat of the day . It only took me about 15 mins.to install the unit so I plugged it in once i got it in the window and then finish installing the slider plates in . I walk the when I finish and the whole room was freezing cold. I give this unit 2 thumbs up and if I had to purchase another 1 it would definitely be a Toshiba

Easy installation and the instructions were very easy to follow even though they were "generic" instructions for multiple models. Unit is much quieter than our old one and vibration isolation is excellent. An option for a better air-filter would have been nice though.

I recently purchased this item and the AC stops working from time to time. It's caused me to have uncomfortable sleep. I'm probably going to return the AC for a simpler unit.

(Almost 1 month after install) Got my AC delivered 3 days before expected day. Easy to install (1 person that can lift 60lbs) Gets the room cool quick (I went with 10k btu for a 400sq foot apartment living room/kitchen). Looks clean and sleek. Remote control is good (but small and easy to lose). Smart app (android) doesn't work at all, needs a full rework cause it hasn't worked in a long time according to the reviews on Play store. The device doesn't connect to wifi. Blades don't really do much for directing air flow, pretty flimsy. You WILL hear it on High setting, but you also will be in a nicely cooled room. I tend to keep it on low fan and its tolerable.

This A/C is fabulous! It is relatively quiet and very effective at cooling a large open space. We live in an 1820's farmhouse and were worried we would not be able to find an energy efficient air conditioner that could fit in a small window and still do a good job cooling down a large space quietly. This unit does it all. We are very happy with this purchase. We took the wings off and it fit in a 21" window. It does not dim the lights or blow the circuits. These are all things of concern living in an older house. It is a little pricier than other models, but well worth it. I highly recommend it. FYI: We placed the unit on folded rubber matting designed for shelf liners and that cut the vibrations down, as well.

Bought to replace a 20 year old AC. Using in an open concept appox 325 sq ft living space/dining room. Installed on a 90 degree hot humid NJ day. cooled room totally within 10 minutes, felt immediate relief. Husband installed said it was easy maybe took half hour? does need to be screwed in front of the window, ours is a newer plastic framed style (screws two on either end, one in the middle, shown in photo). We just supported the unit on the outside with two pieces 2x4 of wood stacked, didn't need a bracket. Powerful for size and not too large for the window. I like that I can direct the air up and down and side to side in any direction. We are using on low fan, cool, 72 degrees setting, and that is cold enough. NOTE there is a tab in front for vent feature that you pull in and out. closed provides the coolest setting. there is also a fresh air, open vent, and it has a dehumidifier capacity - a DRY setting. NJ gets very humid in the summer, so love that feature. I like that it cleans and can dehumidify the air with special settings. I used ECO setting at night seems to work well. Has nice features, sleep mode, programmable, ECO energy saver. Noise to me is normal level, quieter than my 20 year old clunker :) . We have not tried to hook up the wifi yet. Overall very pleased. I would recommend this air conditioner. We were trying to decide between an 8,000 and 10,000 BTUs. I would buy the smaller for a bedroom. For our purpose the 10,000 was the perfect a choice. It cools the entire downstairs, more than we hoped for. Design is nice with an unusual interesting front, easy to clean filter just easily slides out for cleaning. I saw some people complain about plastic and foam interior, all new A/C units are designed this way for this price. $379. I would recommend it

Great AC unit, easy to install and set up by following the Smart AC user manual. It's quiet and keeps my entire open concept first floor comfy. LOVE the smart option, I turn it on in my way home and the temperature is perfect. It feels like a central AC unit.

It was easy to install and produces the cool necessary when you live in southern Louisiana. Our temperatures range from 89 to high 90s all summer, until the end of October. Thanks to my Toshiba we don't feel the heat at all. Runs very quietly and is energy efficient. I will always shop Home Depot !

Great air conditioner, easy to install. But did not. Get instructions so had to call to mail me some, still can’t figure how to hook up Alexa to it. But the unit itself is great, I can work it off my phone too

someone gave a review here, the name is Steve and he said "Our son tried to connect it to his cell phone, there were four steps in doing so. The first three worked and the fourth one stopped at 90 percent. So he never got it to connect. That may just be the wireless signal strength." Well Steve, it was not the signal strength. I have a 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz Wi-Fi Cable Modem and I accessed the Toshiba AC through the 2.4 GHz because the manual said it won't work on 5 GHz band and I also saw that, "The first three worked and the fourth one stopped at 90 percent". In other words, the Phone control of this AC DOESN'T WORK. My background? HP electronics repair tech system voltmeter expert, 5 years radiation detection equipment repair tech so I like to think I know what I'm doing when it comes to connecting this AC to the Wi-Fo modem BUT ... maybe I don't know so "hey, Toshiba ... why won't your AC connect through my 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi cable modem? try to contact Toshiba and see if you get a response (I didn't) If you want a 10K BTU 115W AC unit and don't need the phone through Wi-Fi control then this AC is a good buy and definitely cosmetically looks the best of any AC window unit I've seen to date.
