  • Thrilled with my flooring - 14th room I've done myself!

I love the way this flooring feels and looks and the ease of installation. This is the fourth color I've used (Alpine Elm. Others were Hamilton Oak, Sapelli Red, Golden Maple) All are beautiful. Just need a yardstick (metal), 12 inch ruler (metal) a box cutter, a pencil and heavy duty Scissors. There are some tricks I've learned along the way, but all in all, it's a fun project and looks like wood. I'm happy that I didn't have to spend 10K for hardwood floors - I think I spent about 1/4 the cost by using Allure. Easy to care for, too. I can use regular cleaners like 409. I've cleaned up a dog mess recently - no problem. I don't see significant scratching, either. Really, I'm a woman in my 60s and enjoy putting in these floors. Sometimes I do it all right away, sometimes I don't feel like finishing immediately, and it's fine to do a little bit over a few days. I only wish that HD stocked more colors so I didn't have to order and wait.

Pros Good Wood, Feels Like Wood, High Quality of Material, Looks Like Wood, Easy to Clean, Sturdy, Comfortable, Great Accent, Easy to Install, Looks Great, Looks High End, Modern, Effective, fun to install Cons the instructions could be better

Using a slide paper cutter, scissors, a knife, and pliers, I laid 600 ft.² of this flooring and I am 63 years old. I had to lay it over an acoustic flooring, which was very uneven. It was up to the challenge. I found it tedious, of course, but so worth it in the end. This flooring goes down, beautifully, is easy to cut and the end result is beyond belief. It is so easy to clean. My condo looks brand-new.

I like the texture of the vinyl and it was fairly easy to put down. We did put a very thin layer of self-lever down first per instructions, as previous glue was present. First time installer so the first boards had a small gap then we figured out how to get them tighter. See picture of color - I ordered a lot of different colors to see which one looked best. Be warned if you do this - they are super heavy boxes that you'll have to lug back to the store for the colors you don't want. We chose White Maple, which is the second from the left, since it was the lightest in a no-window bathroom. From right to left in the pic: Home Decorators - Heavenly Oak (no grip strip) Allure - White Maple Home Decorators - Crystal Oak (no grip strip) Allure - Canadian Hewn Oak (loved this color because of the white grain) Allure - Alpine Elm (left most, yellow tone)

I just installed this on Sunday. I have an oddly shaped kitchen, so I had to do some mathematical prep, but, start to finish, it probably took my friend and me only three and a half hours to get almost three boxes of planks cut and laid. It's beautiful, and the raised "grain" makes it all the more realistic looking. I'm so happy with it. I'd read other reviews online which said that there was no instruction book, but my boxes had a book in each one, and I found the instructions QUITE clear, and well-written.

We used this flooring in our kitchen and absolutely love it! It was very easy to install, it is easy to clean, and it's very durable. With a 6 year old boy and a big dog, I wasn't sure how it would hold up, but it's very resilient. There are no scratches on it anywhere. For the price and how long it will last, I feel it was a smart purchase. We are going to use it in our bathrooms as well.

  • Best flooring Decision I Ever Made

This is such beautiful flooring and is so easy to install. When you walk barefoot on it, you feel the grain. I could not find any flooring in this driftwood grey color except this and now I have every room in my house floored with it. I have 2 large dos and they do not hurt the flooring and they do not skid on the flooring. I steam mop it every week and it looks brand new. This is the best flooring I have ever used. It will always be my go to floor, even if I change my color scheme.

I purchased this product because it is a floating floor that is easy to install. Since the area is small, the price wasn't unattainable. Ideally, I would have liked to have a nice tile or wood, but those options would have required a little more work to prep the flooring, and I don't have that kind of time or money. I laid the flooring down myself, and I'm happy with it so far. I won't be able to judge the durability until some time has gone by. It is currently in my kitchen, and my thought was that, since it is floating, some day I can just lift it all out without much hassle. The photo is a work in progress. Thank you!

I used this product on a 16X20 footprint in an old sheep barn that I am slowly renovating into my art studio. The old slab was uneven and heaved in areas because of the cold winters. This product is as forgiving as any product could be dealing with those perameters. It is free floating, moisture impervious and easy enough to install if you have a plumb line. Both in my studio and inside the main house bathroom which is the photo you see, the floors are not perfectly even and a bit sloped. The adhesive bonds super quick so make sure to have as close to on end as you connect one to the other and so on. Flooring, New toilet, and New Vanity in photo all for under $200 and the bathroom has a new lease on life. Home Depot a pleasure to do business with every time and they stand by their products.

  • Easy Installation
  • November 19, 2011

I first examined the product at my local Home Depot before purchasing because the colors are not anything like what you see online. The installation process was easy enough for one person with minimal skills and the proper tools. A strait edge, tape measure and a box cutter is all I needed to install this product. I purchased an extra box just in case I would need it. It took me three hours to install in a 100 square foot area because I took my time and made sure that every line was plumb/even. Be sure to keep your work area clean as you go because getting anything on the sticky edge or under the planks will not allow it to sit right. The product will be slippery when wet so be sure to put down a throw rug for wet shoes. The product is very resilient (no scratches from the animals and dirty shoes). I think the product is priced right and is much better priced than tile/vinyl/wood and much easier to install.

  • Ridiculously Easy to Install, Looks Fabulous

This is the best flooring ever. It only took us a day to install 900 sq ft — and I know this might sound crazy — but it was actually fun. The planks were easy to cut (we used a utility knife and some tin snips) and fitting them together was like making one giant sticker. I'd recommend this stuff to anyone, especially DIY'ers who might have gotten a little in-over-their-heads when it comes to flooring. This was the perfect solution and well worth every single penny.

Pros Very Adhesive, High Quality of Material, Looks Like Wood, Easy to Clean, Sturdy, Comfortable, Easy to Install, Looks Great, Looks High End, Modern, Effective Cons faint vinyl smell after installation, confusion: underlayment requirement for concrete?
