I am rating this low on two grounds: the cooktop was so noisy we would not want to have it around. We have a Bosch induction cook top that is quiet. that's what we want and expect. Also, the True Induction has something loose inside suggesting poor quality control. It went back and HomeDepot was helpful.

I was shipped an obviously used product it had caulk on the underside and used tape and package was taped over old tape. In addition there were two loose pieces of metal shaking around inside. The distributor wanted to charge me shipping charges to send a new one out but then changed their mind and said they’d just ship a new one. However I found some horrid reviews of this product on another site and decided to just return it and not get another. Because I’m not into house fires or cutting my countertop to fit a product that will only work for a few weeks.
