Second coat came out with a blotchy cloudy/milky finish. Appears as if I had sprayed it with white paint. Not sure if I can rescue the project with some sanding or if it would be easier to just start all over. Have had this issue previously with the same product and have learn to make sure the can is well shaken and the wood surface is dry. Followed that process but still came out with crappy results.

I thought the big blob, yellow, drips were because it was old, or I had my finger too far forward, but it took 3 cans to do 1 door, I made sure my fingers were back and it still blobbed! Then, after the 3day cure time, in a controlled 38% humidity setting, moving the door to the side- to retrieve something behind it- left a color mark of what was under the Varathane! And the 1st layer of this stuff had been sprayed over a week ago! My next door will NOT include this project!

I'm a professional cabinet maker, who occasionally does side jobs. I use the small spray cans to finish them. I always use Minwax, but Home Depot doesn't carry that anymore so I had to use this. And it is terrible, I will never use this product again. Look elsewhere for what you need.

This does not dry clear. Ruined the look of my project. I'll try brush on of another brand next time.

Product works great and is easy to use. I like to use the brush on type but this is quick and easy and works for small projects.

Seems to be a good polyurethane. This is the first time using this brand.

Did great on sealing an outdoor bench.

My refinished table looks FANTASTIC!! Dries to the touch in a couple of hours. Takes three coats to cover adequately.

Goes on smoothly and dries in 1 to 2 hours. High gloss and smooth.

Every summer for the past few years I have been rebuilding my wood frame casement windows, a few at a time. Urethane spray is the final finish for the inside of the frame. Recently Home Depot changed suppliers from Minwax to Varathane for this product, so this was my first time using it. So far I am liking it. The Varathane dries noticeably slower than Minwax, but the finish looks a bit better. It remains to be seen how well this new urethane will hold up in the Colorado Sun, but I am optimistic.

After shaking the can as the instruction say. I sprayed it on a Red Cedar bench and it dried with what looked like spots all over it. I have to sand it off. Tried it again and it did the same thing. Won't ever use this again.

Spray worked well mostly. One it sprayed white dust which had to be removed. After that it did a very good job of spraying the clear varathane.

It has a consistent even spray pattern. The upside down feature works great! Good product!

The product was very easy to use and worked great for my table

I've only used the product once to put a second & third clear coat on the outside of a bird house. This particular can can be used upside down and in any other position between that and vertical. It was easy to apply and I believe will help the birdhouse to hold up in a hostel environment.

I thought 14 dollars was pricey for a spray can of polyurethane It was just ok Won’t purchase again

Takes a long time to dry. Like minwax polyurethane better.
