I bought these to put in my apartment windows to help with the summer heat and my electric bill. It works! My bill is down and apartment is much cooler. Wish I'd purchased sooner!

Great product without fiberglass has a R factor but lesser than fiberglass I have an inside wall so less important. They should stock this alternative to fiberglass.

No issues with sizing for a 40 gallon tank. It fit beautifully!

You need to add at least 4 inches to the actual circumference of your water heater for the needed size. Also, this product is very short, and leaves the bottom 10 inches unwrapped. I am returning it.

Didn’t fit my 40 gallon water heater. There’s about a 4inch gap where the seams should meet. It’s the right height though. It’s good and thick.

The thought of it being shredded fabric was great to me, rather than a fiberglass component. Was a little messy to work with, but over all we're very pleased with the out come.

It covered my 39 gallon electric water heater completely, with nothing left over. There's no itchy, dusty fiberglass to deal with. It is a couple inches shorter than stated. You'll need heavy duty scissors to cut it, plus much more tape to really seal it good. For those reasons, I gave it 4 stars.

Great product. Much safer than fiberglass. Was no problem to work with. very strong shell. Might need 2 for larger water heaters. This model is made for a residential 50 gallon tall water heater, this project came out like artwork!. This is the safest and best performing blanket on the market, way-to-go Home Depot.

I was impressed with this blanket. I had a struggle getting it around my water heater because of tight space, but I succeeded without damaging the blanket at all. Pretty amazed at that. The included foil tape was more than enough for the job. I would definitely recommend.

After enclosing the condominium porch, where the water heater is located, the heat loss from the water heater had to be reduced as part of my effort to reduce the air conditioning load. This is an outstanding product that fully enveloped the thirty gallon low profile water heater. However small, I look forward to savings on water heating and air conditioning.

We wanted something "healthier" than the old fiberglass style of water heater blankets. The fact that these are basically made from jeans was a huge advantage. Like the company video says - you can pretty much wrap yourself up in it and use it as a blanket if you wanted to! The installation was pretty straight forward, just take your time as it can get a little fiddly. There is plenty of silver tape in the package, and it has held really well from day one. The blankets fit great on our water heaters (we have a dual system) Our water heaters are in an unfinished utility closet in the basement, so I also took the time to purchase three, 6 foot sections of foam insulation and wrap the pipes to/from the water heaters. In between the blankets and the pipe insulation, our utility bill dropped $20 over the next month! I would definitely would recommend this to anyone!

After instating this heater blanket all I can say is, it’s unbelievable how easy it was to install. It fit my hot water heater perfectly even though I had to work in a very close corner. I did invest in some waterproofing tape to put around the top to cover the inside insulation. It just look better to me.

It did not cover the entire heater,but,so far,the blanket is doing what has to be done in protecting.

I used these blankets to insulate my 18 foot wide by 8 foot high garage door. It was easy to cut and install (using Liquid nails) and has made about 10 degree difference in the internal temp. My door faces West and would reach 103 degrees in the late PM and temps in the garage were uncomfortable. Now they run just over 92 but with the 6000 BTU air con I can maintain temps around 89 with lo humidity. attic insulation is next. Door is much quieter now.

Good quality but I have not been able to get it on my water heater tank yet. It is just one big slab and I have to cut it strategically so that it can go around the metal holder.

The tape that was supplied with the blanket did not hold. Otherwise, the blanket was easy to cut and install around my water heater.

I have a 30 gal. electric water heater and it measures 60 inches around and 72 inches from floor to top of heater. This unit could be tall enough if applied to the height, but would leave an open gap around the girth which would kill the purpose of insulating! I am a retired State Energy Analyst for two States. Recycling is a Super Idea but, what one makes from it, must fit the need! This doesn't!

It is a solid product that did the job. Only issue is that it did not come with enough tape. Hopefully we will have new president soon and this product works for you.

I'm sure the product will help keep the hot water heater insulated. My issue was it wasn't wide enough on my 40 gal gas heater which is 48" in height. There was a 1 inch gap. If the blanket was material from the top just 2 inches wider it would be perfect. I had already cut some from the top.

Fit my large water heater with room to spare. Looks much better than the fiberglass blanket it replaced. The included 3" wide aluminum tape made installation very easy and looks good.

Extra thick blanket, I use it to insulate my snowblower cab.

Kind of tough to cut with scissors but that's not a knock on the product. I didn't think I needed a water heater blanket because the outside of my heater felt cold and I assumed it was already well insulated but I took a chance anyway. After installing it I felt behind the blanket and it was quite warm. In the unheated area of my basement my water heater actually was losing a considerable amount of heat. Not anymore.

Hard to install, looks like crap, tape supplied very difficult to use, instructions were crap.

the hot water denim insulation blanket is a great product. The adhesive back tape that comes with the product is useless. I ended up using the tape supplied by home depot for the product that you wrap around your home before applying siding. (tyveck) ?
