The glaze is cracked and sedimented with white minerals. The teal color looks almost white.

Hi Kate, thank you for sharing your experience. The white sediment could be a reaction to high mineral content in the water used to water your plant or soluble salts in fertilizer that may have been used. The minerals seep through the clay and cause the white build-up. There are a number of online sites that offer tips on how to remove the white sediment.

Great for indoor plants!!
This planter is really beautifully made. It comes with an attached saucer and drain hole to prevent overwatering. I put on somemfet pads underneath the planter to prevent scratching in whatever surface I put the planter on. Looks really good!!

Thank you for your comment regarding condensation. We recommend adding protection underneath ceramic pots to protect furniture and other delicate surfaces. It could be a cork coaster, or other product made specifically for this purpose. Should water overflow at watering time, having that layer of protection will also come in handy.
