I got this floor scraper thinking it was like a flat hoe, it is not, the long handle scraper has a thin stainless steel, razor blade like blade. I tried it, and it worker for the floor job I had to do. The thin blade was strong enough to get under the carpet tile and remove it with multiple scrapes. I then had to scrape away the old glue. It did that too. It also had a cushioned end on the handle. I am impressed with it, I have added it to my tool rack

The product is well made with a long handle with 4" blade at one end. The product worked well for scraping stuff from a cement floor. However, it could easily damage wood floor as the blade edge is very sharp. The product came with dull edge of the blade installed and it had a plastic cover over it for protection. The protective cover is designed with two tabs (one at each end) as shown in the pictures and to remove it one has to push these tabs "out" while sliding the cover out. I found it difficult (I am in my 70's) to remove the protective blade cover with my hands. Actually, it was more difficult to slide the cover back on because you have to push two tabs (one at each edge) while pushing the cover in. With sharp blade edge exposed this can easily injure someone. While it is made that way to prevent kids from getting cut but seniors might find it hard to remove /reinstall it without risking injuries.

Save your money - buy a putty knife and some knee pads instead. This tool is hot garbage.

Might work for normal carpet. I ripped up carpet in the garage from the former owner that parked the car on it. It broke within seconds. I got a different scrapper that work.

Exactly what I wanted

Used this tool to scrape away tile glue from plywood subfloor. It didn't scrape away all the glue, but smothed out all the protruding bits. The scraper is sturdy enough, the blade is sharp, it has two edges (you flip it by unscrewing two screws, like in an exacto knife), the handle is firm, made of steal, but I would have preferred it to be a foot longer (I'm 6'1", my back hurts like crazy). One edge of the blade made it through 400 sq.ft, but lost about 50% of it's edge due to chipping - it was catching on some protruding nails. For $15 you can't go wrong with this china-made scraper.

Replacement blades were missing

No thx. Thought product was a bit pricy. Item was returned for a less expensive handheld floor scraper (QEP 4in. Floor and Wall Razor Scraper with 5.25 in. Handle and Stainless Steel Blade) which could be used with a threaded pole allowing a similar extended reach capability.

This scraper makes really quick work of scraping my deeper pigeon enclosures where I can't reach the back without climbing inside. In the winter and pouring rain it's difficult to clean outdoor bird enclosures regularly. This scraper goes right underneath hard thicker buildup and just dozes it right off instantly with it's sharp edges. Perfect for me. Worth every penny

Works well. The blade stays put the protective cover cracked pretty quickly.
