Customer Reviews for VIGO Bathroom Sink Pop-Up Drain with Overflow in Chrome

Looks great but terribly designed. The rubber seals are designed to seal against the threads which just pours water through because the water travels behind the seal along the threads. I had to use a ton of silicone to make it seal. As other people have mentioned, water sits on top and corrodes the pop up drain. Ours looks like this after 1 month.

So far they not only look great but work well.

Needs a redesign. Doing a complete remodel and used the matt black. At the interface of the drain and sink The drain sticks up slightly and doesn't drain leaving a deposit around the drain after repeated uses and drying. See photo. The top is so flat that the water doesn't drain off and when it dries it leaves water deposits after repeated uses. This is on 5 sinks less than 4 month old. It's easily solved if you wipe the sink down after each use ... not convenient or what I had in mind as a 'improvement' with the remodel. Will need to replace. Unfortunately they are past the return date.

I bought this item for my retirement home last Aug. I wasn't able to see it in its place till this April. Can't be happier with its appearance.

Really high guality! Arrived nicely packed and faucet was in its own dust bag! very happy with faucet and pop up drain!

Nice drain bought it to match my existing faucet... lone exception it's designed for a 1.75" PO..so the bevelled washer seal will prove to be very problematic...like in my case. I resolved the problem with a thin bead of plumber putty around opening and the gasket itself, plus I taped the threads and it worked out, no leaks. Other drains I've installed use a flat washer to seal waste area flow making the job much easier and less to think about.

Purchased BOTH, the chrome AND brushed gold faucets + drains + 3-hole covers for separate bathrooms, because they looked SOOOOOO GOOD! I did a ton of searching before choosing VIGO®. Have not installed the chrome one yet (renovating), but included photos of my small guest bath. NOTE: Make SURE the installation hole in your vanity is large enough!!!! My vanity's middle hole (of 3) was not large enough, so I had my tile guy enlarge the vanity's 1" faucet hole to accommodate the VIGO® faucet's 1¼" main stem. WORTH IT!

Our new Vigo drain stopper has only been in a couple of weeks now. It keeps the water in the sink when needed which was a big problem with my old sink plunger. Looks nice, too. Here it is with my new Vigo faucet.

Good product. It is well made and operates well. Installation was easy taking care to ensure overflow holes line up by keeping Vigo logo aligned. After installing there was a very small leak or seepage. Instructions say do not over tighten so thinking I might have I backed the nut off slightly and the seepage turned into a full leak. I then siliconed between the drain and the sink. Some reduction, but still seepage. I contacted Vigo online with details of the sink and drain and two days later received a reply stating that since I had a vessel sink I should have a different drain - one without an overflow. When I advised them that my sink had an overflow they confirmed I had the right drain and asked for photos which I sent. They replied with the photos marked showing where I should apply silicon - between the nut and the washer. I went one step farther and applied silicon between the soft plastic seal and the sink as well. I retightened the nut to the point that I would really have to apply pressure to tighten it further. It worked. It took some time but it really is a smooth functioning, good looking pop-up. Highly recommend applying silicon to every intersection of sink, washers and nuts from the start.

Had a plumber install this single handle VIGO fixture about a month ago. Works great, and looks good.

Time will tell about the durability and quality of this fixture. At first glance, it looks solid and highly functional.

We bought this for our spare bathroom sink. We just had it installed this week. It exceeds our expectations.

For the first time I decided to get a pop up drain that functions by pushing it in the bottom of the sink. The other style has always given problems so I wanted to try a different style. The installation process was much simpler. It has been installed for a month and has worked just fine. The pop up space is large so the water goes down the drain very very well. It is noisy but the water goes down very well so I don’t mind that it is noisy more than any other drain that I had before. My new sinks are deeper, my cabinets are taller, therefore the drain pipes are longer—so that may explain it being noisier. The chrome finish is nice and there was a plastic cap over it to protect during shipping and install. The entire drain is sturdy metal and not plastic.

Very pretty and compliments my Vigo faucet and new sink. It's diameter is larger than envisioned but looks good. The installation needs to be precise - the top screws on and the logo was sideways the first time. I love how easy it is to use, I'll never go back to traditional drain plugs again.

We used this item to finish off the remodel project of our bathroom vanity. Thus equipped, it has gained quite a number of favorable comments from our visitors! The assembly was a straightforward plumbing job. No issues there. The rubbed bronze finish is quite attractive. This matches the innovative tap and the rubbed bronze ring on which the bowl rests (not visible in picture). Pressing the drain pops it down and locks it in position when you want to keep the water in the bowl. Pressing it again will release it, so the water drains. it works as advertized, so we are happy with our purchase. it perfectly complements our remodeled bathroom! We easily ordered this item online and picked up at the friendly customer service of our local Home Depot.

Easy to install and great quality. I like how the top chrome was protected with a film to ensure there are no scratches. Bought online and picked up in the store was really easy too.

Matches the faucet in chrome. Worked a few times, now doesn’t always stay closed. Have to exchange, then get in plumber to remove and put in new one (more expense). This is the second pop up by Vigo that didn’t work properly.

The satin nickel shows water spots and it didn’t even last a year before it stopped functioning. The drain got stuck in the closed position, luckily I could unscrew the top to drain the water.
