Brand new pro 575, cooked several times (pizza, burger, steak, ribs) and all took too long. Was trying to get used to it before spending time with longer cook. None turned out well so I bought an oven thermometer and sure enough the grill was saying it was 50-75 degrees hotter than the actual temp. I'm in Hawaii so the outside temp isn't the problem. The meat probe is also reading that as well. Wish I would have noticed that earlier but didn't need a probe on those cooks until checking the steak. Called customer service and was told I'll be getting a call back and I'm not the first to have the issue. Doesn't sound very promising at this point. May have to exchange it for another that doesn't have the issue or just return it.

With a set temp at 200 or less it runs at 110. I’m sure it’s a simple matter but I’ve called Traeger four times and been on hold for 15 minutes each time without getting through to anyone. I’ll be returning it and going with a different product. I don’t think it’s reasonable to spend this kind of money on a toy and then have to chase down the manufacturer to get them to make it work right

Buyer beware. Stay away from this grill. I have two of them at my house and neither of them function.I bought my first grill a week or two before Labor Day. It worked twice. The third time resulted in the temp going to 450 instead of stopping at the temp I set. I shut down and restarted the grill several times with the same result. Then, I worked the problem with Traeger Customer Service only to be told that it needed a new part that I would have in about one week. When nothing arrived and I heard nothing from Traeger, I reached out. I was told that I didn't receive the part because it was back-ordered and would not arrive for more than a month. Upon my protest, Traeger agreed to send me a replacement grill...which I greatly appreciated. The grill was delivered and I put it together. I followed the instructions for the initial start-up (seasoning), and guess what happened. The temp went straight to 450 again. Same problem but now Traeger's Customer Service communications have been limited to auto replies telling me that they received my correspondence. No substantive response. It looks like legal action will be necessary to resolve this mess.

Purchased a 575 in May. After several cooks that took way too long got a separate ambient temp sensor and verified that the displayed temp of the grill was 30% higher than the actual temp in the barrel. Max temp achievable is 360 degrees. Measured at multiple locations within the grill. Called Traeger customer service several times and was given a line about an average temp. Returned unit and exchanged for another 575. Same problem. Actual temp 30% lower than displayed temp. Called Traeger customer service and was sent a replacement controller. Replacement controller did not resolve problem. Waiting for replacement temp sensor but back ordered to end of July. Traeger customer service denies that there is an issue, but reviews on home depot, complaints with BBB, problems documented on Traeger Owners facebook page and Traeger owners forum indicate otherwise. If you are considering a 575, think twice and do your online researched. A large number appear to have this problem and Traeger will not acknowledge.

Used for a month now and everything comes out undercooked. Use a shop vac to clean out each time. Finally verified that actual temp at maximum 450 degrees set point is less than 380. Called Traeger last week and was told they “might” be able to refer me to a local service center but would have to check. Never heard back from them. The Traeger Pro 575 is a rinky dink waste of time and money and Traeger the company isn’t any better.

Cooks great. So far no smoke flavor at all. "Somked" a Chicken today with hickory pellets for three hours and no smoke flavor at all. Can't sear a stake. It's new so maybe I need to work on it some more. Just not sure it's worth it or should have gone with a Webber.

I love smoking meat but I am really lazy. Baby-sitting a smoker is too high maintenance for me. With this WiFi Traeger, I can take a nap and the grill sends a message to my smartphone alerting me when the meat is done. I actually turned the grill temp down whilst standing in line at the DMV.

I've owned this grill for about 5 weeks. I bought it for the Wifire system that lets you control the temperature from your phone. Overall, the Wifire systems is ok at best. Sometimes it connects; sometimes it doesn't. Traeger may be able to fix that in the app. The bigger problem is temperature control. The grill doesn't reach the advertised temperatures. It also reports the wrong internal temperature. The front display tells me the grill is at 235, but a 3rd party probe tells me its at 190. When my grill says 450, my probe says its at 380. Those are pretty significant variations that can negatively impact a cook. The whole purpose of buying a Traeger 575 is to be able to control the temperature. I've been on the phone numerous times with Traeger and completed all of steps they told me to with no improvement. Find another smoker.
