As an avid gardener, I start many flowers and vegetables from seed and these trays are very sturdy and easily handle any number of soil blocks or starter cells. I was able to fit 12, 6 cell trays, in one of these trays for a total of 72 seedlings, 32, 3 in pots for my potted up seedlings, and 50 soil blocks. I like that they have smooth ribs on the bottom which makes them easy to slide them on and off the light rack. And they are made well enough that they don't bend or wobble with heavy loads of plants.

Very nice, heavy duty, tray to put half flats of cell packs of seedlings in. Raised grid on bottom keeps the trays from sitting in standing water. No drainage holes in this, but you could drill some if needed. Plastic is strong enough to use again and again without cracking or breaking. Hope to have this long term. It worked very well for planting my seedlings. Hoses right out so you can clean it easily.

These things are awesome ! They are super sturdy and just the right size for plant starters. We filled up four of them with seedlings for our garden mostly tomato plants and other vegetables. They were sturdy enough that I could put them on the 2 x 4 shelf that I’ve built into my greenhouse. They’re actually sturdy enough that I just have the lip of the tray sitting on the 2 x 4 top and bottom they’re pretty thick actually thicker than what I thought they would really be.

Tray is what a tray should be. Hard to find fault or get really excited about them. The tray did work well and held the seeds and moisture very well. We now have to follow our green thumb and see if we can grow things. This is a neat design with the raised spots in the floor of the tray and seems to work good at keeping the right amount of moisture on the starter plants. Time will tell but so far, so good!

As far as starting trays go, this one is very nice. It is made of much thicker plastic that the normal ones you would get from the nursery as well as being much deeper. The bottom has raised ridges to keep your peat pots off the bottom of the tray giving them a chance to dry a bit as well as get some oxygen. It did not come with a clear cover which would have been nice for seed propagation.

This review is for Viagrow 10 in. x 20 in. Extra-Strength Quad Seed Starter Propagation Tray. I have six of these trays. I am very happy with all of them. Viagrow is always one of my favorite brands to go when it comes to buying products for growing flowers and vegetable. I have been using seed starter trays from other brands for years before I switched to Viagrow. I wish I did it earlier. The one made by Viagrow are much stronger and I am sure will last much longer. No more flimsy trays. I am happy.

These are great. The ones I purchased from the nursery are thin and flimsy. These are think and strong. I grow fodder in them for my livestock. They work great and stand up well to multi uses without a problem. Great size for a great size of sod to pull out easily. I love that they stack well when not in use. They bottom design helps promote growth without getting water logged.

This is a huge improvement over the tray I was using last year. It is super firm and doesn't have any flex to it. The tray I used last year was pretty flimsy and if you have it loaded up, it was tricky to move without spilling water and dumping your seedlings. This tray is nice and stable. I am going to enjoy using this quite a bit more. An added bonus is that the lid from my last try fits on it. Your mileage may vary.

I did not even open the package. For the same price I was able to pick up 10 trays. They were the exact same brand. So I just simply returned it at Home Depot. Home Depot lower your price!
