While the unit was fairly easy to install, the performance was lackluster. VELUX was absolutely no help. Thankfully, the basic unit was the same as the rigid tunnel, and the local Home Depot manager accepted the unit for exchange. I replaced it with a rigid tunnel. MUCH Better. The light kit was a challenge to install in the rigid tunnel, and I can imagine it would be a nightmare in the flex. Unless you simply have no other choice, I would avoid this product.

I love our sun tunnels. And on moonlit nights, you can pretend to be on the starship Enterprise. I do need to know how to clean out the bugs. I say the review on why I am getting the bugs and understand what I need to do to stop the bugs. BUt how do I clean them out.

The tunnel lets in a lot of light, we have the 14" flexible, but I have some questions I can't find answers to which concern me. My first is, do these tunnels let in UVA radiation or is there some sort of coating on the product to block those harmful rays? Windows will block UVB but not UVA, and now that I have a hole in my ceiling letting in the sun I'm ultra concerned not only for my furniture and artwork but also my aging skin. I feel like I have to wear sunscreen indoors now. Also, at high noon in the summer the tunnel gets so hot that you can burn your fingers just touching it for a moment. This makes me so nervous about fires, is that a risk? You could literally fry an egg on this thing.

I put two of these Sun Tunnels in a very dark hallway and it completely changed the entire feel of the area. It is now open and airy and the lights at night are great. I could not be happier, and I have a feeling there will be more Velux skylights in the future for me.

We had three of these installed in our new home and we absolutely love them. We had them put in hallways and rooms with no windows and it is awesome to not have to turn lights on when entering these places during the day. I would highly recommend these to anyone!

When it came time for a new roof, we had the Velux Sun Tunnel skylight installed and we absolutely love it! We now have sunlight coming into our dark kitchen all day long. We had an electrician install the Daylight Controller, but have never felt the need to close the skylight.

I made the right decision to replace a new Velux Sun Tunnel Skylihgt in the bathroom. We don't need to turn on the light during the daytime.

Wow what a difference. Our cave bathroom is no longer. It lets in so much light (even on a full moon). Guests often ask how to turn off light and it’s actually natural light. It was the best thing we did for the remodel. Looking to put more in house to lighten up.

Is not as bright as I thought it may make my kitchen to be but it could be because of the roof position relative to the Sun. Overall a good product.

This item gives very little light. I expected it to let in way more sunlight.

we have 3 which were installed this summer. love the light, but this is our first winter with them and we've had condensation in and around the sun tunnels. there is water literally pooled up inside the tubes and we also had water dripping around the tubes during a brief warm up. we have a vaulted ceiling. not sure what the fix is, but our contractor has only suggested turning down the humidity which is already very low, about 20%.

I'm so disappointed. The light feels cold and blue. We have a flexible aluminum tube. Is there some way to make the light warmer?

My local Home Depot showed 3 of these units in stock. They were in large boxes and the store provided help in getting them into my car. My builder started installation and found that there were parts missing for one set. A critical part, it held the flex tube to the lens fixture. He took it back during his lunch break. As he completed the install, he noticed a 2" crack in the lens. I took the part back the day after our first exchange. It would have been easy to swap out the lens from the returned unit. But no, bright and early the returned unit had been shipped out. I waited in line for a harried clerk to find a replacement at another store 25 miles away. The local Home Depot did not offer to have a replacement part sent to me directly. Hence the fair rating.

These are pretty easy to install, and what a difference it has made to our breakfast area, that has always felt like eating in a closet. Now it's bright and inviting... LOVE IT!!

Had one installed in each of the two bathrooms. I don't use the light during daylight hours. So much light comes through.

Very easy to install, did a wonderful job enhancing the light in our dinning room. We bought 2 for a room that is 12' x 18' and they do a remarkable job!

I've probably installed a half dozen of these and the flex duct is so much easier and will bend around wires and rafters in the attic if necessary, I can usually install one in 3 hours or so.

The Sun Tunnel is a tiny tube that brings light into a room, even on a dreary day.

Just installed this in a bathroom that doesn't have a window. It is so bright now, you would think the lights were on. Easy installtion. Make sure to pull the lining down so it is smooth inside the tunnel. Highly recommend.

The skylight was very easy to install. Didn't come with enough reflective tape to afiiix both the bottom and the top edges though. Overall, it's a good skylight. Clean looking, but the diffuser could stand to be a little more transparent, to allow for more light.

Easy to install. Daylight appears blueish at the diffuser as expected. Helps lighten up an otherwise dark area in a hallway.

Lights up both kitchen and bath from dawn to dusk with bright natural light

Our house was not very bright and this investment has paid off in everyway. The light filters in and makes our whole house happy. Before we got VELUX, I would have every light on in the house most of the day, now the sunlight and the moonlight that is filtered are both wonderful. Small investment with maximum return. I can not think of one complaint, not one!!!
