Fits without any modifications

The difference it made was simply amazing. I wish I had installed it in my other post. A perfect fit for my ProSeries Dover fence post. Definitely plan ahead when it comes to adding cement into the bottom fence slot or top opening.

I used the insert to add rigidity to the vinyl hinge post. It is easy to work with and cut to length. Since we have very rocky soil I had to remove 6” of it. Using another reviewer’s suggestion I clamped the post to the insert prior to placing the concrete around it. This made it much easier to properly align both pieces with the remaining posts. I also used a 2x4 as a wood block inside the insert on the edge of the post perpendicular to the gate to receive the hinge screws.

Actually stronger than I thought. Worked perfectly and seems to keep the post solid

Product was easy to install and performed as t was supposed to; provide additional support to fence post in a high wind area.

Previous owner of my house had put up 8 ft vinyl privacy fence, but they didn't reinforce the fence in any way, which I didn't realize. Sometime last winter, two of the vinyl posts failed. After replacing failed posts this spring, I reinforced them with these inserts which are great.

This item is supposed to stiffen a 5x5 vinyl post when used for with a vinyl gate, it is to be installed in the post that has the hinges so the 2" long screws that attach the hinge to the post have more "bite" into the aluminum insert. Unfortunately, the design of this insert only accommodates the 2" screws from one side of the hinge, the portion of the hinge that has three screws that wraps around the adjacent face of the post does not have an aluminum surface to "bite" into thus the end result is two screws attach to aluminum and three screws only have vinyl for "bite"... An adversary note to add a 2x4 on the face that is open would correct this issue or if this product had been designed with three aluminum faces. The fourth face needs to be open because of the top and bottom rails extend in for adjacent panel

Great item to use for repair of a cracked at the base vinyl fence post. Strengthens the post from the inside and saved me from having to dig out a post set in concrete.

Does it's job in the vinyl fence post. The Barrett Veranda Linden Gate kit includes 6 self tapping metal screws to attache the gate hinges to the vinyl post with the aluminum stiffener inside. The screws are not described in the list of items included in the gate kit but they were there in mine.

i Used these both normally and on top of concrete using SST’s from deck building. Washers bolts and nuts gave me a nice strong fence.
