Needed to add plumbers putty to sink rim to stop from leaking

The seal going onto the bottom of the sink base is not sufficient and leaks.. Had to get a different one that was rubber as opposed to the plastic one provided.

An easy install. Works as it should and looks good too.

The first one I got installed easily. The second one would not stop leaking until I caulked all the joints with silicone and plumbers putty on drain part.

This pop up drain (infact I have two) is beautiful and it works much better than those pop up drain that operate as part of the faucet.

As others have mentioned, this thing is really badly designed. The silicone seal attempts to seal against the threads, so it leaks through immediately. We had to slather it in silicone for it to seal. Water doesn't drain off the top of the pop up plug so it dries and corrodes the plug. We've had ours installed for less than a month and it already looks like this.

The VIGO logo is righy on the pop up. I dont wanna look at Vigo every time i use the sink. Ruins the design completely.

Initially I really liked the product. I’ve been redoing all of our bathrooms and out of the box this was the sharpest looking drain I’ve purchased. Within a few weeks, however, it started to develop spotting even though this sink is rarely used. I thought it was simply water spotting but on closer inspection I saw the finish was already coming off in spots. I followed the care instructions that came with the product. This shouldn’t happen so quickly. Very disappointing.

Easy to install and works good.

Poor design is difficult to install. Gasket for bottom side of sink wasn’t able to make a swap against the threads of the drain assembly so the drain had small leaks. Drain assembly from a competitor was easier to install and leakproof at despite half the price.

This is just lovely and matches with the VIGO PALOMA black faucet. No extra parts to fuss with and break...simple design....and feels hefty and high quality.

I purchased 2 for my bathrooms. Both leaked in the same spot just below the top of the threads. Had to use silicon to stop the leaks.

Contractor had to come back twice because it leaked

I have to say I ordered this in gold and it’s beautiful! The quality by today’s standards is rather impressive. I would not hesitate to order again! Works as supposed to.

Straight forward installation instructions and great look!

I purchased this and it looks great until I noticed that it says VIGO etched onto the top of the part you push down to fill up the bowl with water. So unless you want to look at the name VIGO every time you wash your hands, this is not for you. Its etched in and can not be removed. It can barely be seen in any of their product pics. Deal breaker, waste of my time. You have been warned. I gave 1 star as it required me to choose something.

Ordered this online and received it quickly. It was put in without any issues and looks great in our new bathroom.

Not needed, returned it

Used teflon tape on threads (three rounds at each level) until the brass nut meets the tube and tightened nut using a wrench (hand tight left a leak). Did not use any caulk or plumbers putty. After that no leaks. Its been a week... we shall see if it holds. First time DYIer first time installing sink drain.

I love the functionality of the pop up drain. I bought this to replace plastic drain that came with my new faucet. The only issue is installation instructions are not clear causing the pop up logo “Vigo” facing the wrong direction. My advise “mock” it before installing! Place drain without adhesive you plan to use, screw top where pop up should be facing. Hold the drain underneath basin and unscrew pop up. Place a mark where drain needs to be facing. Remove drain, apply adhesive and install.

Pipe was not long enough for our need- vessel sink on top of granite. The top rim cracked.

Loved it, matched with my bath hardware.
