Living in a hoa community it is annoying to get notices to "refreshen" our pine straw. We are very happy with the color of the mocha brown rubber mulch because we wanted a dark brown that didn't have a red-brown tone and this was it! We feel that $7 per small bag is a little overpriced so we only used it in our front yard and pine straw in the back yard. If Home Depot would price these at $5 a bag we would buy more of them! We did end up buying the scott's landscape border to trim the area for another landscape island in our yard to hold the mulch in and it worked well.

I was a little leary of this product because I have purchased another brand of rubber mulch... unfortunately that brand can only be ordered in very large quantities...I only need a small amount for under hedges in front yard....purchased 20 bags and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised ...mulch covers well and looks great!!! I have another area on the side of my home by the A/C unit to do and I will be back for more!!!

Love this product! I used this to create a boarder around my above ground pool so the grass would not grow directly up to the liner making it easier for me to weedeat around it without fear of harming the pool liner. I also used the Vigoro no dig edging. Would highly recommend both.

I Love this Rubber Mulch. I don't have to add it every year. It's nice for the areas where the grandkids play because it's a lot softer when they fall and they don't get splinters when they don't wear shoes. The only thing I don't like is after a few years it does fade some. I've been using the Rubber Mulch for about 4 years. So worth it.

I used this mulch to fill in a succulent garden in my front yard. I've had several neighbors stop me and ask what I used because it looked so nice. The mocha color really makes the colors in the succulents pop. I've had it down for about a month now and it really seems to be helping to keep the weeds and grasses that were invading the garden down.

    My whole back yard
Basically 2/3 of my back yard is rubber mulch. Doesn't float, last, and stops weed growth. 20 times better than cypress mulch. By the way with a standard leaf blower leaves just blow off leaves, not the mulch.

    Great product
I was planning on using shredded rubber mulch around my house, because I hate how wood mulch fades so quickly and develops white fungus, but not until next Spring. However, I needed something to put around a patio area that was in place of our pool. I went with the nuggets to save some money, as the shredded is $4 more per bag. However, after spreading this, I will use this around the front as well. Spreads so easily, covers alot, and looks great. I love how light the bags are to carry to where you need them, as opposed to shovel and wheelbarrow. Really tempted me to replace the mulch in the front as well now, instead of waiting til Spring, but I'll see what it looks like after a winter.

    Once in a lifetime project
Our son and daughter-in-law spent a week landscaping the area between our office and house. We decided to go with rubber mulch because of the great reviews it had. So thankful we did! Love the mocha chocolate color that is guaranteed for 12 yrs. We love the looks of it and trust we won't have to keep adding to it like you do with wood mulch. Liked the idea of fewer insects also.

    Really, Really, Really Nice Product
The product was just what I needed to cover various areas around my house. The color and consistency of the mulch is perfect and it is very easy to spread. I have attached one of the many photos taken at the completion of the project.

Love the Rubber Mulch from Home Depot
I have used the Mocha Brown Rubber Mulch before and love it. Soft to the bare feet and stays in place. Performs as expected. In the photo, I used the Mocha Brown Rubber Mulch in front of a Tiny House that was built from an old oak 8'x8' chicken house. The Mocha Brown Rubber Mulch is perfect around the fire pit!

    Great Stuff!
I raked out the bigger pieces of old hardwood mulch already in my beds and then spread this stuff. If the mulch is close in color to the old stuff you're replacing, you can go pretty light with the coverage. Each bag only covers .8cu ft., but I don't think I have even a 2" depth on average. The pieces are smaller than regular mulch and so far at least 2 of my neighbors are going to use it as well after seeing mine. The big bonus is looking at how nice this is and thinking about how many tires are NOT in a landfill now! And don't worry, almost zero odor and I have a sensitive sniffer.

    Worth every penny
We just finished landscaping our yard and decided instead of buying wood mulch we'd spend the extra money up front on rubber mulch. We looked at several brands and the Vigaro was just as good quality and color as the others but much less expensive. We ordered 60 bags online and they had them set apart on a pallet for us when we went to pick up our order. They just fork-lifted the whole pallet into the bed of our pickup. This mulch is very good quality. We didn't find any metal at all. There are a few "fuzzy" pieces but they just blend in. It's nice and heavy and weathered the recent rain without moving an inch.

Great for around kid's play area
I placed about a 4 inch deep mound around a climbing wall and saw a huge difference in the kid's ability to jump down without any limping. The mulch is pricey compared to other mulches but seems to be worth the costs. Only issue is that the kids kick the mulch into the lawn and getting it back into the proper place seems darn near impossible and I realize the stuff will never decompose...trade offs within my first world problems ;-)

    Outstanding Mulch
I have used this product for several years. This is the best rubber mulch out there, period. Looks absolutely great and does not attract insects. And to top it off, it has a 12 year color fast guarantee!

    LOOKS GREAT
This looks spectacular in our yard - Used a lot of bags, 95 for front yard. PLEASE NOTE: Double check price on the large bulk bag and notice it is a great deal more money than buying the same cubic feet in individual bags??? Besides it was easier for me to deal with my self in the individual bags. When I tried to order 100 bags for my back yard - for the product it would be $697.00 but they wanted to charge me $1,000.00 for shipping - $10.00 per bag to ship to the store, that's more than the product it self unless I wanted to drive to one location 60 miles away and another location 250 miles away - so just be careful as to where you are and where the bags in stock are. In short I changed the color in my back yard to the Cedar Red instead of the Mocha Brown no shipping charges then and it still looks great.

    Greatest landscape material
I love this product. I first used it last year and was very impressed with how it weathered over the winter, looked like new. Bought more to landscape around more plantings. It is pet friendly, my Yorkie doesn't get any slivers in his paws.

Looks great, hope it lasts as advertised
If I get 10+ years, this will be a great purchase. As of now, it looks fantastic, but that was not really in question. Given the effort, I did put down fabric and vigoro composite edging.

      Recommended Mulch
The only complaint I have is the additional cost compaired to the traditional bark. But I am assuming added costs are needed to manufacture this product. If you look closely, you can tell that it is repurposed tires. It is a nice way to keep them out of the landfills. I dont have anyone that will be inspecting my flower beds that closely to tell I have rubber in my beds. I have put the traditional bark down in many garden/flower beds over the years. They degrade and fade within one year. They look & smell great only for a few weeks before the color is sucked from them from our watering and heat here in Arizona. The rubber smell was gone with in a few days. I used 20 bags on four beds around the back patio and 20 bags in the long bed along the west side of the house. Last monsoon my traditional light bark floated off in the rains. This rubber bark is heavier. I laid out some weed prevention paper under the bark (with the investment why not get a roll and save some work later on down the line).

      Love this product
I've been slowly replacing all the old bark mulch with Vigoro Rubber Mulch. It does a terrific job keeping weeds to a minimum even when I did not use landscaping fabric underneath. My most recent project was a new installation and I also used Vigoro Pond Pebbles. I am very pleased with both products and would definitely use both again.

      once and done
no need to replace mulch every year. Color will last 12 years. No bugs. Holds heat for plants. Use weed block material underneath to be weed free for years.

      Easy to work with
These light weight bags were so much easier to carry and so much cleaner to handle than regular mulch. There were a lot of bags, but the ease in carrying made it so much better. The product does have a distinct smell which isn't very "natural", but it looks good. It is guaranteed to last for year. I guess we will have to wait and see.

      Excellent Product ECO Friendly
The product is excellent and looked beautiful when we laid it in our new garden. We were excited about using a recycled product. UNFORTUNATELY, it was no match for our puppy... more of this product will definitely be used now that we have a fence up!

      Really Nice Addition
Wound up buying 22 bags for a 10x10 foot section of landing at the base of our new deck in the inner city. Of all the colors this seemed a more natural choice than black or red. I would usually go for organic mulch BUT: Feral cats all over the neighborhood, who like pooping in mulch. The little black house ants also can nest in the organic material. Organic mulch begins bleaching in sun and you then have to add more or replace what you've got every year or two. Also, these bags are much lighter in weight, so easier to transport, apply and manage. The color lasts at least 10 years (says the product) vs one for tree mulch. The rubber bits are simply recycled tires which are then painted. You can smell some rubber scent but it isn't overwhelming, and I assume it will dissipate as it rains and breathes. My wife who embraces natural products was pleasantly surprised when she saw the new landing after returning from a vacation and suggested we do even more around the house.

Looks and Works Great! Playset Approved
Purchased the Vigoro Rubber Mulch to enhance the safety and look of our children's playset in the backyard. Combined two colors of mulch and used EcoBorder Landscape Edging to create a play area that not only works great, but looks amazing too. I would highly recommend rubber mulch not only for the play surface, but for the low-maintenance as you don't have to replace it every year like traditional mulch.

The product looks real.... the only set back is that it comes clumped together and you have to break it up. Was tough to do that.

        Would definitely do this again
I purchased this for our front yard of our new home. For starters, it's quick and easy to put down and the bags weigh much less than traditional mulch so I could carry a bag with one hand. I put down weed barrier first and just dumped the bags out spreading it with either my foot or bare hands. My neighbors were so impressed that they said they're going to get it as well. We had a few days of heavy rain and unlike bark, this all stayed in place. I'm looking forward to a summer free of pulling weeds and having my yard look great and will be adding this to the backyard when we start on that.

        Works Great for Years
I have bought a great deal of this for all the flower beds in my front yard at least three years ago and just placed a somewhat thin layer over existing organic mulch and it has not faded a bit. I typically plant annuals each year and so when I do I will typically grab a few extra bags of this just to fill in the areas where the organic mulch has decomposed. This is a great savings on time and money when compared to buying organic mulch and spending hours each year spreading. Overall this is a one and done for years product! This is one that when I mentioned to some landscaper friends they did not like it because it would make it so that they lose business because it lasts so long!
