[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sensor is a very great feature to the grill. I have a Traeger 575 PRO grill. It is easy to calibrate. It posts it to your WIFI phone. When you do a many hour cook it is essential as it alerts your phone if pellets are low. It is as essential as the other great features the grili WIFI has. I just did a 13 hour smoke / cook a 13# prime rib roast. It came out great. I had, by the pellet sensor 50% of my pellets left.

This handy little sensor was so easy to install and it keeps me having to constantly check on my pellet level. Just an awesome addition. Love how it ties into the electronics and provides the levels through the app. Game Changer!!!

Great add on to manage the pellets

The repair crew came and installed the pellet sensor but when we went to use the grill showed no sensor detected

The sensor is easy to change put if there is a problem with it. It seems to keep a accurate level of the pellets in the hooper.

This works like it is supposed to at the grill, however it won't connect to my phone

Pros: Easy to install, connect and calibrate; great to have a low alarm. Cons: Calibration seems to result in alarming when bin is about 40-50% full. I expected to alarm around maybe 20%. Sensor is still worth purchasing.

I actually found a slightly used pellet sensor on FB marketplace and found it to be a great addition for wifi cooking and convenience. You must remember the unit is a proximity sensor and apparently aimed at the auger port. It's not going to map out the entire surface region of the pellet box and calculate the overall pellet quantity. Experience will guide you at interpreting your actual pellet remaining condition.

Easy to setup just be careful and don’t drop a screw in the auger. Works very well with the app. Easy to calibrate.

Doesn’t really work that well. My hopper will be full and it says it’s low and when it gets to 70% it says empty. I love all of the Traeger products I’ve used and I’ve used a lot of them but not a huge fan of this one.

Awesome feature, helps a lot when you're not around to tend to your grill. I did a 16 hour brisket and already gauged how the sensor is calibrated.

I bought this as a gift for my son in law. He was very excited to receive it! I rated it a 5 for his enthusiasm, but I can’t speak about how well it works. We just gave it to him two days ago.

having the pellet sensor is very useful but yet another example of Treager nickel and diming you, this should 100% be built into the grill and come standard. I ran out of pellets mid cooking shortly after getting my grill and could not believe this feature did not come standard.

It's not perfect but it's a good tool to have I think the accuracy could be improved on a little

Pellet sensor is not necessary, waste of $, all you need to do is look in the box before turning it on or while using it

This sensor does not fit my traeger grill ,it only fit the gen 2 grill,extremely misleading

Disappointing that this isn’t included on their “pro” series. I’m new to the smoking scene and so far love my Traeger and everything I’ve got for it but but feel like I’m being nickeled and dimed when I have to buy these things separate.

Came with my grill, nice option but annoying. Wish it could be adjustable to a lower level. Once pellets are just below the grate it alerts you. Should alert when you have say a 1/4th of hopper left or a couple of hours of burn time left. Perhaps a mute / ignore option.

Should be included with the Pros… it’s literally prewired and ready… oh and the body of the thing is plastic… It does work well, I’m just a little bitter

Easy to install - works as described. Great to not ever run out of pellets in the hopper.

Very easy to install, and automatically is added to app readout. Only design flaw is it reads directly over the auger, so it reports low pellets “too early” when there are still a lot of pellets in the overall hopper. Otherwise a very good product.

The pellet sensor did exactly what it was supposed to do. We are very happy with this purchase.
