The electric charcoal starter works very well. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it stared the charcoal in my new vision kamado grill.

This thing is awesome. Only takes 6-7 minutes to get the coals hot and no smell from lighter fluid.

I'm trying to use this with Prime 6 charcoal and have to use a chimney. This doesn't seem to transfer enough heat through the Vision Grill's metal plate.

This electric starter was exactly what I was looking for. It was much easier than user paper.

This is a must have for your Vision S-series Kamado Grill....really shouldn’t be an option. It’s game changer when you simply want to smoke low and slow as you can just get the charcoal started and manage the temperature from there. Before this purchase, I tried with a charcoal chimney but it’s far too easy to get the charcoal blistering hot initially....once you’ve done that then your smoke process becomes miserable. Once an insulated kamado gets too hot...pretty much impossible to bring that temperature back down and hold it at 225 degrees.
