Practical solution to build your own custom closet for a fraction of the cost. If you are fairly handy you can even incorporate drawers as well.

It is actually metric. It is 19-mm thick, not 3/4-inch. The holes are 5-mm diameter, at 32-mm on center, not 1/1-4-inch, and are 37-mm in from the edges. This matches the European standards, for cabinet manufacture, for which all kinds of hardware is made. This means you that you can readily install the Euro standard cup hinges for doors, and drawer slides. I am using these panels with and without the holes to make garage cabinets. There are some good instructions on line on how to do it. Search for “euro cabint construction”.

The Melamine product makes the installation quick and look professional when completed. It has very good strength and the finish holds up to daily use.

The boards were in good shape and do the job. The reason for the 5 stars is because Home Depot employees always know where their products are located. I can't say the same for the other home improvement store that starts with a "L".

Did not know it was drilled on one side but that is minor. I actually used it in a garage so it is nice for the purpose. I assume it is often used in closet construction side wall material and the holes hold shelving clips/pins. It is pretty sturdy with 16" center brackets. I could have used particleboard but this was the right size and prefinished so it worked well.

I bought this for a storage cabinet I'm making for my Ryobi tools and batteries. I love that the holes are predrilled and I can change the shelf locations easily to fit my different tool heights. Very heavy and well made at a reasonable price. If you're cutting the melamine, use a circular or table saw blade with a lot of teeth so it doesn't chip the melamine.
