My old skylights were leaking, and it was going to rain more. The replacements were handsome and sturdy. There is a ten-year warranty. I am happy!

The flashing kit for the deck mounted skylight is comprehensive and fairly straight forward for a new installation on virgin decking (new roof). Based on past experience, it is critical that the adhesive roll flashing tape be adhered all the way up to the rim of the vertical sides of the window (per instructions.) FOR REPLACEMENT SKYLIGHTS ON AN EXISTING ROOF or new units on an existing roof, the flashing kit is not so easy. Existing roofing needs to be taken back away from the roof opening and the existing underlayment/sheathing needs to be scrupulously clean of grit and adhesive etc. We had to modify the application of the adhesive with overlapping layers rather than a single roll up application as designed vs removing a substantial portion of shingles and re-roofing/waterproofing. This would likely void any anticipated warranty on installation, although I'm confident in our application and so far, no leaks through winter storms. Prior skylights failed due to adhesive tape flashing not going all the way up to the rim of the vertical edge, so this is important. (took over 10 years, but it rotted all the way through, allowing seepage in the lower corners. (Not visible until the top metal flashing was removed.) The glass seals remained intact, and otherwise the prior skylights (same size VELUX deck mount) were perfectly fine.

this is the flashing kit for the velux skylights .Its a superior product sold only to fit their units! simple to install! best bnb of all using this product you will never have to call your contractor back because of malfunctioning! it keeps the elements out side where they belong and at the same time letting the beautiful light shine in! I highly reccomend this product from the Home Depot store.

These worked perfect, very easy to install yourself with instructions provided, no leaks.

Easy to install & fits just right.

The product is very good and I would have given it 5 Stars if the packaging were better. The instructions were adequate and the components top notch. I ordered 6 kits - 3 arrived damaged. I was able to fix 2 of them but the third was beyond repair. Velux needs to redesign their packaging.

Made skylight install very easy. Flange is a little small, but we made it work. Came with everything shown in the picture and the Directions were easy to follow.

We put 2 of these 3030 curb mount skylights in our breezeway. Of course skylights are great in a breezeway if you can afford them. The Velux units fit correctly, and the flashing kit that comes with them is essential. My general contractor likes them. Good reason that Velux is "the standard". The flat glass is easy to clean. And the clear glass lets in a view of the sky. Nice..

Required for installation as this does not ship with the Velux skylight, which is a pity when you want to get on and finish the job in hand. That appreciated the flashing is easily installed and matches the skylight framing exactly. It has now been in place for over two weeks during which time we've had a few heavy rainstorms and not a sign of a leak, as per the guarantee. There were only a couple of cons, the break lines provided on the saddle flashing to allow for installation on a 3.5 inch curb did not easily fracture, it took a good number of flexings to get the flashing to give and you also have to be careful that the self adhesive underlayment does not make contact with itself or with previously laid pieces before final alignment, it "grabs" almost instantaneously and is the devil to detach and realign!

Window arrived in one piece and fit perfectly where I wanted it. There are no leaks so far and it looks great. I love it!

Velux is the only brand I would buy. Have owned over 15 of them.

Everything I needed for install came & installed great.

Good product. Replaced the old style plastic bubbles I had before and these are much more energy efficient.
