Good quality, able to chip away ice without to much effort. Not as heavy as it looks.

This shovel for the price should be a workhorse. Instead, it grabs the snow and doesn't let go. I found myself fighting to beat the snow off after every scoop. Double the work. People say use different kinds of spray but for the price, I think it should be designed better.

Much nicer than the warped, twisted plastic shovels on the shelf next to it. Built TruTemper strong, and its American made.

Great idea for a shovel. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is it is heave for older folks!!

I just purchased this shovel today and I already plan on returning it. I knew it was heavy when I bought it but was surprised how much heavier it became as I used it. This was because the snow started to freeze to the metal and accumulated rapidly. I had to strike the shovel several times on the driveway to knock the frozen snow off the blade. I will be going back to a plastic style snow shovel.

Shovel bent after 3 uses when I got stuck on a chunk of ice ... its a nice shovel but not that strong

It seems better built than the cheap plastic ones. We’ll see how it looks after a month of use. Hopefully buying this in February means it won’t snow again.

Way more proficient then the cheap aluminum one from last year. Broke up the ice without any difficulty.

I bought one of these and it broke within 2 hours of starting to use it. The way the handle is attached to the shovel is not robust. A pair of sheet metal screws tapped into the wall of the handle tube is all that holds it together. If you look closely, you'll notice that the aluminum part of the scoop that the handle shaft goes into has a split in it. When trying to pick up snow heavier than fresh powder, this split flexes open and puts a lot of tension on the sheet metal screws which are not adequate for the job. The result is the screws stripping out and the split in the handle mount widening until it breaks. It really needs something like a hose clamp around this portion to prevent the load from going into the flimsy screw connection.
